Sorry I've been MIA the last few days. Have been keeping up with the posts but haven't really had the time to write one myself. Anyway, here goes:
Juniper, a big congratulations to you! I saw your Beta # and your levels are looking great. Well done!
Brunette, I'm happy to hear you've made it out of the house again. I can totally understand how frustrating it must be for you to be so helpless right now and dependent on others. After we moved to Oz, there was a point when DH went back to work and I hadn't started looking for a job yet, so I was just home without anything really to do. I wasn't even stuck on bed rest like you but found it really depressing being by myself all day without a real purpose besides trying to keep the house clean and cook dinner every night. So I can only imagine how much worse it must be for you when you're forbidden from even doing things for yourself! Just remember it's all for the best cause of all, sweetie, and soon enough you're going to be busier than you can imagine with two little babies to look after!
Leabie, congrats on your scan. Hooray that all was looking well!
Lise, the new ticker is really cute.
Hi to everyone else . . . I think I'm too far behind to comment on some of the stuff that took place days ago now.
AFM, I had my first scan on Wednesday at exactly 6 weeks. I'm happy to report that it went great. We were able to see the flickering of what is the beginning of the little speck's heart beating away. There really wasn't all that much to see, but my FS said that the shape and size of the amniotic sac looked really good, as well as the size of the little being starting to take shape inside. He said that sometimes the sacs are smallish and oddly shaped, but that mine was big and really symmetrical, and that he thought that boded well for a good healthy baby down the track. Yay! He even gave me a pic to take to DH since DH wasn't able to come to the appointment. Of course, DH, who is actually quite interested in what is happening, took a look and said that he couldn't really see anything. Oh well. The FS also gave me some info about the different OBs that are available at John Flynn, which is where I want to give birth, and I'm happy that I was able to book in with the OB that I wanted although he won't see me until I'm around 13 weeks. Next up for me is another scan with the FS at 8 weeks. FX that things continue progressing well!
Hope some of you have fun plans for the weekend. AFM, I have to read about 150 pages of extremely dry and boring material for work, so that's what I'll be doing the rest of the day. Fun, fun, fun.
