Pregnancy after LT TTC #16

BDT: Welcome back to the second round mummy club. Isn't it amazing to see that we love all our babies so much we just have to have some more.. I'm nosy like grub as well... did you go for one or two again this time??? Is it freaking you to think of how many goes it took to get your girls and this time around BAM it happened so fast. I only had the 2 FET goes this time around and I was sure I would use all of my embryo's before anything would happen.

Grub: Yay on a fantastic scan and I think you are meant to have a surprise with this one, you could be right though having a prudish little girl in there who didn't want to show of her bits... Not like when we had our 20 week scan with Tara as she decided to flip over and spread her legs so we really had no choice in the matter and these 2 are also more than willing to show their willies whenever the opportunity arises..

Possum: I can't wait to her how you scan goes, you will be so amazed by how much bubs has grwon though..

Girls, I am trying to rest up as much as possible but I now have this need to get all the final things for the boys arranged as I'm now starting to think they might be here earlier but they can't come for another 9 weeks at least as if they come any earlier we will be off to Melbourne and that will just be so hard to manage. My parents are also going on holiday for 2 weeks next monday so there goes my 1 day a week helpers to take Tara off my hands for a few hours, so I just really need to get through the next 2 weeks and hopefully I'll be able to have some more assistance with my full on 16 month old. Plus I'm sure that after tomorrow's Ob appt I'll be on at least 2 weekly appt from now on, plus my regular scans and maybe I might even start weekly CTG monitoring early as well (was going to start at 32 weeks) but I have a feeling my Ob will want to be over cautious now. Oh well I suppose I'll find out more tomorrow...

BDT- Oh, I am so excited for you!! wow :D It's so nice to have around some of the ladies I have talked to over the years and who have offered me such support

Grub- fantastic news about your scan....love reading your excitement too. I think good scans just leave you on such a high! hooray for you and DH

kelly- good luck with getting a bit more of a plan after your appt tomorrow. I can understand your mind buzzing with all the things you need to get done etc. sometimes I feel overwhelmed by the things we need to buy, get done at home etc, and I am only just starting out!

Oh no, just to add to my confusion I thought I had better check with DH that he is still happy with the names we have chosen for the boys after all that happened on the weekend. He tells me at 9.30 last night that he is happy with 1 of the names but not too keen on the other one.. WT... we have had those names for 9 weeks now and even though I am still open to ideas it put me into a spin as I have been mentally referring to my boys by the names chosen. Grub as you know the names I hate to say it but the "C" name is now out the window. So I was sitting up last night going through the names book again trying to find more name options and we have now possibly chosen a new name. It is a boys name that I really like and DH seems happy with that... I hope so anyway as I now need to change my thinking again to now refer to Twin B by something else, so we now have a name starting with "L" which is the twin on the left and one starting with "R" for our twin on the right.

i just like peeking in here every now and then and it is so exciting for those utd again. those of my friend who i went thru getting baby number one i am so excited for you.
i have my fs app on 23rd feb and hoping for another IVF /ICSI cycle for me. so fingers crossed i'll be posting in here soon.

Kelly - Men! dh still won't budge off Emily for a girl. that's it. won't even consider any other names pft. but mind you I'm not being flexible if it's a boy - not that DH seems worried too much. I have been so convinced we're having a girl, i have unintentionally also sold DH on the idea ... oops. Just hope there's no disappointment if its a little boy (not from me tho :))

Have a 'talk and tour' of the birth centre tomorrow. I just pray DS plays nice and doesn't crack a narny cos I have no one who can take care of him and have to take him with me (the middys said it was fine but he's at that mr stubbornly independent stage).

Hi everyone - I'm popping back in again. I have been laying low since the bleed last week, which I'm glad to report has not come back and I think we now have an answer as to what it was.............................my scan went well today, but we have a low lying placenta. We are 12 weeks and 4 days along. Got to see all the parts, movement etc. Thanks to high tech equipment we got the 70% sex, but want to wait until the next scan at 20 weeks to have that confirmed!!! DH cried like a baby again. Reminded me of how emotional and looooong our journey has been so far. We had great results from the NF scan & bloods. Apparently I have the same chance as a 15 year old of having a downs baby. So given those fantastic stats we will not be having an amnio.

