Just popping in to check on everyone (and stalk Cheshire :) )
Our rainbow baby arrived on April 16th. Was a very emotional and slightly traumatic delivery - after being induced with the gel due to IUGR at 39wks and having hours of strong contractions with no progress and an unhappy baby heartbeat I was expecting the worst. Baby arrived in 20mins from 1-10cm and pushing with his cord wrapped around his neck and shoulder which was preventing him from dropping into my pelvis but when he managed it he came quickly and painfully!
But oh my he is utter perfection :heartbeat:
I still cant believe the baby I dreamed about and mourned for 3 long years is finally here. Worth every single step of heartache and pain.
Wishing you all the very best for the rest of your journey's xxxxxx

Hi
I've been battling joining here since I finally got pregnant again.
My loss was different.
I lost DD2's twin.
At 14 weeks my OB randomly did a scan, I assume something showed up on my urine test. And one twin "little twin" had stopped growing, no heartbeat.
I had had a normal 10 week scan with two in range heartbeats.
I always feel bad for feeling so sad about little twin because when the majority of women lose a baby they have nothing :(
I still had big twin.
I had morning sickness terrible from week 9-16 and we assume it was because it was a twin pregnancy, as I didn't vomit once with DD1.
This time I've felt sick all the time now a lot less but when it hits it is terrible.
I'm not allowed to vomit with medical condition I have so that's been good or I would have to find time to get to hospital.
It's like I can't bond with the baby til 14 weeks.
:(
It's hard because I had no bleeding at all and my body absorbed little twin so I didn't have the trauma of losing a baby like so many women do.
I've told all close friends and family about bub and hope I'm not setting them up for disappointment.
I told miss 6 at 7 weeks and was hoping she didn't have to go through me losing another baby.
Scan on Thursday, hopefully after the scan (13 weeks) I will convince myself everything is ok.
I've never had the NT scan with my other babies I can never afford it but knew I needed it this time.

Damprye - wow that was a weird dream. I'm having very vivid dreams as well and get so over it. I feel like I've been up and running around all night if I've been dreaming a lot. Hope you had a nicer dream today!
Greenslw - hope you'll be able to have a good rest during the week!
Freya - congrats with your rainbow baby! I'm so glad your little one has arrived safely. Enjoy the newborn cuddles!
Duchess - welcome! I hope the next few weeks fly by and all will be well. We all know how stressful it is to get past a certain amount of weeks. I think many of us won't stop stressing till bub is there happy and healthy.
Hi to everyone else!
AFM Energy is slowly coming back. No more naps during the day, am slightly sad, I did quite enjoy them, but at the same time get more stuff done. Have started on crafting some little things for the little one and been enjoying it! My belly is slowly growing bigger and my first customers have noticed that I have a bun in the oven. Had to work yesterday, luckily it went past quickly, but was on my legs for the full 4 hours. I did have a pretty sore lower back at night :$
-
Me4- Yays on people noticing :D The vivid dreams are because we don't sleep as soundly as we used to and have more REM sleep. My dreams are pretty crazy though lol. TMI but last week I woke up totally aroused as in my dream I was a lesbian and full on going for it with another woman and was about to climax in the dream haha. Weird!
Duchess- Losing a baby is still losing a baby. Yes of course you'd be grateful for still having DD2 but that doesn't take away the heartache of losing another little life :hugs: people that haven't experienced loss often are quick to jump in and tell you not to grieve or make you feel guilty about it but here is safe. Congrats on this pregnancy.
Freya- So glad your rainbow baby has finally arrived :)
Greenslw- Lol they get real freaky
-
Freya -I'm so very happy you got your rainbow baby & i bet he is just adorable & perfect.
Duchess- I'm sorry you've had to join us & i'm sorry you lost a twin.
It's devastating losing a baby but i do hope you can get some relief next week when you see your baby's little HB :)
Damp - that is some dream you had.
Me4 - i'm jealous of your energy mine is no existent but than my iron levels are 5 so its no wonder i have no energy.
Green - hope your able to have a nice relaxing week :)
-
Fraya welcome to your raiinbow baby sounds very action packed but great there was a happy ending

Hi to Cheshire and damprye
Went to play group today and one of the mums 3 weeks ago no sign of pg and now she looks like I did at 7 months and she's only 20 weeks with baby 2. She's a little thinner than me but not much scary. DF is working overtime again and DS was up at 5.30 every day on weekend I'm soooo tired.
-
hi all :)
sounds like everything is going along nicely for you all :)
wow, those are some vivid dreams Damprye!
AFM: I'm still plodding along, no news at all really. SIL and her partner are moving out this weekend, so that's a huge stress gone. :)

