Hi ladies I am not sure if I even belong in this thread! it took me over 2 years and 2 losses and a specialist and a lot of tests to get my son and using no protection since his birth in 2009 but not actively trying we have gotten amazingly pregnant after another 18 months, does that mean I still "qualify" for this thread? I do miss it so much and even shared this thread last time with a few ladies who are back again too! I am just not feeling like I am clicking in my belly buddies group this time and feel like I need some thread to be in on! sorry if I don't belong here though.

JBM - sounds like you're working on making a footy team there! Congrats on the boy Sounds like we'll be neck and neck for the finish - my girl's been consistently a few days behind in measurements, and I have a family history of being about 2 weeks late - I'm due on the 21st, but I doubt she'll be here before the 28th - possibly I'll make it into next year!

Hi mhb - welcome and congratulations

me.him.bub: welcome. of course you belong here i would say 18 months is a long time to get preggers and this is pregnant after long term trying to conceive. come and join us and a big congrats to you on your BFP. yipee. good luck to you.

kass: yeah a footy team. eek. bit scary.. as for being early or late, i was conviced i was going to go over with DS 1 and thought it would be at least 2 weeks after due date but he came 3 weeks before EDD, so it was 5 weeks earlier than expected. hope this is the case for you otherwise we could be in hospital together ?. when i had DS 3 a lady at pregnastics was due a week before me exactly, i used to ask her how far along she was so i could remember how far i was ( preggy brain + 2 little kids do that to you) and anyway i had my baby 5 days before her. i was leaving the maternity ward as she was coming in. lol. so who knows when babies come but it is likely that it'll be early taking the other pregnancies into consideration. hope you are going well.

    hi everyone else.

it has gone a bit quiet in here or is it just me. i am feeling very fat today :-(. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

    Hi Ladies,

CONGRATULATIONS POSSUMS!!! You have so many people on the BA thread wishing you well - just goes to show how many people you have touched with your long TTC journey. I got tears in my eyes hearing that it all ended well (well, you know, with a healthy baby!). Hope you stick around, when you can find the time, to share your parenting stories now too.

AFM - I also had my baby boy on Monday night. So, after they told me I was 3cm dilated on Monday, I had aches all day and then realised I was actually in labour at about 7pm. Things progressed really really quickly and I got to hospital with only 2 contractions to spare before pushing out my gorgeous bub - Angus William. He is perfect (though, they all are aren't they). I am so so so in love with my lovely little family. xo

Kaybee- congratulations!!! I remember when you got pregnant! Seems like only a few months ago . Well done on a quick labour and the birth of your beautiful boy xxx

JBM- congrats on another boy- you must be good at making fantastic ones! I hope he doesn't come on xmas day though, that would be a bit inconvenient lol.

kass- are you having a girl? Thats so cute xx

me+him+bub- sounds like you are in exactly the right place here, so welcome! COngrats on getting pregnant!

oneday- I knew you would be excited to see me! Glad I can be in here to see your journey. I'm not stressing about no symptoms, I KNOW this baby is going to make it xx

Dreamrise-I hope you're not in labour at your interview! That would not be good. Don't stress about antenatal classes, they often aren't all they are cracked up to be ( I'm a midwife) unless you get a really good educator.

    Hi Kaybee,

Congratulations. So gald to hear everything went well and you did make it to hospital in time (just by the skin of your teeth by the sounds of it). My ex also only just made it to hospital in time when she had her son. When we rang the hospital when she was in labour they told us to ring back in an hour (but he was actually born only about and hour and a half after this so if we had done what they said he would have been born at home or on the way there (since the hospital is atleast 30mins drive from my farm - in good traffic). As it was he was crowning when I got into the room after dropping her off at the main entrance and parking the car.

Though I have to say I do think quick labours are much easier than long dragged out labours. At my last midwife appointment my student midwife (who is doing a "follow-thru" with me) had one of her other follow-thrus up in the labour ward in labour but she had already been there for 12 hours and apparently nothing much was happening. I would hate that.

