Greenslw im glad ur scan went well. Sorry about ur boss. I was stressing about my job. Legally tho there's not a lot employeers can do. This is my third baby. Wk plcs need to be more accommodating as its a part of life
Lyra congrats
Damprye how are you?
Me4ever yeah I used to get that too but it was a bit later in my pregnancy
-
Me4- Some people do get leg cramps early on. I've been known to wake up screaming from them.
Melster- is the the wrap around one that valcros and sits bottom of tummy, the big tubal one that goes from under your bum to under your boobs or the other one? I hated my valcro but loved my tubal. I had to wear both boo
Sorry. I can't remember who else posted
AFM the BH have calmed down (started doing so last night) and the OB wasn't in yesterday so I didn't go. Stupid I know because I am supposed to get the AntiD but I didn't want to bother the hospital. I also have serious baby brain. Can no longer remember my pin number!
-
Melstar- you can have cough lollies.. I hope bub cooperates for gender scan.
I have some pains today but haven't had any all pregnancy so telling myself growing pains.
Dampre- the hospital wouldn't mind it's not like you are wasting their time! But waiting sucks.
-
Mel hope cold is short lived I had one early pg and when I spoke with the pharmacist they ad used no menthol. I had them with DS but was over 12 weeks. Not sure but melaleuca honey is awesome and works really well for a sore throat. And yes workplaces should be better but I fear they aren't :( wow one week to go how exciting
Damprye I'm sure you wouldn't bother the hosp. Hope you are ok
Duches I'm an achy pg lady so hope you're right.
Mother's Day tomorrow and all I want is sleep so DS and DF are going out for the morning yay what has everyone else got planned?
-
Spending my first Mother's Day with both my children for the first time. Last year was supposed to be the first but I was so sick and the kids were in department care :(
-
Damprye- enjoy your day. I've been there too two Octobers ago but they were just with my parents for three weeks.
Today I got Guitar Hero, flowers, chocolates and awesome school stuff for Mother's Day.
Considering sharing my baby news with Facebook today too
-
Dutchess- Funny you say that, I was considering doing the same thing lol. I'm still not facebook official ;-)
-
I took a photo of my girls with the magi doodle with the writing " we are going to be big sisters! Mummy is having a baby :)"
And uploaded it, amazing how more real it suddenly feels!!
It's funny watching the people who knew fake surprise :)
I also figured people who find Mother's Day and therefore pregnancy announcements hard would have prepped themselves for a tough day on Facebook today anyway. I've told my special LLLLL long term trying friends personally weeks ago.
-
Duchess you inspired me I sent pm to my close friends on Facebook and rang the rest. Not going public until I tell work but I agree feels real and great only one negative from a friends wife who is due just after me. But that's her issue.
DF cleaned the house! Amazing.
Damprye hope high tea was great
-
I hate those people who need to be the only ones with happy good news, expect everyone to be happy for them but can't return the love!
What was her issue anyway??
I got my long awaited positive the same day as a close friend got another negative and she was fine only because she knew how hard it had been but positively livid at her sister in law who fell pregnant easily....
I have allllllll positive comments on my Facebook I'm guessing they know that with my conditions it's a miracle and or they think I make cute kids lol.
-
She is just a pit of misery and the only shame is her dh is my friend from kids and lovely. Ahh her issue. Otherwise I'm floating on the clouds.
-
Let it be known that I made simply orgasmic oxtail stew! Drove everywhere trying to find the meat but 100% worth it.
Re telling, I chickened out. Still all hush hushed lol

I originally was going to wait til DD2 birthday end of the month and that was mainly because I didn't think I could wait longer than that, I would love to have kept the secret longer but with DD1 telling everyone we meet (even people we don't know) I knew someone who couldn't keep a secret would find out and spill. My mums Aunty almost did by writing something on my Facebook but I was online and deleted it... I wanted some people to still get a surprise because I had tried soooooo hard not to tell many people (only two or three close friends) we were even trying.
I think not telling if you can get away with it is wonderful, it's the best secret ever to have!!
I'm going to the GP tomorrow as I need referral to my OB and my endocrinologist said because of my conditions I need flu vax and I'll ask him about these pains, its like kidney or bladder pains I think with bonus side and back pain....
-
I have told a few randoms haha. Feels good to tell some people other than close friends

I'm really worried about the baby. I can't put my finger on it but something doesn't feel right. Don't know if it's just being paranoid or it's something. This pregnancy is just different from the other two. I have lost ms and symptoms ... Except I threw up mothers day. My stomach is not as big and doesnt seem
To be growing... It seems to have stopped and sometimes soft...and I'm not as hungry... So it can be either all explained. Getting past twelve weeks. Not eating as much and that's why I'm
Not getting the chronic heart burn like those other times. Or something is wrong. I'm driving myself insane. I really am. I feel really stressed that something's wrong. But without bleeding or pain or cramps I don't really want to contact ob...
Damprye I have the Velcro one. It seems to b working do far
Duchess... Thanks... Yeah hopefully they get a good shot. The twelve week the baby had the back to us lol
Greenslw ... Thanks. We stayed home and went to my brothers for dinner
I told some ppl before 12 weeks and the rest at 12.. I couldn't hide it. Would have been good to surprise ppl mothers day tho.

Melster - If you're really worried get in contact with your ob or go and see your GP. They can book you in for a scan if that's what you want to give you some peace of mind. My symptoms have also disappeared mostly, no more tiredness, my boobies aren't as sore. I can't compare it to other pregnancies as I haven't gotten this far before. But everywhere I read that it's normal to get a bit of relief from pregn. symptoms and that's because we're in the 2nd trimester. These symptoms will definitely come back in third and by then we'll already feel burdened by a big bump!! My belly seems to be varying in size, but might depend on how much water gets retained or drained?? Also to me it looks different with different clothes, it can look enormous in my work clothes and in my comfy "home" clothes it's teeny tiny.
Greenslw & Duchess - so exciting telling the big news to friends and family :) Greenslw - boo to lady that put a negative comment on - who does she think she is! Especially seeing what you went through to get this little one started!!
AFM Like I said, the pregnancy symptoms have all died down, besides the continuous wee-ing at night and day :$ I thought bub & uterus would have lifted off the bladder?? I'm drinking quite a lot though, up to 3 litres. Haven't felt bub yet, although am trying to concentrate, when you do there are a thousand movements you normally don't notice and if it's the little one?? Who knows. Hopefully soon I'll start feeling definite movements... I've got the day off today. Only got a few chores left, so looking forward to just relaxing :) Have a good day everyone!

Hugs Melster. If your worried call them. Its what they're being paid for. Im feeling pretty normal now. Aside from the odd hip/pelvic pain and a bit tired (and the bumpy tummy hehe) I dont really feel preggo. Such a relief not to feel like death all the time!
Trying to get DS to stay still long enough to feel bub move is frustrating as hell. Any tips?
-
Yay for ultrasound place having crap seals in envelopes
It came open in my hands!!! For real so I got to have a read of the report and all "normal" this is probably the only time I approve of that word!!
Everyone worrying not feeling bub, they are seriously all different, my eldest rarely moved around and kicked that I could feel for the whole pregnancy, there were hardly any obvious kicks. Whereas DD2 didn't stop kicking from when she started.
If you are that worried about a sudden change in movements drink an icy drink and or ring ob/midwife hopefully they will put you at ease. My OB had to twice with DD1 once at about 14 weeks (I think it was growing pains) and once at 39+5 because I felt no kicks and he hooked me up and it showed she was kicking constantly I just couldn't feel it.
