    Hi Girls

Just needing a bit of assurance today. I am 5wks 5 days today I think. I was really good about being in denial but slowly the doubts are creeping back in. I think because now I have booked our 7 weeks scan and it seems more real. Our last scan was very traumatic as we had a missed m/c. So I am both dreading and looking forward to the scan. This stage is so hard, and I know you all know how I feel. Plus we decided not to tell anyone and my mum guessed on Friday morning. On the phone. She rang me to ask how the baby stuff was going and before I had a chance to say anything she said "your pg arn't you???" I know, I can tell, a mother knows these things. I was so stunned I didn't say anything and she kept firing things at me and eventually I caved. WTF!!! How freaky. She doesn't even live here in my town. I said to her it was meant to be a xmas surprise So now I feel like I have jinxed us. Silly I know and I am really trying to shake it off. I have had not bleeding, but I didn't have any last time and sometimes I think its worse as you go on your merry way. Will keep my chin up. Thanks girls xxx

Firstly, you haven't jinxed anything, i constantly thought the same, with different things but look at me now.
Secondly, I completely understand where you are with the scan. I had never had a good early scan until this pregnancy ( and I'd had a few) so there is no way of feeling confident about it, youjust have to go and do it. Alternatively, I think it was Joeve who didn't even have one at 7 weeks? It depends if you want to know the good or the bad news at seven weeks or prefer to live in ignorant bliss for longer. I bet time is ticking by very slowly for you! Theres no reason to think you haven't got a sticky bub on board, but Iknow when you have a m/c before nothing reassures you. Crossing all my fingers for you for your scan, and will send positive vibes .
Your mum is a classic- mother's intuition hey! Shame she ruined the surprise, is she going to keep quiet?, my mum is a blabbermouth so I struggled in the early days.
Also, i don't know if you have symptoms or not but at your stage I didn't have any yet so don't stress about that.
keep going Vic, we are all egging you on!

Vic hugs the mind makes you think crazy things. One you have had a mc it's hard to not think that you will keep having them. Hugs and lots of love for a big fat strong heartbeat next week x
Saffy I had a scan at 7 weeks as I just needed to know that there was a heartbeat, I can't remember who opted out of that one but I can completely understand why someone would.

I knew you would understand. Like i said I was doing really well until my mum found out. I am sure it will be fine. I have sore boobs so thats good. I am tempted to have a bt just to check numbers.

Joeve the scan is two weeks today. Another stoopid TWW lol.

Oh i thought it was you joeve, sorry, but I'm sure someone put off a scan for ages, don't blame them really.
If only we could all go into a coma for the first 12 weeks and then wake up and announce our pregnancies.

afm-I've got a scan in 1 hour to check growth and fluid levels, starting to feel a bit nervous myself, in case they say- 'something is wrong, you have to go to hopital right now'- as if, i know! at least i get to see bub again, hopefully get more photos. then i am going ot Obs to have an appt to discuss birth plans. Will probaby get a date for ceasing clexane and i really think my baby is still breech so will have to see what she says about that!

    hi everyone else

    Hey girls,
Vic and saffy, hope all goes well for your scans.
Vic, I also had bad news at my last scan before I m/c, so this scan was terrifying Saffy, I'm sure everything will be fine, you have come this far and you will make it all the way to the end, no problems
Joeve, thanks for your support lately, how are you?

I had a scan today and they saw a heartbeat!! It was tiny and she was a bit unsure, but then after more looking she confirmed it was a heartbeat. She said I had a very small hemorrhage in the sac and thats what was causing the bleeding. I am still spotting today, but it's only brown. Baby is measuring in at 6 weeks, I will book another scan for next week. This past 72 hours has been so traumatic. Off to update my other post

Thanks Vic, at first we thought it was a blood vessel as she said they can sometimes look like a heartbeat. But after a few more minutes she confirmed it
Going by ovulation I guessed I was about 6w or maybe 6w1 or 2d. But my hcg seems to be on the high end for 6 weeks. Yesterday it was 42,000, so today it would be more. Bit confused
