Oh ladies hello and thank you for thinking of me! Just a quick post, won't do persies this time, too much to catch up on but I will say a big to Emerald!
No I haven't fallen off the face of the planet. I was very touched to read your posts. Still without a computer and I find it hard to post on my phone but never mind. Sunday was also our first wedding anniversary and we decided to getaway for a few days, which was lovely.
On the belly front, just got back from the Ob. I'm really swollen, my BP is up and slight protein in my urine so on rest orders now have to have some BTs tomorrow & get my BP checked every few days & on weekly Ob appts from here on in. PrYing it doesn't get too bad as I really don't want to end up in hospy.
Anyway enough whining, hope you're having a good week and look forward to reading your posts again!
BOC - you must follow orders and rest. This happened to me and three days later I was induced because even though I was in hospital and resting as soon as I did anything my blood pressure went back up. Although I was 36 weeks so a bit further along than you are now. I have my fingers crossed for you.
I cant remember who was talking about it but the elivit, I am still taking it as I am breast feeding and took it the whole way through. Have been taking it for years now as have taken it whilst TTC. It also has a little bit of iron in it and I have needed extra iron for the last 15weeks and after the blood transfussion I still need more. Would hate to think how I would eel if I didnt take it. Really it is just a multi vitamin for women.
Sorry ment to say before I dont know how to put the facebook link in but if you add me as a friend you can see some photos of baby Xavier and a few of Campbell.
On a random but tangential subject to the elevit... I once saw a very convincing presentation on the rise of asthma, but this is a UK thing. You can track new homes and asthma increases really well. What basically happened is that we used to have cold, dry, draughty homes with rubbish windows. Now we have proper windows and blocked up chimneys and better heating and had warm damp houses as they aren't circulating air anymore, and this causes the massive rise in childhood asthma apparently. Not sure how that applies to Australia, but I suspect re-circulating air con is a culprit too.
I too am still taking elevit, but more for the vitamins than the folic acid. Being veg, thought I'd better cover my bases!
just had an email from my hospital dietician spookily who has told me to take the elevit all the way through to breast feeding, so I think we're all ok!
Thanks for the tip about Elevit from your dietician londonmiss, what good timing!
Glad to see you're okay boc though still without a computer - I share your pain. As much as I love my iPhone it's just not the same. And I hope you're resting up well and following doctors orders.
For those with scans soon, I discovered if I held the ultrasound films up to my white computer screen the light and brightness made it very easy to see the images!! DH thought I was a little nuts but it did the trick
AFM - home today with a headache. Think really I just needed a lazy day as I've slept most of the day. Am now lying on the couch reading my "Shopping for Baby" magazine for the zillionth time, I love it!
