    Successful Pregnancies after a Transfer.

    Hi,

I put this in the LTTC section but I think it might be better in here!

I have a curiousty question - for those of you who have had successful transfers which resulted in a pregnancy (day2 or Blasties either or) - how long after the actual tranfer did you start to feel symptoms if you had any?

    And what were they?

I had every symptom under the sun for the cycles where I WASN'T pg, but for the cycle where I was, the only symptom I had was bloatedness (to the point of extreme discomfort)

The progesterone pessaries also play tricks with you, as they cause many pg symptoms, such as sore boobs, cramping or nausea.

Good luck though Lucia. Are you feeling anything out of the ordinary?

Tiredness & bloating for me from around 5 days after transfer, we had a blastie transferred so that makes it roughly 10DPO.

    Good luck!!

    Thanks for answering.

No, no its not for me - a friend had her first FET transfer yesterday morning and last night she started to get pulling feelings in her belly, had an awkward sleep and now feels like she has her period or its coming. She said the transfer went smoothly - there was no discomfort or anything so she was asking me what I had experienced in the past and I wasn't sure if symptoms would occur that quickly after a transfer, it hasn't with me so thought I would get some others experiences. Would implanation happen that quickly?

(Oh I forgot to mention she is not on any meds and it was a Day 3 transfer - don't know how many cells the embie was though - I forgot to ask!)

I wonder if that was it? Would the cramping if it was that start straight away or take that long.

She didn't start the cramping til this morning - last night was apparently a pulling feeling.
(I don't think I will mention it to her though - she probably has enough going on in her head)

Is it possible to get cramping from the transfer itself? Would it take that long if it were?

    Hi Lucia
I had FET on Monday and I felt a pulling feeling as well - it has subsided today - I think it's just your body saying "WHAT NOW???" Fingers crossed for your friend AND me!!!

Thanx Dellydoo will pass on your wishes

And good luck to you too!!!!,

I spoke to her this morning and the cramping has settled down - apparently she cramped for two days but it stopped last night. Now she just has pulling feelings in her belly not all the time - it is only every so often and her back is sore.

So I guess it is just a wait and see - we all react differently don't we?

For me the major sign was the period like cramps (I didn't have them with the negative transfers!)

    Good Luck

I had cramping, but put it down to the Crinone, also had a metallic taste in my mouth about an hour after transfer and it just wouldn't go away.

Goodluck to your friend Lucia, hope she is celebrating some good news now

Unfortunatley not - she started to bleed today.

She started to get alot of symptoms by end of last week - metallic taste, boobs very sore and veiny and her belly was bloated but she said that the cramping got worse on Sunday and it all started to go away on Monday morning. Her boobs have been going back to normal since and then of course today she started to bleed.

Her BT isn't til next Tuesday and she spoke to the nurses and they told not to come in today and wait til Tuesday for her blood test so chances are she won't know what happened because that is five days away and any HCG will have gone by then won't it? They are going to put it as unsuccessful!
I was alittle shocked because they have always marched me in there same day for a blood test to see what's going on!
