took me ages to believe it was really real so we bought nothing for a long time
Me? Anxious?? NahhhhYep, it took a long time before I was comfortable with believing bub was going to stick around. Now that I'm 25 weeks I wear clothes to show off my bump because I'm so proud

How are you feeling Desailly?
took me ages to believe it was really real so we bought nothing for a long time
I was funny about buying stuff - I kept wanting too (and did) but every time I got home I would wonder if I had tempted fate & I would stuff everything in the cupboard out of sight.
Such an emotional roller coaster we travel on![]()
Hi ladies just popping in to sat I have a boy William was born 28/10 at 9 lb 7 oz and 51 cm via cs. He is beautiful and super cruzie. I'm getting better although ds natural birth was much easier. Good luck on the rest of your journey xx.
Congratulations Greenslw, thank you for sharing your happy news![]()
Congratulations greenslw! Fantastic news. Enjoy this special time.
I haven't really engaged with being pg yet. Its so early and ive lost so many that being pg doesn't mean that much at this early stage. Made a dr appt early next week and will prob get hcg bloods done then so will see how things look.
I do not like how symptoms come and go..... Assuming this is normal as I have seen people write about it here, but it sucks![]()
not nauseous today, but I did wake up with a headache.
Sneaking in to say although it's great to have the common pg symptoms myturn, it's not unusual for them to come and go this early. I got nausea right on 6 weeks with 2 of my pg, with my first one I didn't have any, so it's still early days for you. Hang in there lovely, and envision your little bean snuggling in in there. Headache is good! lol. Sign of hormones going crazy in there![]()
I know its normal, I just want it to be working so badly this time and I am scared I am setting myself up for failure. Last time I believed it was going to work and it didn'tI always thought, if I could just GET pregnant.... And clearly that wasn't all that needed to happen. Sigh. I have so much to do today and all I want to do is sleep until the US on Friday.
Myturn if you need proof that how you are feeling is normal please feel free to read back through my posts & follow my neurotic start to this pregnancy - I nearly drove DP, my GP & myself crazy with all the "what if's" Instead of being grateful for my lack of symptoms I was petrified it was a bad omen. I constantly second guessed myself & was always reading up on google to compare my symptoms with others. Eventually the fear passed but all it takes is a day of bub being quiet & I start to worry.
We can all relate to how you're feeling xxx
Thanks ticktoc, it did help to read over them. I am sure there is more anxiety to come. Generally I'm feeling okay about this pregnancy, but it's been 4 years since we started TTC, and I am getting old. I just want it so bad!!
I had no symptoms and here I am almost 33 weeks. I got to s point where I decided I am doing all I should and can do what will be will be. I am still scared deep down but now that the alien inside me moves and kicks it is more reassuring. It took a long time before I felt anything though Thanks to the anterior placenta.
I should practice what I preachit's exactly the same thing I say to others when they worry. I can't do anything about whatever is going to happen, so I might as well just let it be. Going to get off the iPad and do something constructive

Good advice myturn! Symptoms come and go and everyone's different so don't worry too much.
Having said that I've had enough pregnancies now to know how my body reacts and usually know when I should start to worry. Thankfully so far things seem pretty normal for me this time. If anything my symptoms seem to be coming on stronger and earlier than usual so hoping that's a good sign!
Hey girlsI just thought I wld pop in here, I am feeling quite anxious but dont want to bring my bb group down with my worries!
I dont have any real reason to be anxious this time... everything has been perfect from the start... I guess once uve had a few miscarriages the fear never leaves u though![]()
I am currently 15 weeks but have measured a week ahead from 9 weeks so bub is very healthy. Im not certain of my dates as I never got af after my d&c at 10.5 weeks (baby had died a couple days beforehand) im just going off early dating scan result.
The last 6 months have been a big rollercoaster ride.. pretty much having to do the first trimester twice straight after each other was a killer! But im here now and survived it!I just wish I cld relax now and be positive!
Im not seeing my ob. til the end of the month now and im dreading the big wait! I do have a doppler and can find babies heartbeat easily enough but the few seconds it takes to find it really stresses me out so I try and limit myself to one check a week... and during business hrs incase I need to go and see ob. for reassurance!
My placenta is anterior (sadly!) so im guessing I wont feel baby move for another few weeks.. it hasnt stopped me from obsessing about it though and constantly laying there waiting to get a sign that bubs is doing well.. I cant wait to get those first kicks!
I have a 2.5 year old DD so am already so blessed but am really looking forward to adding to our family... I just dont think ive let myself believe its going to happen yet.. its horrible to be feeling so negative!![]()
Thankyou for reading this big all about me post, looking forward to getting to know u all. xx
welcome reet - it is nice to have others who understand the added stress that TTC after MC/loss brings with it. Even with all the poor results I had the first time I was pregnant - it was a really different level of stress than I feel this time.
So nice to hear that things are looking good for you though xox
welcome reet. it sucks to have anterior placenta when you have been through mc, I should know! I started getting vague movement which left me unsure but now I am getting a lot, it just takes longer to feel it with the placenta in the way. I am sure we all know what you are going through xx
Welcome reetAnother anterior placenta over here - my first definite movement was at 19+3 & I got such a surprise that I had tears in my eyes. It was a beautiful feeling after all the stress & worry.