Possums - you're next girl. Tomorrow. Wouldn't it be great if we were due same day??? We are currently 26th August.

BDT - well hello. So great to see you guys are going for your next bub already. I understand why. We should have a catch up. I have so much to tell you as we use the same clinic etc. And of course I haven't met your girls. PLUS I want your good counsel on the hospitals here. Send me a msg when you have a moment and let me what days are good for you. Everything crossed for you for this little bub!!!!

Grub - all sounds good girlfriend. How excitement! I agree about the head. I'm sure m baby's head looked more like one sex than the other. Love your new pic by the way.

Kelly - Ah yes, the names conversation!!! We are having that one already. It's so funny when you think you've found the perfect names and then DH screws his nose up!!! And I'm with everyone - REST. Gets boring doesn't it? I've been "resting" to make sure I get through the 1st tri. I am almost at the point of watching the paint peel off the ceiling. Although thankfully I've discovered Sea Sickness wrist bands!!! Yay! They are definitely taking the edge off the all day sickness that I was hoping would have passed by now....................

Hi Ladies - great to see some new names in here!

My beautiful little son, Thomas was born last Thursday after a 1 hour 40 minute labour - 26 minutes shorter than with my DD. Induced with waters broken and away we went. Some stiches but a walk in the park after an episiotomy with my DD. Would have left hospital after one day but stayed in so bubs could have his guthrie test in hospital to avoid having to get someone to come out to the house. Feel normal already, albeit with really large boobs!
He's healthy and doing all the things he is supposed to. My DD has been a little angel and I feel so blessed beyond words that I have a boy and a girl - and that they are both healthy. My DH is pretty cool too ;)

Hi OneDay 86 and Baby Dreamtime! Yay some new faces! I am the current keeper of “the list” so let me know your due dates and I will add you on.

And OneDay - as the others have said it is perfectly natural to be anxious. It is a such a hard time as you are excited on one hand and terrified on the other. I guess you have to take comfort in the fact that the hard part (ie getting pregnant) is done!

Grub – love the avvy that is awesome. And congrats on a great scan!

kellyD – Hope you’re still going ok. We had DS’s name set in stone til about 36 weeks when I was having a lay down and realised that his first and last name said together rhymed with an STD (obscurely but all it would take was one kid in school to realise it!). We had a back up but even on the way to the hosp we were trying to come up with others. We ended up with our backup and are so glad we did – it suits him a million times better than the original fav.

Mindhugs – glad the bleed seemed to have stopped and you have a reason for it. And well done on the NT test results – must be a huge weight off.

I’m just counting down now to next Monday for my big scan. We will find out the sex so that is exciting, but I guess I just want to know everything is all ok. I had a scan on Friday with my midwife and she poked my tummy to see bub’s reaction to movement and it did this awesome defensive move and then turned its head to us and opened its mouth as if to say “what the-??” So it apparently has attitude and awesome moves hence we have now called it “Ninja”. :ninja: Of course it then put its hand over its eyes and put its head back so it looks like it’s going to be a bit of a drama king/queen like it’s big bro. And reassuringly, my MW said the reaction was excellent for a baby of that gestation so I’m pretty stoked about that :)

There are so many more persies I want to do but have to get ready for work. I was actually popping in here to have a stupid little whinge like last time about the ease at which others get UTD, but after reading all of your posts, I'm just so happy and couldn't give a toss about all of that other stuff. Without the 'lows' we've been through, maybe they don't get the ecstatic 'highs' we experience. Anyway, gotta go

