Thanks greenslw - I had an awesome birthday. Last year was not so nice as I'd just had the D&C 4 days before and I was still feeling crappy and upset! Had a nice day shopping and went for lunch with a friend. At night went out for dinner with DH and his parents, grandpa and brother & sister in law en their little bub. The day was over before I knew it... Am glad your scan went well and good on you for not giving in to finding out the gender

Desailly -- I think it was you who asked from when the HCG numbers take longer to multiply. I'm pretty sure that's from 6000 onwards. Most places don't go beyond that for blood tests as by then you should be able to see something on the ultrasound.

Duchess - my bump is still pretty small - even though I'm not trying, not many people notice I'm pregnant, unless I tell them. And I'm coming up to 21 weeks!