Me.......well i must say i am extremely hormonal still ...very emotional and angry...lots is getting to me...Anyone else have problems with hormones.ms has eased up alot...stomach doesnt seem as big....but its this back ache...its back again....how do you know the difference between miscarriage back ache....and just regular back ache due to everythign relaxing?? i wish i was more positive, but its hard when things change and dont have the ms to make it feel a bit safer
Greenslw....its not this saturday but next i think, ill let u all know :) ....with our first we wanted to find out..second we decided not too and got her to write it on paper..and we both caved...this one we defiantly want to know...i dont even mind what the gender is..so i dont know why im so nervous...even hubby said that he loves them no matter what and wont be dissapointed if its not a boy.....but im sure deep down he will be tho...maybe slightly. maybe its because i know its our definate last and i feel bad if i cant give him a boy....i dunno..maybe its just hormones. LOL
Duchess congratulations
Me4ever...how are you going?
Damprye..how you going? youve been quiet
How yoy going cheshire?
V21...that must be a relief

I had a horrible dream that Boo died last night & of course it's all i can think about now.
Dam these lack of movements.
-

:hug:s girls. For crappy, scary dreams and lack of symptoms.
Just booked my morph scan. Ive been avoiding making phonecalls because of this constant headache but Im running out of time to do everything! Also called Britax about replacement parts for my pram, and Samsung about our washing machine (which thank goodness is not an affected model!) made a gp appointment for my us referal. So good to not have to stress about these things now. I can move on to worrying about the next lot of things
-
It's horrid it's like every feeling could be good or bad
Like trying to conceive it took me until the successful cycle to realise I was so pumped full of hormones my body thought I was pregnant therefore I should ignore all symptoms.
We have had some very bad financial news a week or so ago so I'm starting to worry about more things going wrong for us.
Cheshire your dream sounds horrible :(
Two days til my scan and I'm busy tomorrow so that should go fast and then after the one more week and I will feel like I've passed the stage of the same thing as last time happening, but then keep thinking of all the other things that can go wrong.
I have two very very rare medical conditions so rare medical things happening to me never surprises me :/
-
V21 relies can be hard work hope more space means you can relax
Mel hormonal is totally normal and a good sign better out than in I think.
Cheshire so sorry for bad dreams not looking forward to it had a few with DS.
Cal wow sounds like you have a huge list guess your memory is still holding up. Not mine lol
Duches good luck for your scan lets hope it's a good scan day for both of us.
ATM my mind is gone I am forgetting everything. But tomorrow I see my chiropractor and I'm so excited my neck has been out for a week and the headaches are awful. Also going to ask about massage I'm really wanting one but scared after bleeding. If he says yes and scan Thursday goes well then I'm off for pampering for sure.
-
Greenslw - how's the job application going? Are you going for an interview soon? How did the chiropractor visit go and what did he say about a massage?
Hi Cheshire! Hope you're feeling well today! What a nasty dream by the way :( If it's any consolation, I haven't felt bub move around yet either. The bubs are still very tiny, about 10 cm from head to bum I think, so the effects of their movements might not be clear enough yet?
Damprye - Idd some pretty crazy dreams! Hope they're a bit nicer now?! I've been dreaming a lot about my parents/brothers/sister that live overseas. I think I might be a bit homesick. I would have loved to go baby stuff shopping with my mum. Have got my DH's mum as a substitute, but it's not the same...
Duchess - only 1 more day till your scan! How exciting that you get to see bub again!
Calluna - when's your morph scan?
V21 - Hi and how are you?
Lyra and kbudgie - how are you girls holding up? Any scans soon?
Melster - hugs hun, could the back ache be because of being hunched over or at the computer or sitting at an uncomfortable chair for a long time? My back ache is worse when I've been on my feet all day or when I sit in uncomfortable wooden chairs... Hope it eases soon.
AFM Not much going on here, besides me worrying about having a total lack of symptoms, besides the massive appetite at the moment. I can't get enough of my food since yesterday. I'm not tired, not nauseous (never was during this pregnancy), my nipples are only a tad bit sore. I haven't been able to feel bub move yet and my tum hasn't been feeling that big, the last 2 days. I don't know if I'm just getting used to the sight of my bump :) Otherwise keeping myself busy crafting stuff for baby. I'm working on the cutest growth chart and have finished a cross stitching on a set of a beanie, a singletsuit and mitts to match. All very cute! Today I picked up a fitted sheet and sleeping bag for when bub is a bit bigger. Pretty cute with little doggies on it.
-
Oh just great, another double post...
-
still here still Ok . a little off food but drinking lots of milk. Had a terrible night sleep wise so hoping to have an early one tonight
-
Me4 job hasn't been advertised yet so looks like I'm going to have to spill the pg news and hope I get considered equally but I don't think I will as the big boss is very anti pg lady. I'm freaking out actually because my job is only normall part time and after a year off I will need full time or at least 0.8. After DS I ended up working three jobs for a while and it was NOT good. The second trimester is supposed to be the best trimester so hope this is what's going on for you. Also you must be so crafty, I having trouble finishing things.
Kbudgie hope you are keeping positive.
Me I LOVE my chiropractor I have no pain and he said massage is ok so booked in for Thursday week. Scan tomorrow fingers crossed no more clot and baby is growing well too. Bit nervous but overall positive.
