Paula, thanks for reassurance re pains. It's so hard to know what is normal/not; when to worry/not when it's the first time! Same goes for advice re doing the deed So good that you're enjoying your antenatal classes so much. Is it the content or the people, or combo of both?

Juniper, we're thinking of having a lunch in about 3 weeks time (Friday) if you're free and interested. When I say "we" I mean Mum2be and me. Hopefully the MS will be better/gone by then? I have heard good things about the Mater. I have to say I wouldn't have chosen North West as my first choice; but I love my FS/OB; he is so nice and calming so I'm going where he is. Mind you, if bubs come too early apparently it's the Royal Brisbane as they have an intensive care unit. Needless to say, I don't want to go there as I want bubs to stay in for at least 35 weeks. Return to work is good but tiring. Got to get over the fear I'm still carrying from such a bad start to the PG and just enjoy being PG.

Lairdoz, just saw your post after I posted. You will be fine. As others have said, try not to read/worry about the bad stories. Of course they happen but worrying won't stop bad things happening. I know this is easier said than done; trust me because I worried for the first 12 weeks (and to be honest, because of it, still am). I hope you're having twins! Join me on this journey of twinnies!

Brunette, I'd love to if I can get there. I'm guessing it'll be in the city again? I'll have to see if I can make a trip in but won't know until closer to the date. Darn this working in the suburbs lark! FX you don't get to test out the RBWH.

Lairdoz, there are so many things that can go wrong. If you worry about all of them you won't enjoy a single minute of your pregnancy. Right now, you are pregnant! So long as you are doing all the sensible things (eg no alcohol, no strenuous exercise, safe food choices, etc) then there is nothing more you can do to keep your bub(s) safe. Stop, take a deep breath and just be pregnant. You've worked hard for this - enjoy it!

    Hi ladies,

not going to do persies again today as i'm still a bit cranky. I'm very over having cramps all the time that turn into nothing. Seems to be a bit of a pattern, a day of cramps then a day of nothing, today is a day of cramps but they don't increase in intensity and then they just stop. OB appointment tomorrow, not that I expect that will reveal anything new.

Hope you're all travelling along nicely - sending good wishes and belly rubs to all despite my lack of personals!

    Hi Ladies,

Sorry I've been MIA for a few weeks. I've been reading this thread every couple of days, but have had MS from mid-afternoon through the evening, which is the only time I have to check BB lately (work has gotten very busy the past month or so), and so by the time I'm done reading, I just haven't had the energy to post. Luckily I feel OK in the morning, so I'm able to seem "normal" at work, esp. since it doesn't get really bad till dinner time. Just to fill you in, I had my 8 week scan 2 weeks ago and all looked good, so things seem to be progressing apace. Looking forward to the 12-week scan in a week and a half, although I suppose I should be getting nervous about the Down syndrome check, considering my age (38).

I am thinking of all you you. I'm probably too far behind to do full personals, but here are a few thoughts:

Lise, I hope your bub comes soon!

LondonMiss, it looks like you're getting close there, too.

Brunette, I'm so happy to hear that things are now going well after all of your scares. Enjoy being able to move around again!

Renee, so sorry to hear your MS is continuing and that you even ended up in hospital because of it.

Maggie, so sorry to hear of your continuing MS, too. I hope the medication works. Hearing about your and Renee's experience, I really can't complain about only having MS in the second half of the day. Plus, I'm only nauseous, not puking.

Lairdoz, welcome and a big congratulations for you that it worked this month! I'm so happy for you. Don't worry about that stupid comment in the belly buddies thread; with your sky-high HCG levels, it sounds like your pregnancy must be supremely healthy.

Leabie and Glenny - good luck with your scans next week. Glenny, I hope all goes well so you can start telling people. My DH and I decided to start telling family after our 8 week scan, but ended up waiting till last week (9 weeks) b/c my SIL had a baby the day after my 8-week scan and I didn't want to intrude on her being the center of attention (she deserves it after having a M/C last year). It's been fun telling family, but we're not going to tell anyone else until after our 12-week scan, which is a week from next Wednesday.

    Hi to everyone I've missed!

Ladies - it's time!! Drum roll please. I've been back through 23 pages and this is what I've gleaned but there will be loads of mistakes, so please make changes, I'll delete this list and post a correct one here. Anyone heard from Seph? It's saturday and there's chocolate and marmalade cake in the oven. Happy days

[deleted - see page 4 for the new list]

LondonMiss - I saw on another thread that Seph had her boy, Archie.

Spoke to midwife about the pinkness but all she said was keep an eye on it and let them know if anything changes. So could still be here forever oh well, good to know it's nothing bad.

Ladies - I am thinking of everyone but no energy to post properly sorry! Just don't think badly of me until you're at this end stuck with a useless brain...

hugs and belly rubs to all xx

Thanks Ladies - I don't normally go looking for awful stories so was kind of surprised someone would write that in reply in a newly pregnant belly buddies forum. Think I will just lay low until I get my ultrasound in here.

Lairdoz- Congrats to you on your pregnancy first of all. I'm sorry that someone was so insensitive to respond to your news like that. The last thing you want to hear when you share happy news of a pregnancy.

Try and enjoy it! We have a saying in my belly belly group(I think it's a belly belly motto) PUPO- Pregnant until proven otherwise! I know how hard it is nt to worry though

Thanks so much Glenny, I am a little too self-obsessed at the moment and I hope I will be of more use in here once I have had my 1st ultrasound (but then of course I have my 8 week, 12 week and 19 week scans to stress about too!). I had a fantastic pregnancy last time so am hoping for the same this time.

Brunette its probably a combo of both. Interesting content and great group. We all had a great big laugh last night when PND turned to sexual talk. Totally crazy! Two more classes left.
Lairdoz that is a very insensitive thing to say but dont worry to much (i know, easily said than done) but i have a group of sick fellow belly buddies and me on the other hand have been very lucky with everything going really well with my pregnancy so everyone is different and you just have to try your best to enjoy your pregnancy. Im sure we all worry at the best of times during pregnancy and we will be worrying forever even once our bubs are here.
lise how did your obs appointment go today?

Good Luck Lise! A number of my friends who have had babies recently have woken up in the middle of the night in labour. Try to rest and get your strength up.... can't be long now!! Looking forward to hearing your news. x