Well our talk and tour of the birth centre ain't happening this morn. The weather is feral and we are expecting a cyclone to have developed by this arvo ggrrr. It's been blowing a gale (literally) for the past 24-36 hrs and absolutely pouring... i only got about 3 hrs sleep last night between the wind, rain, sore hips and dancing baby ggrrrr

am hoping DH gets sent home early so i can go to bed lol

Thanks for the welcome back, though I have to admit I feel like a bit of a fraud it being so early and am still in shock. I have BT on Friday to confirm, and then I guess follow up BT on Monday to check levels rising, and then early scan the following Monday, and if all is as it should be my FS will hand me over to my OB. Still can't believe it. We did exactly the same protocol as last time with Prednisone, Clexane and low dose aspirin, so that must be my magic mix. It just amazes me that I have a BFP from the first cycle (2nd time round). Surely I couldn't be one of those lucky ones? So only 14dpo today, but as I said, I am determined to be positive :) YAY!

We only did the 1 emby this time, though I have secret fantasies of another set of twins, perhaps if someone could guarantee me twin boys this time, I would go for it. I just loved it. But two or one is so amazing either way. I must admit I am a little ashamed to say when I first found out I was having two girls I had gender dissapointment. I had always hoped for a boy. Now I can't imagine it any other way, my girls are divine, and if we have another, DH is settled to the fact he will be surrounded by women (who love him).

Grub, glad your scan went well, cheeky munchkin not showing you the goods, will be such a lovely surprise for you. You are stronger than me to not find out.

Jaki, hi, my gosh you are almost 35 weeks, where did the time go? I hope you are travelling well.

KellyD, I have been stalking you quitely, glad all is going well, I couldn't have imagined having a toddler to run around after also, you are doing so great. Hope your OB appointment went great. I didn't start CTG monitoring until I had a few braxton hicks scares, which were about 34 weeks. And did fortnightly OB appointments from about 30 weeks, with full scans to check growth at 32, 34 and 36 weeks. Like the girls are saying, take care and rest as much as you can with as much guilt free lounging on the couch as you can squeeze in.

Possums, so excited for your scan today, will be thinking of you and will be back in to check on your news.

Kaybee, I was one of the ones who loved to have a whinge about how other could get UTD so quickly. But if I am lucky this time, I will keep my mouth shut from here on in. Though I have always felt that ache when hearing of others' easy conceptions, even after having my girls, this did not go away. I wouldn't change what I had to go through to get there as it gave me my girls, I just wish it hadn't been so god damn hard.

Will be staking this thread until I have my confirmation. But best get back to work. Love to all

Although not so great about your low lying placenta, hopefully it will move over time (I believe they can?) I find it touching your DH is so emotional. I tend to do the crying for us each time :lol:

BDT- I have everything crossed for you my friend! it's so wonderful and I love your positive attitude. I am on clexane for the whole pregnancy..it seems to have been helping me so far this time. You mention the gender disappointment...funny I have always imagined having a girl, so I have been staring at little boys and opening my heart to that possibility. I am an only child and close to mum, and I think subconsciously had always imagined myself with a daughter of my own. I think in the end after all our struggles, a healthy baby will be a delight either way, but I can relate to having had that inbuilt preference (which I usually don't admit either)

grub- hope you are still on a high after the scan...but the weather sounds awful and like you had a rough night :-( I hope the weather doesnt get too severe

Lairdoz: Huge Congrats on the arrival of Thomas. Wow you had a boy who wasn't hanging around in there once he decided it was time to leave. Good to here everything is going well and that your DD is adapting to the change as well.

MH: Great news about your scan and isn't it a relief to have an explanation to why the bleed occurred. Hopefully you have no more and your little peanut just keeps getting bigger and stronger everyday.

BDT: Just you wait until you have a big belly again and you will have 2 to run around after, and if you do end up with identical twins this time around you will definately deserve the title of "WONDER MUM" as I'm struggling to get my head around going from 1 kid to 3.

Wow it is getting scary now as we have had a few babies born which means I've moved up the list considerably. I suppose not having any babies due in April makes the list look so much shorter...

