Things to add to my list of "strange things that happen when pregnant" - I no longer like the taste of pepper, have decided that I do like portello flavoured cordial for the first time in my life and had to resist the urge to eat chocolate at 6.30 this morning. Weird.
Duchess I had read about gallbladders being removed between 16 and 21 (?) wks but not sure what the process is. When the hospital rang to book my surgery they asked when baby was due and said they'd ring me back in February. Will have to mention it at next Dr appt. Lol about being friends with the blood test lady - I actually gave the pathology lady a cheery "see you next week" when I left on monday:rolleyes:

I can get heartburn from eating bananas - is that normal?

I get heartburn from a lot of foods it's the real acidic foods make it so much worse & painful.
I will say yes it's normal :)

Tictock-- normal?!! Nothing is weird when you are pregnant! I had heartburn/almost reflux last week or so but I didn't stop and think what caused it... Could have actually been bananas...
I have aversion to coconut oil :( It was part of our diet before I was pregnant but since then I can't stand the smell of it and I cant eat brown rice without feeling off

I'm off meat - even chicken. I don't mind cooking it, it's just the thought of eating it. It's funny, I'm hungry but there's nothing jumping out at me that seems appealing but I will eat pretty much whatever is put in front of me lol

It's late and I'm tired so just going to update quickly, sorry.
Have had an annoying few days. On top of cold/flu symptoms, I have been having BH (very painful due to irritable uterus), my BP yesterday was 160/90, pulse 144, protein in my urine, started swelling today, been dizzy and shaky today as well, even after a drip yesterday due to dehydration and worsened HG. This evening I've started getting times of blurred vision and heaviness on my chest making breathing a bit difficult but not sure if they are related to cold/flu or the high bp as I have a headache as well that I have been putting down to the cold/flu as it has been more temporal with pain in the front that I'm pretty sure is from my sinuses.
I am resting as much as possible. Not going to stress about it all as what is the point when I don't know what symptoms are from what? Other than that, doing well, bub is quiet now but was active heaps over last few days. Haven't felt her tonight but she is likely sleeping :)

Damprye, those sound like Pre eclampsia symptoms... I would go and get checked out. How far along are you now?

Damprye PE is the first thing I thought too, and coz I don't have personal experience I just thought all those things can't be good and I'd personally be with medical assistance til they figured it out. You poor thing it sounds dreadful.

Just got back from my diabetes test it has wiped me out. Df and ds are out which is nice although ds room is a bomb site I guess three hous with df sent both of them crazy lol. Leaving it for the supervising parent to clean up!

I spent yesterday feeling "not pregnant" I realise it's a hormonal thing but it makes me cranky & tense. Not confident I'll feel better today as I had a terrible night sleep - we had a family get together & stayed at my dads & between the ferals having a party all night next door & DP snoring his head off after one too many "celebration drinks" that dad kept providing I feel like I've had a very broken sleep. Counting down till the 12th, need to see baby's HB so I know it's real & not a figment of my imagination.

Ticktoc-- It doesn't get any better, especially with the scan you had in the back of your mind... I am 20+3 and still convinced i will have devastating news on Tuesday... I can't shake it!! And I've been so stressed last week I fear it's my fault. I've not felt much definite movement from baby so now I have the belly and no reassuraning kicks the last couple days. I need to know that placenta is in the way I can't believe I'm so far and haven't asked
I'm not so grumpy any more just overly teary which is actually more acceptable so at least I can't see me getting myself in trouble yelling at randoms...

Hugs duchess, I hope your scan puts your mind at ease. I can relate to being concerned there is a link between anxiety, fear, stress etc and something going wrong with bub. It's a horrible feeling.
I never knew being pregnant could be so stressful & full of fear. I sailed through with DD because I don't know to be scared.
Geez I'm doom & gloom today, sorry everyone.

Hugs Ticktoc and Duchess! It sucks doesn't it, having had a miscarriage(s) before. Fingers crossed we'll be alright this time and hopefully the time will fly by and we'll be having newborn cuddles before we know it! Duchess are you feeling bub move around? I know it's still a while off for you, Ticktoc, but the time will come. I'm feeling kicks every day now and am feeling way calmer about it all. Now bub seems to be doing well, I'm starting to freak out about the next hurdle - birth - so scary as I'm a first time mum and don't really know what to expect pain wise. Also so much uncertainty about when labour will start and if it will end up being a c-section.
Greenslw - Good luck for the interview tomorrow! I'm keeping my fingers knees and toes crossed for you! Did DF end up cleaning up yesterday? Did you end up having a nice rest?
Melster - Damprye's bub is fine for now I think, she's still in utero. You really should join our Facebook group :P! Hope you're having a good day!

