Hugs Dampyre. I hope you are wrong and it eases up soon.
13w3d today.
Im just plodding along... actually Im doing lots of complaining. Lol.
Feeling tired and cant keep anything down, even the hydralyte is no good now. Headaches all day everyday. Sore hips and back and still crampy - I suspect braxton hicks is the cause.
Struggling with DS. Struggling with providing my family food.
Hoping it will ease up soon otherwise I may have to take myself off to hospy for IV fluids. :(

I was actually considering the hospital two days ago. Was feeling really shakey from dehydration and like I was going to pass out. I suggest trying steamy showers, not too hot though cos then it dehydrates you but nice and steamy will help as your body absorbs fluid through the skin as well. I also do it in an attempt to actually drink water. The temperature of the water helps (I can only drink it that warm in the shower) as it digests quicker, plus when you throw up, there's no clean up and you can just keep drinking :) I swear that is the only reason I wasn't in hospital more often with DS2.
During a vomit, DS1 will bring me a glass of water and I start drinking that towards the end of my vomit and keep drinking until I stop spewing. It can make your spew bigger but it is worth it to get some hydration and also provides some lubricant for your poor throat. That has been helping me the last couple days.
Hope you can use some of that and that it will help :)

-
Everything is ok, Boo was happily playing away which was great to see.
OB said the cramps are normal especially since it's my 4th live baby pregnancy.
-
Glad bub is ok Cheshire.
Ive been a bit crampy, I think it might be braxton hicks already. Could that be it?
-
My Ob said it's unlikely to be BH this early but the crampy feeling is a lot like BH.
My cramping is really painful, i have backaches & intense pressure like everything is going to fall out & it's completely normal for me.
Such a relief & seeing Boo moving around & actually looking like a baby now makes it so much more real
-
It seems - from my googling - that anecdotally lots of people, particularly with subsequent pregnancies, report having braxton hicks from early on in thier pregnancies. It also seems that medical professionals dont seem to want to acknowledge it. A bit like early movements.
When I was about 14 weeks with DS I was told it was "impossible" that I was feeling him move. But it was definately him.
Im not really sure what there is to gain from them doing that. But they do.

Cheshire...im glad everything is OK!!!!

Hmm need suggestions just realised I haven't gone #2 in 4 or 5 days no wonder I'm not comfortable any suggestions sorry for lowering the tone of the thread.
-
Greenslw - yay for no more patches! Boo for no #2 in 4 or 5 days... You must be getting quite sore!! Are you drinking enough water? I find eating a nut combination (a small amount of walnuts, brazil nuts and some macadamia nuts), and eating an apple keep me quite regular. If I stray from this combination, I'm sure not to go to the loo for a bit and feel crampy. Are you doing a 12 week scan?
-
Thanks me4 I think my water could be more but it makes me feel ick so need to sip more. 12 week scan on 23/4 how bout you?