I am so so so in love with my lovely little family. xo

hi ladies!! well, as you know our precious Aidan James arrived on Monday.... I was in labour all day, but in the end we needed an emergency c-section as he wasn't handling the contractions well and was in distress....in the end, a healthy, tiny, boy in our arms :-) We are so in love with him, it's hard to describe that initial surge of emotion when I first saw him. He's been in the special care nursery all week, but last night got to come into my room...and his feeding tube is out and he is now breastfeeding all the time which is great progress! He needs a bit more treatment for jaundice though, so will be in the nursery for a bit longer yet.

and while I am here, congratulations Kaybee!! so happy for you xx

Kaybee - Hooray for Angus!! Another boy. Blue Blue Blue!!! How nice that he came quickly and by the sounds of it quite effortlessly. A dream labor. Just gorgeous to hear all these positive stories. Enjoy and take care xxxx

mindhugs: hi how are you going?, not long to go now. counting down the days. good luck to you

Possums: welcome back. yipee for the safe arrival of your precious little boy. it's so good that he is breast feeding well, this can be hard in the beginning so don't give up. our first had a little jaundice but not enought o go under the lights. we used to let him have just nappy time inside in the suns rays and he was fine in less than a week. i hope everything keeps going well. as for those emotions, yes they're hard to describe. i am so so excited for you. this has been such a long journey. sending you and Aidan a big hug. x o x odreamrise: yeah for those quick labours. much better than slow ones. i had all quick ones too. good luck to you, not long to go now.

kaybee: yipee for you. wow what a busy week in here for us, 2 baby boys. yeah and hooray to you. so glad it all went well and quickly. big hugs to you and babyAngus. x x o o

kass: hi to you, anything new. are you starting to show anything yet ?. it's so not fair as i am looking huge. or i feel it anyway. most of my friends can tell but strangers just think i'm FAT. lol. hope all is well.

saffy: yeah i don't want baby to be born on christmas day, that'd be so not nice. a week before hand thanks, i'll put in a request upstairs. lol. maybe someone will listen. all boys were early so it is likely to be early. fingers crossed. hope all is oging well for you, those early days can be a bit scary. good luck to you

me him and bub: thanks for popping in. hope you're going well.

AFM: well i have another doc app this morn for test results from last week. urine, etc. they are also getting me into see another doc at antenatal one who isn't a size "zero"and just out of medical school so they can say i'm not too fat to go to birth centre. lol
everyone i have spoken to about including the docs and midwives say will have no probs. yipee and since i have lost weight ( 1 kg) maybe this may help. i am also going to take off my shoes and jacket just to help a little. ha ha ha
i am still getting used to the idea of another boy but i am so so glad all is well with baby. i had my DS 3 come into bed this morning and give me a big cuddle and i love them all so much. i can't believe how much i love my kids. and how exciting it is to be feeling lots more kicks and movement now. yipee for that.

    Hi everyone
JBM - good luck with the dr - hope they'll sign you off for the birth centre - sounds promising! Not much new for me, still not showing or feeling anything - wish I was! Actually, when i look down I think I look a little larger, but when I look in the mirror, not so much? Anyway...

Mindhugs - wow you're getting close! Hope you're feeling organised and can having a relaxing few days before bubs arrives

Saffy and Yogi - I hope you're both going well - I know I felt like the days were really dragging from test to test for the first few weeks. So happy for you both!

mhb - Are you tempted to find out? I was so impatient to find out with this one

afm - Have my first class on Wednesday and I'm thinking I'll have to cancel, I've been working on a cold all weekend and it doesn't want to end - not sure the other pg ladies would appreciate me being there coughing and sniffling! Oh well, couch day today.

KASS - no I don't want to know what I am having as this is our last child and we found out last time plus I think I will be a bit sad if I knew it was another boy but once it is in my arms it won't matter!

Welcome me, him and bub!!! and congrats xx

Ladies do you think its silly to be bothered by my midwifes appointments? I dont go back till 34 weeks, 36, 39 and 40. I guess they know what they are doing but just thought i should be going atleast once every 2 weeks. Is this what you ladies did?
