Hi all
I've been soooooo sick today. Morning sickness well and truely set in 24 hrs a day. Keep reminding myself its good as I don't recall being this sick with the last 2 I lost. Really tired too wish I could just stay in bed all day. DS enjoyed his 6 th birthday but now I have party to organise for Saturday. First time I've done a party with school friends (he only started school this year) so a bit stressful having a bunch of kids I don't know coming.
Ticktock hcg levels sound good. Always hard to know as everyone's different. If you look back on this post about 3 weeks ago I think it was duchess gave me a link to the normal hcg ranges. On my phone now so to hard to find it sorry.
Greenslw did u end up speaking to your manager?
Melster hope you're doing ok. Sounds like you have a lot of stress in your life. How did ob appt go? Hope you can get some rest soon.
Duchess glad you're getting lots of kicks. Wedding dress drama sounds like a lot of unnecessary stress. Hopefully you can put it behind you now.
-
Greenslw would co worker be trying for that job too? That's amazing! Does she know about you?
Melster -- you need to get a break soon!!
Tictoc -- numbers rising, tiredness, sickness !! Yay!!!
Asm- my cousin had not meant me an issue with the venue but she did sound sorry for being pushy when she found out why I had been kinda delaying buying the dress.
I felt a lot the other night and hardly anything since and according to websites this kid should be 14.3cm at 18 weeks and I don't see how that is me I've not popped at all
-
Desaily yay for sickness, I kinda miss sickness lol!
-
Hi all I just got my hcg results for this week and they are a bit lower than I was anticipating. I thought they were supposed to double every 2 days or so which was my pattern over the last few weeks. However over the last week they went from 16918 (6wks 2ds) to 44906 (7wks 2ds) which works out at doubling in 5-6 days. Anyone know when the doubling slows and if this is normal or should I be worried? Another 6 days till ob apt so getting stressed!
-
Yes I need a holiday... But when I'm not pregnant and can drink and relax and not feel sick lol.... Had ob appointment and he thinks maybe I had a virus or food poisoning ... That my backs out and that it's ok to get Braxton's this early with the third child. Go back in a month and see the midwives when I'm 24 weeks. Had my chiro appointment so hopefully she has done the job. I'm going to go buy a weat bag... Think I might stay at my mums tonight and have a bath and have a craving for satay chicken and special fried rice lol yum....bought myself two bonds jumpers at Myers as they were out for 30 each... So hopefully they last me.. And bought a feeding privacy blanket
Tick tok.... I'm not 100./. About the results but it does sound ok...
Thanks Greenslw.... Good luck with you're scan tomorrow ...
Duchess... Some ppl just carry differently. Is ur dr worried at all !
Desailey .... I'm sorry I don't know much about levels... Can you search the Internet and see what the good range is for the weeks???? I wish you all the best
-
Melstar -- heat packs are a must!!
My ob not worried about not popping, last week at 17 weeks he said bit early for that lol
Doesn't help people around me are 34 or 38 weeks!!
Desaily -those numbers are massive and sound like another kind of right...
-
Duchess I have booked my scan for 24th June, two days before my birthday so fingers crossed I get an early birthday present and get to see a heartbeat. I cannot wait until I can feel baby kicking and moving around. Glad your cousin had some empathy regarding your bridesmaid dress.
Sorry you're having such a rough time Melstar, I hope things start to look up for you soon. Sometimes going to talk to someone and getting things off your chest is all that's needed. I love the idea of staying with your mum and having a soak in the bath! My bath tub is so small only half of me fits in, wish I could go somewhere and borrow someone elses lol.
Greenslw how was your scan? Did DS get a kick out of seeing his little brother / sister?
Desailly I hope the morning sickness isn't to unbareable! I knew I'd seen a hcg list on here somewhere, thanks for pointing it out for me. I think your levels are fine - have you spoken to your GP?
I rang the Gp this morning and got a slip for another hcg test, I want reassurance my numbers are going up. I keep telling myself that when I get my results tomorrow I will no longer stress about the pregnancy and focus on the positives (yeah right!) like extreme exhaustion, out of control appetite, unable to concentrate, memory loss, bloated belly and tender boobs - isn't it great??! I told DD last night, she was shocked but is happy and I've told her she can come to me with questions if she wants to know anything. She knows that I've had losses before and that this is only early days and we've all got our fingers crossed that everything goes well. It will definitely be a shock for her, she struggled a bit when we moved in with DP as she had had me to herself for 8 yrs and now she has to accept that she will no longer be an only child.
-
Sorry just a short one as pregnancy brain is kicking in and even though I've just read some of the latest responses, can't quite remember...