Ob appt yesterday was good, I was only there for 10 minutes and my Ob is not concerned about the pains from the weekend. He said he would rather have "unexplained" pains than known ones, as known ones mean something is really happening. I just need to take it easier but I must admit after my appt yesterday and then doing a small grocery shop (all while the grandparents had Tara) I came home and by 7.30pm I had to go to bed to put my feet up. At my appt yesterday I am now measuring at 36cm, so the gap has closed a little bit but I'm still about 11 weeks bigger than my dates and it's not surprising seeing as at last Thursday when I had my growth scan the twins were weighing in at 1lb 11oz & 1lb 10oz. So this explains why I'm so big as the babies are growing great guns and it will be very interesting to see how big they grow between now and the next scan on the 10th March. So my next Ob appt is in 4 weeks and from then on it will become more frequent plus I also had to pay my BIG bill yesterday as well as I'm almost 26 weeks, bugger Medicare and the rebate change I think I only will get about $400 back from a $4000 Ob bill. Luckily we will get 2 baby bonuses to help pay back that bill.

Congratulations also to the new BFPs on the thread! It feels so unreal at first and then suddenly you're going home with a baby..... and it still feels unreal!!

I am so sick I am dying here. I can't work, I can't get out too much. The acupressure wrist bands made my hands hurt, so I had to stop using them.

I want to be put out of my misery!!! I don't know if it's the Crinone I still have to take as my Progesterone is so low, or if it's the hormones, the HCG, the Placenta......but whatever it is I want it to STOOOOOOOOOOP.

I carry a bucket around the house with me. The humidity on the Gold Coast makes the nausea worse, I actually dry wretch when I step out into it!!!

I can't even stand up to make myself lunch to eat at the moment.

Does anyone have any tips or ideas for me? I'm going to my GP tomorrow to get my OB referral and I'm going to ask him if there is anything I can safely take to help the nausea. I can't do this for the whole pregnancy. It's too much........................ugg! Dying here!!!!

mindhugs- sorry to hear you are so sick, sounds awful, my closest friend was the same and she found it really tough. I am not sure what advice to offer though, other than all the normal remedies (eating plain things often, peppermint or ginger etc)

kelly- glad appt went well and things are on track, and that you can rest a bit more

afm- just back from our scan...all was perfect...measuring spot on for dates, heart rate 170bpm and low down syndrome risk :dance: hooray! what a relief. Our baby was still and not in a great position, so the sonographer gave it a bit of a prod, and then it wriggled all over the place...so great to watch :D

That is so wonderful Possums, congratulations!!! So glad to hear all is well.

MH I hope the GP can give you something, from what I remember mine settled down around 16 weeks, I hope so for you too.

just my theory. So wonderful possums! do you feel a sense of relief?? I completely didn't! Didn't til 20 weeks scan then let myself believe, a little - both times. wait til you get movement, that's when i started to feel more confident.

MH - i really feel for you. I was terribly sick wiht this one for the first 16 weeks. But the days i felt good, I totally freaked out with "omg, what's happened" iykwim. Blackmore's Morn Sick tablets are really really good... i found.

BDT - i could have written that post about you can't believe you were one of those lucky ones for which it worked first go! but i suppose our bodies just remembered! I think its because with IVF we get used to being told our bodies don't work the way they are meant to and only medication intervention will help..... and now our bodies are doing exactly what they are supposed to and we can't believe it! We have to learn to trust our bodies and our instincts as women, more. oh what a terribly worded sentence.

kelly - lol are you and DH tall people??? i really feel for you but you've gotta be so happy that you are such a good baby grower! Do you feel ganged up on with all the "rest up woman or else" comments lol... it's the love Kelly, the love ox

well better go, weather has really deterirated and looks like its going to stay that way for awhile. just hope we don't lose power for days ggrrr wouldn't surprise me tho. off to fill bath tubs and boil water for bub bub

Grub- yes relief, but still not totally relaxed. Other people dont get that. They are like "oh well, all will be fine now"...and probably it will be, but I still have antiphospholipid syndrome and graves disease and am jabbing my belly every day with clexane, so I don't think total relaxation is an easy state for me to achieve! lol...but DH and I do certainly feel a whole lot better. We both said we felt a bit numb to be honest.