AFM 23 weeks 1 day now! I can't believe I made it this far! As I said though, I'm getting a bit anxious about giving birth and having weird nightmares/dreams during the night :( No fun, especially since I'm home alone and don't have hubby there to calm me down. Can't wait till this bub is out safe and sound though!

Birth is the only thing I have sorted, thanks to my medical conditions and past c/s I'm in for a c/s at 38 weeks. It sucks knowing I don't get to wait til bun wants to come and feel the contractions like I did for my eldest and let my body welcome and birth the baby :(
Movement I maybe felt something this morning but so small it could have been the cat or hunger :/ it's freaking me out I think I'll get a frozen coke and try and wake things up but at least only two sleeps and i will have answers.
I had movement from 16-17 weeks sometimes heaps sometimes strong but I've been so stressed and busy on holidays I'm hoping I've just "somehow" missed them :/

Sorry guys. Forgot to update. They got me to go in on Friday for a check up. BP was better so that's good and I have the BTs for pre-e tomoz. I hope it isn't. Swelling more, I have sausage fingers, cankles and fat(ter) face I usually have normal people appendages despite my weight due to the PCOS so upset that things aren't usual and that it is indicative of pre-e. Fat fingers crossed though that it is just normal pregnancy odema and the bp and protein are also unrelated.
Bub's movements have lessened a bit and so have the ctx thank goodness. DTD seems to be out now though as it is just far too painful and causes ctx. Wearing my belly support band religiously now even though its annoying but it does actually help. Thinking of wearing my old teddies for the swelling in my cankles and surrounding areas.

Me4 I've had nightmares since 12 weeks its hormones but it can be freaky, can puppy sleep on the bed? When is dh home? :hug: I am a fan of no birth plan and go with the flow, I'm a big organiser normally but birth is not organisable in my mind, it worked last time for me.

I was leaning my tummy on the counter and bubs was kicking off the counter and I was moving BIG BABY! Ds was a big kicker too.
Df did not clean ds room but I did it with ds. Feeling a bit seedy today just flat. Getting nervous about tomorrow and decided to start thinking about my baby shower for distraction. Rainbow theme dss's gf is a wedding designer and my beastie is no fuss kind of girl so good mix of helpers. I can't wait to wear my interview outfit pretty flash and I don't normally dress up so pretty cool.

I felt some movements late this afternoon after drinking orange juice :)
My miss 2 has hand foot and mouth :( she had it end of April too :( second week of holidays stuck away from kids... Could be less stress but miss 2 is miserable and miss 6 will go crazy

Greenslw - Good luck - am so hoping you'll get the job!! Take a photo of you in your nice outfit and put it on facebook :D Would like to see it! Puppy on the bed, haha, he's a BIG puppy, about 27 kilos and to make sure he knows who's boss, not allowed on our lounges and bed :D He'd probably love it though. He likes his outside house the most, he's been spending most of his time there during the day, when he's not out in the sun. When he sleeps inside after a couple of hours he'll sit next to my bed till I wake up and I have to put him outside. My hubby got home late last night! I slept way better :) Still weird dreams, but at least not the nightmare again. Hubby is off to work again now and will probably be working late, but at least he'll be home again tonight! I am planning on making a birth plan, but not too rigid about it. I want to try without pain medication, but don't know if it'll be long before I succumb, it all depends on how long it's going to go for I suppose. And bub kicking you and you moving of the counter! You must indeed have a big bouncy bub!
Duchess - am kinda envious of you girls that have a cs booked in, weird isn't it. Even though of course it's not ideal and will take time healing too. I just like the idea of knowing how and when :D I'm glad you can feel your little one moving around! I can everyday now, although after my busy days at work bub seems to be just sleeping and sleeping and not moving much.
Damrpye - good luck with GTT and blood tests! Am keeping fingers crossed it's not pre-e!

