I would take a pregnancy multi-vitamin of some kind cause it covers everything.
Brunette- that cake sounds AWESOME!!! And how exciting doing a photo shoot, i really want to do one but i have stretch marks so im not sure if that'll turn me off..??
Airline....... Yay for a boy!!!!!!!!!!! A little friend for my Wyatt :)

ABJ - congratulations and welcome! Blackmores Pregnancy & Breastfeeding Gold seems to be recommended over Elevit as it has more iodine (I think). Although some people get a bit quesy on it.

Hi girls,
Glad to hear everyone is moving along nicely. AFM I haven't been able to shake this cough / sinus thing. Went to Dr yesterday who said I was this much (about a cm with the fingers) off having pneumonia. So on antibiotics and told to take it easy ha ha as we are moving this weekend! Was also meant to work this weekend but probably won't the way I am feeling at the moment.
Will write more when feeling like I can... For now off to the lounge....
-
abj - i take blackmores preg and bf tablets but make sure you don't also take folic acid tablets as well. read the warning on the back of the bottle. :) and Congrats. Your worries and concerns are very normal - i'm still in worry hell atm but fx for a h and h 9/10 months :)
Leabie - i had to laugh at your comment that you can't even remember where your keys are... preggy brain hit me hard yesterday .... I had to google "how many weeks in a year" Couldn't remember if it was 52 or 56! and with DS, i once came home from work and put my handbag in the freezer, lucky DH saw me do it or i'd never have found it!!! lol I think you'll find the yoga will really help. I used Juju Sunjin's birth skills book and will again this time. It was all about distracting your mind with breathing, chanting, repeating movements etc and with a tens machine and the gas I was able to birth DS within 7 hrs of going into labour (i know, very very lucky lady to have such a short first labour :) )
kellyd - that sounds like a great deal! and a good idea to get the seats that sees them through to 7 as well. I can't imagine the logisitics you have to now consider with 3! and I agree, I get girl vibes from you too. :)
maggiepie - do rest up love! pneum is hte last thing you need right now! (obviously!!, i like to state the obvious, makes me feel needed lol). I do hope you feel better soon love.
hi to all the other girlies. Fingers crossed ds doesn't have another huge morning sleep so we can go to playgroup. Oh and the nausea has stepped up a notch lately to little throat voms... mmmmm tasty. hahaha

Everyone seems to be going great which is wonderful. Will catch up with you all soon.
-
Ooooh very slowly moving up that list ;)
-
Oh My Gosh!!! I'm Number 5 on the list!!!!
-
Thanks so much Jaki80, Grub17 and CK77 for your lovely comments and info re the vitamins. I'm sure I'll have many more questions later. Just getting my head around the whole BFP thing. Feel a bit shell shocked that its finally happened! :)
-
Hey Everyone
Well, I finally got a BFP on Tuesday, so I am about 4 and a bit weeks pregnant. Now I just have to keep the baby growing!! I've been ordered to rest lots and take it easy!! So that is what I am doing. Thank goodness I work from home!
-
abj: welcome and hape you have a h & h 9 months. I also take blackmores gold pregnancy, I used to take elevit but they make me sick. As i'm having twins my Ob has also put me on additional calcium, folate & iron supplements.
babytruj: Congrats & welcome. I know your journey has been a long on to get here but you did it.... Now make sure you follow Dr's orders and rest up.
Hi everyone else, hope you are all growing nicely...
AFM: Well it seems I'm getting my energy back - 12 weeks on Saturday - so today I've spent the morning cleaning and vacuuming our station wagon and putting Tara's new car seat into the car. I went out yesterday and put on layby our pram (not much out there for twins and a toddler) but managed to get the Valco Baby Twin with Toddler Seat for $300 off. Still expensive but any saving is good, and I also bought Tara's and laybyed to babies carseats. I mananged to get 3 Babylove easy combo booster seats which do from 8kg-26kg for $190 each, so as we will hire the capsules for the first 8 mths then all the kids will have the same seat and we don't have to think about upgrading when we need the booster seats.
So now looks like I have got the pram and car seats for less then I was looking at spending on a pram alone and now all I can think that we will need is another portacot (we will have one in the lounge room for during the day and 1 in our room for night as they will share) and then don't have to worry about a second cot and bed for Tara until the babies are around 6mths old. It has taken a load off my mind now as we thought we would be spending so much having to get extra stuff, but we are pretty much done....
I hope you all have a fab weekend, we have a long weekend this one for Ballarat Show Day so DH is home for 3 days....
-
BabyTruj - welcome  and congratulations!!!!
Kelly - I picked up a portacot from the recent Target baby-thon sale $89, has the bassinet level, the change table, and a big deep pocket on one end for bits and bobs (not sure yet what those bits and bobs will be....). Already set up in the loungeroom for daytime sleeps (and to make sure our dog is fully prepped for baby's arrival in a little over a month.
Renee - welcome back, hope you are well. You'll have to hand over that list soon!!
Grub - I'm on the Blackmores PLUS a folic/iron tablet as my iron was a bit low at the last blood test a few weeks back. I hope I'm not overdosing on folic acid, then again I *may* sometimes forget to take the tablets even though they are in plain sight on the kitchen bench....
Poor MaggiePie, hope the drugs kill your bug quick smart.
Had my 34 1/2 week appt the other day, my OBs is at a conference in the States so there are midwives covering his appointments, and it was THE BEST appt I have had! She manipulated my belly, told me where everything was (head is right down the bottom, here's an arm in between my fingers, here's a knee.. that kind of thing). She spent time asking us if we were excited being that this is our first, have we sorted out the nursery, how we enjoyed the antenatal classes.... it was the 1st time my appt has gone longer than 5 minutes (except for a 32 week scan). The only downside is that the appt was $40, all of which is non claimable by medicare, as medicare treats midwives differently apparently. I have another appt in about a fortnight again with a midwife. If the next midwife is as good as the first, I reckon I should be hoping my OB is out of the country for the birth!!