BabyDT - I know what you mean - this was the first cycle since DS and we had no expectation whatsoever that it would work. So yeah we are still pinching ourselves and thinking surely it can't be this easy? Jeeese the things IVF do to us.

Possums - Yay!!! Awesome news. I know what you mean about still not relaxing. Do you know I am 18+ weeks and we STILL haven't told anyone besides my parents and sis. have been avoiding everyone else as we are not telling anyone until after next week's scan. And even then I would rather keep it to ourselves until bub safely in our arms!!

MH - sorry to hear about your MS. I had bugger all (only chucked once) so I'm not really qualified to answer but I do hope your GP or OB has something up their sleeve..

Grub - ah you crack me up luv, I love your posts. We'll hold you to those predictions and if you're right you can set up shop somewhere in the forum and hire out your services. I hope the cyclone isn't too bad. I'll stop complaining about our 36 degree and mega humid as it pales against a cyclone!

Just had morning tea with one of my besties and her adorable 5 month old DD. They are off to the states next week for FIVE MONTHS and I am very bummed. She gets back right as I am due - lucky girl she gets to miss all of my wombling and whinging and arrive for the newborn cuddles!

Hi ladies sorry for not really posting, to be honest i dont feel like i really belong any where at the moment :( im not trying to concieve, im pregnant but scared of loosing it that i dont want to commit to the thread, i am trying to stay as positive as possible but i wish the 7 week scan would hurry up to confirm everything. Iv had some little pinching feelings around my ovaries (not pain) but im worried its ectopic, has anyone had one of these and can explain what it felt like?

Aw Oneday luv that's ok take your time and we're here when you're ready. We have all been through the exact same feelings and are here to help.

As for the ovaries you got pregnant on a stim cycle? It's most likely you're ovaries are still inflamed from the stim and the pregnancy keeps your ovaries working so they are hurting. Very normal, in fact when I went for my 12 week scan with DS the US lady said "this was a stim cycle wasn't it?' because she could see my ovaries were still swollen. I haven't had an ectopic fortunately so I can't say what it feels like but I promise you at the same point as you for both pregnancies I was interpreting every little twinge as potential ectopic.

oneday. ... what bug's mum said... except mine were still swollen and very sore at 20 weeks still and beyond. they eventually went down. i'm not sure if that's teh same sort of pain as you are getting iykwim.
I always got lots of weirdo pain 'down there' including some ligament stretching that nearly had me on the floor because of the suddeness and sharpness. :)

(((((Hugs))))) Oneday. My overies were a nightmare for about the first half of my pregnancy. They just stayed swollen and sore from the IVF. Where as on cycles where i got BFN's they went down after my first period. It must be the Hormones.

oneday, my ovaries have been sore too, and have just started to settle down. I have had an ectopic and had sharp cramping pain on one side, and as it progressed the pain become very severe. It was different to ovary pain. I also had pain in my low back and pain when going to the toilet. Also my HCG levels rose very slowly and i had brown spotting. we all knowhow you feel, it's so hard to trust in things, especially at the start. hang in there...and hopefully your scan will show all is going just fine. in the meantime we are here when you are ready to chat more

Thanks so much ladies that makes me feel so much better :) i thought it could be that but of course i always think of the worst, i thinking in a way its self preservation for me, im so scared of getting my hopes up and all excited for it all to come crashing back down again so i tell my self reasons why this might not happen (you ladies would know just how i feel most prob). Mindhugs, that nausea sounds severe and of course humidity would make it worse. I hope it eases soon. I found eating constantly helped (refined carbs, of course), and not becoming too tired.

