Yas- great to see you around and at 27 weeks! Who would have thought? It's wonderful
Rach- sorry about the bp, must be scary but hopefully the meds will keep it under control from now on.
Saffy- just to make you feel better, I've just hit 23 kg in weight gain. It's distressing even typing that!
Well, there's been a change of plans. Looks like my Melbourne cup day baby might be a Halloween baby instead. I saw the ob last night and he was concerned about several things so has moved my c section to next wed! Meanwhile I have fetal monitoring every second day. The nurse today thought I had all the signs of preeclampsia. My 6.5kg weight gain in the last 3 weeks while on the very restrictive diabetes diet is also a bad sign. I'm waiting on blood and urine results but who knows- baby might be coming really soon if they're bad! Eeeeek!
Omg Mich!! It could be SO soon you're holding your little precious princess! Keep us updated. I know you must be feeling a mix of emotions, try to stay positive and know we're all here for you!!! How exciting, I hope everything goes well xo
Thanks for the support everyone xxx. Yep I'm having waves of excitement and worry. It changes every 10 minutes!
Saffy- yay for leave! What do you plan to do with yourself? Have you made a to do list or am I the only weird one who does that?
Rach- 30 weeks is a great milestone, you're nearly home
oh yeah I have lists all over the place- arrange health insurance, apply for PPL, decorate nursery, fill deep freeze with frozen casseroles etc, knit, xmas shopping, baby shopping, xmas baking, coffee dates, pedicures/massages, help my mum move my nanna into nursing home, get my large garden into shape, RELAX! etc
Ha ha Saffy, that list sounds exhausting! I ended up halving my to do list by deleting all undesirable items... Gardening, cleaning windows etc. thanks for reminding about health insurance, I'd better get on that. Ugh and Christmas- lets call it off!!
Tell me about to do lists! I finished up work about 2 weeks ago and got through the "main" things on my list eg pre purchasing gifts for nieces bday, nursery, essential cleaning thanks to my parents who came round and helped me as DH is working hard atm he could only do a few things to help. Anyways now I'm slowing it down, we ALL deserve so R&R now!
Saffy try to do the "essentials" only and leave the rest you need to enjoy this time and have as much rest as possible Thanks for the remind on the health insurance I should get onto that too!
Mich - its SO exciting, I wish I knew when this little bundle would come but I'm just a ticking time bomb now! LOL We're hoping she comes a week early (7th of Nov) cos thats our wedding anniversary but who knows!
AFM - Does anyone know how you apply/get the baby bonus, is it after the baby is born you go and apply?
My feet are like elephants, they're not TOO bad today but yesterday with the 30 degrees even though I'm inside the house they blew up. I have low bp so the OB always says that its not a prob but I might show him next time I go cos they've gotten worse. I can barely fit into my thongs now!
Have my hosp bags sort of done, has anyone else found it hard to fit everything into a small bag? I have a small one for the "birth" and then a cabin sized bag for all the other stuff the hospital wants me to bring. The things that take most room are all the packets of Mat pads and breast pads etc!
Anyways hope you're all doing well