Hey Melster - still missing you on our belly buddy group on Facebook ;) Did you end up going to your mum's for a bath?? Yay for buying bonds jumpers at a good price!
Thanks greenslw - I had an awesome birthday. Last year was not so nice as I'd just had the D&C 4 days before and I was still feeling crappy and upset! Had a nice day shopping and went for lunch with a friend. At night went out for dinner with DH and his parents, grandpa and brother & sister in law en their little bub. The day was over before I knew it... Am glad your scan went well and good on you for not giving in to finding out the gender :)
Desailly -- I think it was you who asked from when the HCG numbers take longer to multiply. I'm pretty sure that's from 6000 onwards. Most places don't go beyond that for blood tests as by then you should be able to see something on the ultrasound.
Duchess - my bump is still pretty small - even though I'm not trying, not many people notice I'm pregnant, unless I tell them. And I'm coming up to 21 weeks!
-
Desailly my HCG didn't rise typically and started falling at 11 weeks not 13 but squirt is still hear try to keep calm
Duches I'm not out either I carry very centrally but I do have bump envy when ladies have a big out front bump but it is defiantly what's inside that counts ;)
Mel jumpers sound nice and good price I've been craving satay too with spring rolls yummy
Tic toc I hope new HCG test helps you feel better
Me what a night DS wet threw I was up at 5 am with work on my mind DS a d DF both cranky today but the scan went well average size which is good as DS was 57 cm and 9 lb 3. Plecenta well out the way and clot is still there but not bleeding. So to the midwife in 10 days and hope no more scans. I'm really chick ending out with telling work, job application in today and its been so crazy it just feels all wrong, what to do? I'm not showing but want maternity leave in 16 weeks so its getting rude but I don't want to miss out on the job either ........ I wish I could see how both options would turn out? Crazy right.
-
Greenslw -- you have lasted this long don't tell work til you need to... Do you need to give notice of maternity leave?
My dd1 was 57cm and 8 pound 6 she is still tall lol! Dd2 was 50cm and 6 pound 6 and 3 weeks 1 day early! So full term would have been similar
-
Greenslw I hope the work situation rectifies soon - I'm going to find myself in a similar position, I've recently had to reapply for my role as I was employed temporarily full time for 3mths & now 6mths down the track they have advertised the role. I just hope I get called up for an interview before it gets too hard to hide baby bloat!
Glad you had a nice b'day me4ever :D
My hcg had increased to 2575 in 44hrs so according to a information thingy I'm doubling approx every 70hrs which is still within normal ranges. I know I was meant to relax when I saw the numbers had increased but now I'm worried they're not increasing high enough :wall: why do I do it to myself??
-
Tic toc you should be fine for me it's more that I feel like a big fat pg lier not really honesty and integrity but if it was before 12 weeks I'd say nothing. We all get ott from time to time hope you can relax soon
Duchess there is no when to tell date but it will start to get rude I think as they may need to advertise to fill my role. Hope my bubs isn't bigger than DS
I chickened out busy day busy boss and I said nothing big fat pg lier alert. Wow I need to get some courage.
-
Just schedule a meeting with those who need to know, so it won't matter if its busy its your time. You are right it will be less favourably looked at the longer you leave it... Good luck
I'm starting to find it an amusing novelty to be almost half way with no obvious bump!
So tired and DD2 just woke up coughing up flem (which I caught in my hand) and she hasn't stopped coughing, which will likely affect her eating abc drinking and mood for the day... And hubby working :(
-
Greenslw- It is not until 30weeks that employees must tell their employer about their impending arrival. You have a few more weeks left. Until then, you do not have to feel bad at all. If they hold that against you then that is discrimination as you are following the law still.
Tictoc- It is always hard not to stress. I'm no longer convinced that HcG levels are the way to go if looking for reassurance as it only ever stressed me out (I always have low levels) and has never been able to predict if I'm going to carry to term or miscarry. Next pregnancy I think I will just leave it other than stress further about it.
Dutchess- Oh bugger about DD
Me4- Glad you had a good birthday this year. And just think, next year you get to hold your bub in your arms :D
AFM- I start seeing a dietician on Thursday so I can start losing weight (well continue but by eating the correct calories and nutrients, not by the m/s which is still going strong). I have also gotten together with a few people from my area to go walking each week. They want once a week but even if I have to go it alone, I want to for 4 times a week. Bub is extremely active which is good but still feels very weird and very off putting when DTD lol. I had one of my friends tell me off for calling my bub "foetus" but I like that belly name. I'm generally more of a facts person than an emotional one. I call my other kids "bogger bum" and the such and I love them to bits so how is this any different?
