Firstly YAY Saffy happy for you and the great results
AFM - today went REALLY well. All organs working well and in the right place. Got a fright as the tech lady took a pic of the brain then said "hang on" and walked out of the room! GEEES!! HELLO!?! But I could hear her talking to someone saying saomthing about another patient but that patient was already having a pelvic exam done by someone else so she walked back and said "Ok lets have a look, ahhh great all looks good" PHEW!
Double confirmed today its a GIRL! Poor DH thought it was a boy as the umbilical chord was making baby look well undowed LMAO But 100% a girl
Very happy days with a little energetic one that moved around the WHOLE time and we got a shot of her with her arms up over her head as if she's doing ballet LMAO too cute
Yay Mia, wonderful news! It's great both you and dh know now
Joeve- u sneaky thing! Was stalking and soooo happy for u.
Saffy- good luck with the ob call, I hope she's just over cautious!
I'm in the ER with poor dp. He's had a severe headache and vomiting since Monday. They're onto the third drug for pain and nothing's working
Hi girls
mich- your poor dp, what so they think is wrong? Mine was down with gastro yesterday and I had to nurse him back to health. Hope he is ok soon, you must be stressed.
mia- thats fantastic news hun, lol at your dh trying to turn her into a boy!
hi everyone else xx
afm- was waiting for my obs to ring back with my combined screening results, its a reduced risk from age related risk of 1:60 , mine is 1:201 which makes me high risk still but I'm actually happy with that and as I won't have an amnio, my obs wants me to have a morphology scan at 15 wks which is fine with me,she said if that is normal it reduces your rate by another 50%.
So all in all not too bad, would love if it was in the low risk category but I kew it wouldn't be and I can live with 1:201.
Saffy- great news Hun! I think you'd be very unlucky with those odds to have anything wrong but fingers crossed! Yay, I'm so happy for you! Xx
DG- how r u going babe? Xx
Afm- well, bunko is fine (one of my BF txt me to ask me how 'bump' was and spellcheck changed it to bunko...I thought it was hilarious and have now named the baby bunko lol) I had a massive gush a couple of days ago and have been unable to rest as my 9mo has had pharangitis, laryngitis & an ear infection all at once! So I have been waking up every 2-15 mins EVERY night! But he's finally getting better now so I'm getting sttn now
So anyway, I was at the docs getting my 9mo checked put and told my doc about the gush I had. She ordered me up to the bed (interesting with the baby lol, I layed down with him sitting in between my legs with my legs wrapped around him lol) and she put the Doppler to my tummy and found the hb straight away! 163bpm
So bunko is still here, and I'm really hoping the bleeding goes away soon.
Hope everyone's going well xxxx
Thanks Saffy - I think DP just had the migraine from hell but he's home and doing much better now. I think that's really good news about the 1 in 201 risk and another scan at 15 weeks should confirm that everything's good. You might get to find out the sex early too if you're finding out My friend had a 1 in 300 risk at aged 31 and didn't want the amnio, but at the next scan, everything looked great!
Yas - I'm so glad "Bunko" is kicking on, phew! That gush must have been terrifying. Have you had a confirmed diagnosis of a SCH? I really hope that gush was the last of it clearing out if so, you need to be able to enjoy this pregnancy!
AFM-I'm seeing the ob tomorrow to get the proper report from the morphology scan!
Mich- we don't want to find out the sex but because I am a midwife and so far have had heaps ofscans, I'm scared I eventually will recognise something that will give it away! Its too small now of course but later down the track certain 'things 'become obvious! I'll ask the sonographers to tell me to look away at crucial times, hopefully that will work, but if I find out, I find out. I'm not good at keeping secrets though so doubt I could not say anthing to dh for that long!
Yas- bunko needs to settle down and stop wrecking havoc in your uterus! You have had enough stress!
I finally might have a belly- I had to put on a Belly belt to do up my skinny jeans today ,only on the first button but hey its a start!
Mich8 - Glad you DP is back home, I hope everything goes back to normal and feels better , I had a migraine on thursday tried to hold out but in the end had to take 1 panadol and tried to sleep it off. Thankfully it died away but still in the background hoping it doesnt re appear as I have avoided taking anything up until now (I know you can just dont want too uneccessarily). GL with your next OB appointment
Saffy - awesome results for your 15 wks morph scan but as they said chances are all will be good
Yas - glad bunko is doing well rest as much as possible
AFM - have my OB appointment Tues week but am feeling good so no anxious thoughts. Watched the Morph video last night with the grandparents for the first time. Everyone was happy and gushing LOL
Hoping everyones having a great weekend
Hi all, sorry I havent been posting because I was so depressed about being still so sick and I didnt want to bother all of you with it. Well Im 18w today and starting to feel better. I am getting my appetite back now and am throwing up much less. I finally feel like the fog is beginning to lift. I am getting plenty of movements and am looking very obviously pg now. My morph scan is at 20w and Im undecided about finding out the gender.
Hey DG - glad you are back and feeling a little better and hopefully MUCH better soon and even best of all you are feeling movements and its only 2 weeks away before your morph scan! YAY! Either way (as I see it) its a suprise either at the end or now so do what you feel re gender
DG - you're never a bother!! So glad you're feeling a bit better though, I hope things just keep getting better from here. Tough decision about the gender, did you find out the other times? It's totally up to you. I personally LOVED finding out. Even though I didn't mind at all either way, it just gave me such an adrenaline rush knowing and made me excited for weeks, even made me forget my negativity for a while, ha ha. I very much admire the patience of people who wait tho!!
Saffy - Ooh - I hope you don't catch a glimpse of any bits then! I guess if it happens at some stage, you could just keep it between you and DH Yay for a little belly too. I have a rather large belly now but still just look fat to people who don't know, boo hoo!!
Joeve- I'm so glad all seems to be going well
Mia - You're so good with the panadol, I have to take it all the time for my headaches. Glad you're all calm. I'm a lot calmer too but still haven't bought a single baby item. I think I have a mental block about it! I probably don't need to though with the amount my mum has bought already, ha ha.
I'm seeing the ob this afternoon. I've made it over 4 weeks between visits - record!! My heart did it's crazy palpitation thing yesterday but it's only happened twice in 4 weeks so that's nothing to worry about apparently.
Hi girls I have just been sent home from work afer a terrible scare.
I was standing at work when I felt a big gush of fluid between my legs, when i went to the toilet it looked like blood/ fluid but I had black undies on. I was really panicked, my boss put me in a bed and called the obs covering my dr, I was lying there thinking 100% I had ruptured my membranes and it was all over, i was petrified. The dr came and the stupid work U/S machine wouldn't work properly so he drove me to his rooms and did an u/s there, all looked ok and there was a good level of fluid around the baby, so he said it is v unlikely i had broke my waters, very releiving. So now I am on bed rest for a week and I'm not even sure if I'll go back to work, its just too much stress at the moment. I was lucky that the doctor knows me very well and left the hospital he was at to come and see me, as my obs is off today.
I really can't cope with the stress of this, I'm still not 100% convinced everything is ok as I'm still passing a bit of oldish blood.
Why can't anything be normal for me, its not fair! If I lose this baby the thought having to go through it all again is too much to bear.
Saffy thats terrifying. Rest rest rest! Pregnancy is a freaking roller coaster, but your baby is probably chilling out in there making cute baby toes with no idea about how scared they are making you!
Stop work whenever is right for you and deep breaths in the meantime. You can do this.
Saffy!! That sounds horrifying! You poor thing. So glad the hospital looked after you though and everything is still looking good. Rest, rest, rest - forget about that pesky work thing!
Bug hugs.