Oneday, just wishing for you that time speeds by until your scan. Early in my pregnancy, I had left-side ovary pain and lots of brown bleeding and definitely thought it was ectopic. I guess, there's a lot of info online to torture you. I would just create a small space each day when you practise relaxation, and if you worry the rest of the time, fine, that's how it's going to be for now. It will change.

Sorry for no more persies (it's the hands: my fingers feel like frankfurters boiling in a pot of water, about to split!).

AFM, I am 10 days past my due date and will be induced, like it or not, on Monday. Thank God, baby is still thriving and I don't have any problems (well ... emotional, as always, and very sore legs/hands). So, I've had acupuncture induction which was half an hour of pain (produces pretty decent contractions, but sadly these faded pretty quickly). I have another session booked for tomorrow - cannot wait!! In case it's not obvious, I have become pretty down. I don't really feel like leaving the house. I feel like my body has failed (again). My brother and SIL, my DH's SIL and my German host sister have all delivered (on time) in the last 2 weeks. I know it's crazy, but I feel like something is going to go wrong now, and I won't get a baby after all. The last 2 weeks feel like a microcosm of the whole IVF/infertility years. Also, I am absolutely sick with fear about having to start labour on a drip with a monitor in a hospital. IVF didn't work for me. What worked was rejecting what my doctors told me and demanding a lap for endo, having that endo removed and becoming pregnant through sex about a month later. I just have no faith in doctors, and a lot of hostility towards them, to be honest.
Anyway ... I know that I'm all out of what with perspective and so forth. I am SO luck to be having this chance to have a baby. But you know, even at nearly 42 weeks pregnant, I still think of it as "a chance". I see the baby's feet poking out at my ribs, and I still think that nothing is guaranteed.

Also, for the record, this particular web site (Belly Belly) makes induction sound criminal if you do it by choice and downright dangerous in any case. It's incredibly unhelpful and stress-provoking for mothers who are being told that they have no other choice. It makes me really mad, so I guess I should write to the web people.

Aww WW im so sorry you are feeling down.
I will be getting induced early due to my GD, i have avoided the induction threads for that very reason you mention. I just dont want for care for an opinion on the matter. I'll do what needs to be done.

WW you poor thing - I second Jaki, you just have to do what needs to be done. I had a c-section at 40 weeks because DS was extremely high, posterior and had made no attempt to engage. My OB told me even if I did go into labour naturally (which he didnt think I would) I had a 50% chance of running into trouble and needing an emergency c-section. So we (after much soul searching and stress) decided to have an elective. With this bub I was also be having an elective. No VBAC for me as I dont feel the risk is worth my bub's life. Some people on these here interwebs would think I was terrible, or at least a fool, but I simply don't care. I will do the right thing by my child and believe that parenting is all about what you do from the moment they are here, not what you do to get them out.

I know, the last few weeks are hell waiting for your bub to come, please try to relax and enjoy what you can and SLEEP while you can and know that your little miracle will be here before you know it.

WW - thinking of you. I don't trust doctors much either. I feel as though my 1st IVF Dr was after my money as he missed so many key & obvious things about me that I miscarried 2 bubs when maybe I didn't need to at all. I say always go with your gut.

OneDay - welcome & I also concur with the girls. I am 13 weeks long now and I have had one sided pain and the odd two sided pain on and off for most of this pregnancy, which sounds terribly like Ectopic - but it's not.

AFM - Apparently nausea is down to low progesterone (and subsequently Estrogen dominance). So the sicker you are the lower your progesterone is. I know mine is real low as I've been getting it monitored. Also because I have Endo, this means low progesterone is present. So right now my progesterone is at 60. I'm using the Crinone every 2nd day still, and hoping that my Progesterone levels rise enough that I can stop using it. Anyway, as I said I have an appt with my Dr today and will ask for something to assist the nausea. Today is a slightly better day.............

oh ww i can really feel your pain in that post. i know what you are feeling, especially at that stage when it feels like it's never going to end and you're not going to get your prize.

