Hello ladies. 2010 is proving quite busy....!

Just in case I'm not the only one suffering from Mos bites, here's the response I had to the question I sent to the pharmacist who deals with such questions from neurotic mothers to be!! Hope it helps

"Insect repellent is not usually recommended to be applied to large areas of the body. Apply to small areas only and cover up with light coloured long-sleeved clothing to prevent mosquito bites. Alternatively clothes could be sprayed with the insect repellent.
For bites, you could use hydrocortisone cream (eg Dermaid) to help reduce itch and swelling, or for an antiseptic you could use Savlon antiseptic. One of the ingredients in SOOV bite I am unable to find safety information on, it is unlikely to be a problem, but the ingredients in Savlon are safe.

I am unable to find information regarding safety data of Pawpaw ointment, it is unlikely to be of concern however. It may be used.

For a tip on what to put on mozzie bites - Try vicks vaporub.. it's awsome... Works pretty much on all types of bites too, like ant bites or midgies... Sorry no tips on repellants... HTH..

Hi Girls.I have been so annoyed the past 2 days.My lovely big belly deflated after i went to the toilet sorry (TMI) and now im not so big.I never thought constipation could have caused so much bloating!! I even cried yesterday saying to my mum "There's probably no baby there!! Im so flat now and i want my belly back". (I know, what a sook i am)
This paranoia is driving me up the driveway to a nut house!!
Im at that stage where symptoms are only, frequent weeing, weird dreams, sore nipples and not feeling movements yet.( I thought i did last week but that must have been wind)
I dont get another scan til 19 weeks and i cant stand it!!
Mum understands my paranoia as with all i have been through to get here but DH thinks im being silly. He says "You have 3 scan photos showing us a healthy baby...what more do you want?" I could strangle him for his insensitiveness. (He hates it when i cry,he gets quite annoyed) PLUS they both say i clearly look pregnant, but i think my tummy has always looked chubby to the rest of my 47KG frame.

My question is did anyone else feel this way until they were comforted by movements.?

yes me! Look a few pages ago, I got lots of good advice, and it really helped. Dare I say it, your DH is right. You are pregnant in the absence of information saying otherwise! If nothing is going wrong, you'll just be growing away quietly. Distract yourself with other stuff. I've been working out when 150 days is, 125, 100 and so on.

aww my pooor sweet heart, what you are feeling is very normal TRUST ME I KNOW i was just the same and always worried about my belly size and i to am only a tiny girl.i think its taken us sooooooo long to get here we just never relax until we see thoses beautiful babies in our arms,i worried every bloody day and cried most of them to just from worry, though it helps that your mum is there for you what a good mum.so in my opinion you are not being silly at all and i truely hope you feel better soon and your next scan is an awsom one,im here holding your hand always ok take care sweet girl love smithy xoxo