-
I reckon call your bump whatever you please, it's a foetus til its born in scientific terms so what's wrong with that?? My bump is called ikea, my daughter thought excellent boys name so it stuck, i also love it as its a tribute to how hard the baby was to make.
DD2 is not coughing so bad but ended up in our bed last night, after waking herself.
Anyone know the rules about mould in a rental?? The bathroom where we live is constantly mouldy, I'm making hubby mould kill it today and we are going to take progress photos, its a old house with crap ventilation so not a lot of solutions for the owner and we already pay cheap rent.
Still doing the major room swap, huge job and all I want to do is sew which is also not unpacked properly....
Good luck with the diet
-
Duchess I think it depends on your state maybe phone tenancy tribunal in your state and ask them or another agent. And yeah I think meeting it is. Got to be honest and then fight any discrimination if it happens.
Damprye in my field there is no week when you have to but for me it's more about wanting to work happily for 16 more weeks and then when I go back. Good on you for seeing the dietician hard to do pg but seems like you're on a role.
Me had a lovely sleep in thanks to DF and DS. Weekends should last longer.
-
Back off to the GP today - boobs no longer feel fuller, have stopped peeing so much, belly bloat seems to have disappeared and then I did a digital test this morning & it is still showing 2-3 weeks (so 4-5 weeks pregnant) & I'm meant to be 6 wks as of today. Combine all that with the fact my right hip /side has a dull ache & I'm struggling to not cry & my stress levels are going through the roof. I know there's a chance I'm just paranoid but I need to know :(
-
Hey everyone
How you all going ?
Tick tok have you been to ur app yet ?
I have been out since 8am. Went to the counselor, it went ok and might take hubby with me next time. Not sure if I need a phycologist rather than a counselor .. But I'll see how things go... Now I'm rugged up on the couch waiting for dd2 to go to sleep so I can have a nanna nap...
-
Did you get your nana nap melster?
I saw the GP who tried to tell me to relax because my hcg levels were fine but once she realised how distressed I was she booked me in for a viability u/s. And the u/s showed an empty sack, no embryo :( Am now waiting to hear back from GP so I can go pick up pathology slip & have bloods. Who wants a bet I'm going to be crying & drinking wine by this time tomorrow?
-
Big gentle hugs Tic toc. Im so sorry hun.
-
I'm so sorry Tic Toc
I've been so slack in here but i wanted to pop in & say we are excitedly expecting a little BOY.
Still in a bit of shock, but love that i get to go shopping & buy stuff for the little man :)
-
Isn't an empty sack and no heartbeat kind of expecting at this many weeks tictoc?
I only had a sack and fetal pole and heartbeat at basically 6 weeks?? Are you 100% sure of dates??
How stressful and scary :(
Praying for good news for you!!!!
Cheshire!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow!!!!!!!! A little boy!! How exciting, crazy and unexpected for you!!
-
I've got my fingers crossed duchess that somehow my dates are wrong but I was temping to pinpoint O & I've been studying my chart a lot this afternoon & can't see how it could be wrong. I had a blood test this afternoon, have to wait til weds to see what my levels are doing. Am still booked in for my u/s next Monday incase my levels are still increasing. I wasn't expecting a HB but I did think a fetal pole or something would be in there. Had to do internal even to see the sac clearly.
The strange thing - for the last 3 days whenever I have sat in the lounge the cat has been on me & will stay there until I move. Wonder if he knows I need cuddles?
-
at six weeks I still don't think fetal pole is a must, at least I'm hoping that's the case for you.
I'll be thinking of you. Wednesday is so long away. Do something distracting tomorrow
-
Thank you for your thoughts, I have taken time off work until Thursday & DD is at camp (thank goodness) so I think tomorrow will be spent in my pjs on the couch with the cat & some DVDs. We want this baby so much, if this doesn't work it will be time to visit FS & sort out what's going on.
-
Ticktock- I was charting and all with DS2 and he (as well as all pregnancies) had low hcg and measured 2 weeks behind. If I had of gone in at 6weeks, no way would we have seen anything except maybe a sac and it wasn't till then that I even had the hcg showing on the blood test. Almost 2 weeks before the blood test had come back negative. Like with this bub, if my levels and scans were right, I'd be late before preggers lol impossible. Hope that helps a lil.
-
Tictoc nice you can Have some time at home and I bet the can knows. Best of luck thinking of you.
Cheshire wow a boy with your girls that is nice happy shopping.
Mel good on you, talking to someone can be hard hope it helps
Me tomorrow is tell work day all a meeting and hold on! DS was so cute tonight I sung Peter rabbit 10 times and in the jungle about the same while reading an animal book before bed, love story time. DF also felt squirt last night :) too cool.
