Oh no BOC that sounds painful! I hope you and hospital stay away from each other for while...

BDT - thanks for the BF update. I don't suppose I'd really put alot of thought into tandem breastfeeding but it must be one heck of a co-ordination challenge! Do they wake up at the same time, or do you wake the other one up if the first one is up if you see what I mean?

Lise/ Mitf - Little Miss isn't co-operating with kicks for DH yet They are still a bit faint and hidden up my big layer of fat... I can't wait for that feeling although if DH mentions Alien, he might end up in the front room!!

I'm dead happy today, an old friend in Melbourne who I'd slightly lost touch with when she moved house has texted me to say she's 19 weeks, and it's so nice to have a belly buddy rather than bore workmates/ DH/ everyone else with all the details. Hopefully seeing her this week for belly comparison and pizza eating (hurrah).

Hello everyone and belly rubs to all. Hope you all had a nice weekend.

Oops - hello Miss K. For some reason, BB told me you'd replied to me, despite you writing 2 hours ago. I apologise - many many congratulations and welcome to the thread. I hope you have a happy and healthy pregnancy

    Hello Ladies,

Just wanting to let you all know that i had my u/s today and we saw a sac!! Alot of my anxiety has now been lifted..i have another u/s next week to check for a heartbeat and thne i will feel alot more comfortable joing in your conversations about nappies, baby bottles and teats, baby names etc!! Its just so hard trying to fit in when you still have the uncertainty that this pregnancy IS a real pregnancy! I am actually 5 weeks and 5 days pregnant... Thankyou all for your support!

Emerald Star - that's fabulous news. As you can tell from this response, I am not sleeping at all well. I have stomach pain, well more of an ache under my belly button than a pain everytime I lay down, sitting up is the only comfy position. Surely this is not it for the next 20 weeks? I'm driving DH bonkers... not to mention myself.

    Hi ladies,

I wrote a lovely long post yesterday (on my phone nonetheless!) and then it didn't work so I was too cross to try again. Had a break and am now at work so will try again...

Welcome to the thread Miss K and a big congratulations to you and DH!!!! Wishing you a very happy and healthy 9 months. It feels a bit surreal (I think) to post on here after TTC but everyone here is so very friendly, you'll be feeling right at home.

Emerald Star - great news on the sac and hoping at your next scan you can see the heart beat xx

BOC - sounds like you're in the wars at the moment, I hope you're staying put on the couch or in bed for a bit to stay out of trouble!

Londonmiss - glad you've got a friend to talk shop with and do some baby shopping - especially if DH is still a little reluctant to go shopping with you! My DH complains all the time about baby shopping, yet when we walked into Pumpkin Patch the other day he's the one who wanted to buy things

AFM - not much really to report. Our new cleaner started yesterday and it was so lovely to go home to a clean house that I didn't have to clean! Otherwise, i've started to get an itchy tummy, I know some of you have had this before - how did you treat it??

Hello to everyone else, hope you're all well and belly rubs to all xx

Forgot to ask about sheets - we bought some sheet sets on the weekend but how many do you really need for a newborn??? I'm not sure how many i'm realistically likely to go through... any advice much appreciated!

    Hello Everyone!!

I have the save our sleep book... I havnt really had a look at it yet but I certainly will keep that advice in mind if bubs no.2 is a bit of a restless sleeper. DS certainly was hehe but we just dealt with it and he still has his bad nights at times LOL..

As for sheets... are you using a bassinet or a cot for the first few months? Personally I dnt think you can ever have enough because newborns are forever spewing.. pooping through the nappy (especially when breastfed) weeing etc etc etc.. so we found with DS that you really do go through quite a few clothes.. blankets.. sheets.. yadda yadda. and especially in those first few weeks it can be really tiring having your new one and the last thing you want is to be having to do 2 loads of washing every day on top of everything else just so that you have something for bubs to sleep on. so my advice would be as many as you can get your hands on depending on how often you do ur washing I guess.

Hope you are all doing well!! had our next hos appontment yesterday and were told from here on in we can basically start to relax.. The preg has become so low risk that she asked us if we would feel ok about participating in the student midwife program.. We're student midwives work with us but a fully qualified one sits in and supervises her We were so happy to hear that we are such low risk we'd be prefect for it that we said of course So from now on till the birth we'll be helping all the learner midwives get some experiance in!

yay just over 8 weeks left I am definately getting excited now!! talk to you all soon! Ky

Oh and Ive put up a lil album on FB with my us pics and belly shots if anyone is interested.. but they wnt be up for very long cuz i dnt like having to omany pics up on there.. similar reasons to smithy.. so lol just think of it like a clearance sale.. limited time only!!!