Knowing when is the only good thing, the rest truly sucks! Even knowing what to expect makes it horrid, my last one was terrible then I got knocked out and was relieved :( the gallbladder surgery made recovery harder so this time I'm hoping for less pain for less weeks afterwards.

I've only bought stuff I can give to friends babies an names are the only thing I have done. I figure whatever happens bub will need a name and hubby takes forever to agree so I need to start before conception :/
I have a boy and girl name the same name I had for miss 2 for a boy and a girl name that is growing on hubby.
Luckily we have everything, seriously everything with it being number three so don't have to think about it for a long time. I have to get excited and act at ease because of miss 6

kbudgie- Yup, even now, after 2 live births and growing boys, I'm petrified every time I buy something for baby that I'm wasting my money and setting myself up for greater disappointment when I don't bring home my baby.
AFM- Had my tests this morning and just made it through the last one before puking lol. I'm wondering if I should quickly go get my bp checked at the chemist before I pick up DS2 as I not long got a blood nose :/ Worst part is, I'm wearing all white LOL. Thankfully none of it got on me, just the lawn and tissues :)
BP was 127/76 so good bottom number and slightly elevated top :D

Me4 glad dh is home wow what a puppy he's huge, but I'm sure he makes you feel safe. I got home after interview to ds melt down so no photo, funny how I am so professional at work but at home just mum and that's the way I like it. Got interview cloths off before they got spotted on but after feeling so good dressed up I'm going to do it more often, we'll until they don't fit!
Duchess and kb I have just started buying little things hard not to get attached now I can really feel squirt only a couple more weeks until I will totally relax.

Thanks for all your luck it was an interesting interview, I was trying to be professional but the panel was very casual I knew all three and two are my referees my other referee works in the building and gave me a big calm down hug just befor I went in, three interesting questions and not a lot of questions from the panel, does this mean I was good enough not to need to clarify or I already was out of the running, they didn't ask when I would be able to start either, that one is unsettling me a little, but it is the same department and both my bosses were there. Oh this stuff does my head in! Hope to know Friday. Baby has been kicking all day just to keep my grounded.

I didn't see my OB, I went to the chemist.
With interviews, I always find them difficult to decipher...until I make a big blunder. I have tended to find that payrates have been brought up by them when I have been hired.

Scan was awesome!!!!! Everything as it should be, measured about 4-5 days bigger which is well within normal. Placenta at the back so I'll be putting the pressure on to feel more and more soon...
So relieving.
Damprye-- have you got your blood results back yet??
Greenslw-- interviews are weird when you know the people well, I hope you get it!

Afternoon ladies............................ well i wish i could bring some positive news on time ...well i went to pink..that was great.....but were having teriible issues with step daughter...and regarding a terrible incident on Saturday night and now it looks like she is moving ..long long story...and so my belly is getting extremely hard..with all the finanical presures and relationship pressures :redface: im feeling a bit down with everything going on...nothing seems to go right when im pregnant....

AFM- Swelling has gotten suddenly worse this arvo and is hurting my hands. Not sure if that is a reflection on bp possibly being higher this arvo or not. It is annoying me. I think its time to get a cheap machine. Also doesn't help my belly is hurting today cos I've had to wash my support band and not allowed to dry it in the dryer. I did have a good nap today though :D

Damprye - Are you drinking enough? I know it's sounds weird, but it's supposed to help drain the excessive fluids that you're storing at the moment.
Kbudgie - As my ob has been very positive, I tried to be positive as well and booked my 12 week and 19 week scan after my first ob appointment at 8 weeks. I also bought a pram that week. I started this cross stitch project for the baby room as soon as I knew I was pregnant, I had been saving this cross stitch for the last year, from before my missed m/c. I felt like if I didn't that this pregnancy wouldn't succeed. So far, so good. Still worried that something will happen with bub or that I won't make it to 40 weeks, but most days I try and stay positive. It's so hard isn't it. Hugs hun! You're almost halfway!
Greenslw - it's always hard to assess if they're going to give you the job or not. Maybe the fact they were so casual and didn't ask many questions was a good sign?! You'll find out soon enough. Fingers crossed!
AFM - Was extremely hungry today, don't know where I put this food. Have been having sore hips though :$ Still took my dog for 2 half an hour walks. Yesterday I had a really sore lower back, but hubby was so nice to give a bit of a back rub and he even heated a hot pack up for me. Now sitting back and relaxing for a bit.
