I can't say I ever stopped worrying. It took me 14 years to birth my first bub. I didn't have a good track history & I was 41 so the odds were against me. My worries just kept changing.

I started to feel more confident at 18 weeks after we got the amnio results back, but still every little odd thing that occurred had me a little worried still.

When I got more advanced I worried I'd go into labour early. I didn't. Then when I got to about 36 weeks I worried I'd go over & the placenta would deteriorate. I went 1 week & 4 days early so I shouldn't have wasted my time worrying about it.

Even whilst giving birth I didn't feel confident that it would be a good result. I remember thinking that my baby must be dead during the labour because the midwives were having trouble finding his heartbeat - and then they would find it and relief would sweep over me.

My worries were for nothing. If I could do it over I'd worry about nothing & just enjoy every little thing.