-
Ticktoc hope all is ok. Often can't see much at 6 wks so don't give up yet. Sending hugs :^)
I'm anxiously awaiting my first ob apt and scan on Wed. Feeling better about this pregnancy than the last couple I lost as symptoms seem stronger but still nervous until I see a heartbeat.
Greenslw good luck telling work. I'm dreading telling my work as I just started a new job and literally got pg witin my first 2 weeks! Won't go down well! Don't have to worry about telling for a while yet though...
-
tictoc i had to post honey,i really hope all is ok darling. fx for you xx
afm, on holiday and my ankles are missing in action, combination of heat, water retention and mozzie bites
-
ill have everything crossed for you Ticktok....dont give up hope just yet...hugs hugs hugs
-
Ticktoc did you get blood results?
-
Hi everyone, I have to say - all your messages of support have brought tears to my eyes, thank you.
Greenslw how did it all go with work?
Desailly I hope eveything goes well tomorrow with your ob appt and scan
Kbudgie your ankles/kankles sound painful! I hope there's someone who can massage your feet for you at the end of the day?
I spent the day on the couch, in my pjs with all the curtains closed and the cat on my lap. I cracked it at DP as not only did he go to work (I can understand, he doesn't like to let people down) but he also agreed to being away from home tonight to do a 4am load (he's a truck driver) I couldn't talk to him all day without crying and becoming so angry! In the end, after a nana nap and a lovely chat with my girlfriend I rang him and told him I didn't want to hurt his feelings but I feel A, B and C about him not being home. Then I got off my bum, got dressed and went for a walk in the rain as the sun was going down - it was actually quite nice :)
I didn't ring for my blood results, my GP is away today and I didn't want to have to speak to another Dr. My boobs are looking like deflated balloons and my tummy has gone all spongy and soft (well softer than normal anyway). I know I could get positive news tomorrow but in my heart I'm confident it's not good. I haven't told my BB due group yet, just not ready to share until I know 100%.
-
Hang in there tic toc
Men handle things so differently. My hubby would be the same. He didn't come home from work when I lost little twin and didn't come home when my pituitary tumor was diagnosed
It's his way and I'm getting used to it.
All the symptoms can be deceiving I am hoping you have good news tomorrow <3
-
Thanks Duchess - I guess that's why they say women are the stronger sex?
I was just so angry as with my loss last month I was visiting my family and his reasoning was I had my family to support me (although he did come up after finishing work on the saturday) but this time I'm here all by myself - my family and best friends are 2.5 /3 hrs away and I haven't made any close friends since moving in last September. Love him to bits but I think if he walked in the door tonight I'd probably throw something at him out of pure frustration. Men! :wall:
-
-
Tic toc the walk sounded just lovely I hope it helped. I hope dp comes home with a big cuddle for you I agree with duchess but still a bit sucky. Goodluck tomorrow.
Kbudgie I take it your in the heat then try to enjoy with or without ancles
Desailly goodluck for tomorrow the first appointment is so exciting.
So my day hmmm I got a moment with my boss and it went well she was happy for me and eccentric though she said its hard for managers she seemed genuinely happy. She said she thinks I should keep it under my hat until after the interview, she's on the panel and they are shortlisting today. My other boss (yes two bosses) is also on the panel and the regional manager "gulp" this is going to be a tough interview but I hope they respect my integrity and honest and trust that after a year i will be back and the same good worker I am today. Who knows watch this space.
-
yes green i am in the heat in Malta
good luck with the interview xx
-
How did you go Tick Tok
Duchess..any news
Greenslw....thats good that you told you're boss and at least now you can wait till after youre interview...hope it goes well.
-
Hi all. I had my ob apt and scan today but unfortunately not good news. No little heartbeat. Looks like I lost it in the 6th week so guess those hcg levels were deceiving.
I'm booked in for d&c next Wed. Wish it was sooner but dr has a busy week and couldn't do it any sooner.
Don't really know what to think now. Feel like I can't keep going through this and should just be thankful for my 2 wonderful kids and leave it at that. But on the other hand I've invested so much mental energy on trying to get pg over last couple of years that to give up would be afailure - like it was all for nothing. I think DH would like to give up. ..
Sorry for bit of a rant just emotional at the moment. No one knew I was pg so don't have anyone to talk to except DH. Not sure whether to tell my mum as my step dad is dying of cancer so don't really want to burden her with more bad news.
Anyway good luck to the rest of you. Ticktoc how did you go today?
-
Oh desailly I'm so so sorry :(
I know how you feel about ttc but I was always grateful I didn't have lots of miscarriages just failed attempts, it wears you down. Ask your doctor if you should take a month or two off? I couldn't because of my ovarian failure time was precious.
Wednesday is forever away :(
Ticktoc ~ any news?