Thanks Guys for the welcome
CK77 were you in the LTTTC thread?? I was there earlier this year, and for my cycle in May, but this time, I just didn't want to talk about it. Didn't even tell friends and family exact transfer date!!
-
Congrats and welcome to Babytruj and abj!! Babytruj I remember your name from the LTTC threads, I felt like I lived there for years...
Hi to Renee, nice to see you again and hope you have a smoother couple of months ahead.
I was going to write more but my DD has decided to have a melt-down behind me soI had better get going!!
:)

Hi Lairdoz, so nice to see familiar names in here. And to see the BFP's! I just have to hope mine sticks this time!!!
-
Congrats abj and babytruj!! :confetti:
abj, my OB recommended the blackmores gold. I also take an extra fish oil supplement with it because the blackmores gold has less EPA than I was taking before starting it.
airline, congrats on your little boy!!
Hi to everyone else! :hello:
Sorry for the brief post. I've been reading but am still crazy busy with work. OB appt tomorrow and should get GTT results. Do you think they'd have called as soon as they got the results if I failed? I'm hoping not hearing from them means I passed. Guess I'll find out in the morning...
-
Thanks ladies for your welcome backs.
Welcome and Congrats abj & babytruj:dance: hope you have a H & H 9 months.
CK77 - Hi i know we are getting awfully close to the top of that list. Most midwives are great hey, I'm doing shared care and love my GP but when i have to go to the hospital the midwives up there are always lovely. Sounds like everything is going great with you and bub, not long now:D
Hi to everyone, hope you all have lovely days!!
-
just regarding folic acid and the vitamins, I must admit I was also doing both! until DH read the back of the bottles (hey i lost my glasses for a fortnight and that print is really small, plus who reads the warnings! pft) which said not to combo the folic and vitamins cos it's cos folic in it. So freaking out i'd killed our baby I googled and it said you can't relaly overdose of folic acid and if you are carrying a bit of extra weight (yep, thanks to last baby lol) then also taking an extra folic tablet might be a good idea. hope some of that makes sense and puts your minds at ease if you are being a good mummy and taking very vitamin known to man! lol.
hi babytruj - it HAS stuck! we just need it to hold on :) positive thoughts love and really enjoy your moment. No matter the outcome which you can't control anyway, you're carrying new life and you've got a bubba inside you. But i do know the worry, it's so hard!
thanks for the list Renee! hope you are well.
CK - lol wait til you're at the top and then some blighter who is supposed to be waiting HER turn comes and steals your thunder lol. Happened to me I went over and a few people went under and booooyyyyy I was dirty bout that lol.
juniper - get the results yet?
kelly - that's so great you got that all sorted. yeah once i sat down and thought was we really need for number 2, it isn't taht much cos we have got lots of stuff as it is!
I told DH last night i'd changed my mind about finding out the sex. we were going to find out but not tell anyone we had and obviously not share. but now i think i want the surprise completely. I love love love surprises and this is the ultimate and may be my last baby so i think we might not find out.... and in 12 or so weeks when i'm having my20 week scan, who wants to bet i can't help myself!!!
poooeyyy i smell a poo. better go change my stinky little boy.