But have faith, your body does not what it's doing... look it grew that baby!!! I was also told i'd be induced with DS on a Monday... I was told on the thursday before hand woke up at 1.30am the friday in labour. I didn't have any 'signs' or prelabour or anything nor did my waters break. I felt all fat and uncomfy and just 'normal' when going to bed... and then a few hours later it was fully established labour.. .and just 7 hrs after htat Ashton arrived! So it really turns on a dime.

Mind you i think the fact that two cocharoaches and then a spider tried to murder me in the bathroom just before bed time helped ... i hate creepy crawlies and got the fright of my life.

I hope things get moving on their own before you get induced. I think so long as you are empowered with knowledge and understand what's happening and why, you and your docs will make the right decisions for you and your bub. Just remember this is about you and your baby - not other's expectations; a 'right way' or 'wrong way'; or doctors' schedules, so just try to focus on that if you can. and i don't think anyone else's birth decisions are open for debate, whether or not they are the ones I'd choose for me. We all do the best we can and the best for our child.

I'm not sure if any of that helps. i really really dreaded the thought of induction as well, more cos i was despereate for my body to "work" and to have the empowerment of having my baby myself without having to resort to medical help iykwim not cos i'm for or against induction...

LOL I had to giggle at your description of your carpal tunnel hands... one of my friends at school used to refer to his chubby fingers as "cherio (baby frankfurts) fingers".

mindhugs- glad today is a slightly better day for you...interesting about the effect of the different hormones...my progesterone has been very high, and i have had no vomitting, just all day feeling queasy, which has now pretty much passed (I still cant eat certain things). I hope it eases for you soon

afm- we are still so relieved and happy after our scan yesterday :-) it's so surreal and amazing to know what is going on in there!...but of course, we are still cautious. to be honest, it actually bugs me when I get comments from people who know, like "oh well you can relax now, all will be fine"... because I am high risk, they dont know that all will be fine, I personally think it is reasonable for me to have some level of caution and extra concern and it makes me feel like I am somehow being a drama queen for not being more relaxed about it all. One lady said "you can start decorating the nursery now"...well no, I am certainly not ready for that. I ended up telling her quietly how we were still being cautious due to my risks etc. then i felt maybe I had said too much. anyway! thats just my little vent today. pf course DH and I are thinking positive and trying to be in the moment, but still.

possums - DH and I have a little joke when one annoys the another... we say "shud upa ya face" like that silly song (i know we are so nice to each other lol)! don't you just wish you could say that to some people then walk away! lol.

Possums - people say stuff that seems perfectly ok to them. I am like you, still high risk. I read in another thread today of someone who unfortunately miscarried their baby at 13 weeks 4 days and she suffered from very low progesterone. So that kind of freaked me out, but a reminder that just because I'm over 12 weeks doesn't mean we are out of the woods yet. I am gonna stay on the disgusting Crinone until 14 weeks at least and check with the Dr again then.

My MIL keeps saying (already...) "You won't know what hit you when this baby comes you know, it's not easy". Oh really? What a surprise to know that. I actually thought it was a breeze raising a child, you know like we won't even really notice any difference to our routine or anything......... Geez I'm gonna welcome the hard work it takes particularly after 4 years of trying, 4 miscarriages, all the laparoscopy's, IVF cycles, emotional rollercoasters etc.

People say the darndest things! I can't wait for ALL the advice people are going to inflict on me about how to be a mum. Ha ha ha - I hope that doesn't sound sinister, it's not meant to be,more sarcastic :)

Just a quickie from me.... I'm into double digits.. 99 days until my due date today (although I really only have 89 days until my c/s) but now I'm on the downward side of things and very soon I'll be in the 3rd trimester. Where did that time go???

mindhugs- i know what you mean! :-) And i also realise people say things they think are positive, sometimes I just feel defensive and things niggle. gotta learn to roll with it, lol

grub- i love the joke you and your DH share...i find if you can tease each other in an argument it always breaks the tension :-)
