Greenslw Happy birthday hon, hope you had a fantastic day

Sunny I just want to say that it's so nice to see your name more often, I've missed you my friend

Tashybabe I hope you get those results tomorrow and the progesterone injections work.

I got my results back today, my HCG was 481 and that blood was taken at 4 weeks. It is on the low side but I noticed that my old HCG test results were done through a different pathology company and their 'normal reference ranges' are very different from one another. For example one company says that the lower end of the range for 4 weeks is 40, median is 350 and upper is 2000, yet the other says for 3-4 weeks the range is 500-6000 so going by that my HCG is on the lower side... You'd think that they would have a 'standard' within the industry... Anyway now I am worried, because last time my HCG was 840 at 4 weeks 4 days and I still lost that one. I think I will continue to worry even though I know HCG goes up quickly and every pg is different etc etc My progesterone was 83.3, is that normal? and my iron is a bit low...

Anyway I'm going to eat my green curry for dinner and watch a movie with dh and enjoy the last night of my holidays.

I just don't know what to think my head feels so full. On the one hand I know I should be glad to know at that IUI can work for us and that at least I was not further along so I am expecting the loss will just be like a heavier period. On the other hand I am just totally heart broken and in awe of women who go through this time and again and keep on trying. When I feel like this it is so hard to dredge up enough hope to believe I will one day have a baby.

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and words. I really hope I'll be back here again soon.

Cherished- my book says hCG at 4 weeks should be between 5-426 it seems to mostly depend on how long the egg took to implant so I think yours is great. Your progesterone is good too.

A loss is a loss regardless Sunbeam, so PLEASE DON'T feel like you should be grateful for not being further along. What you want for your child is to give your pure and beautiful love. You have hopes and dreams for your child, and unfortunatly its not as straightforward or simple for everyone to become a mother. Im happy you have optimism for the future, its a powerful and shifting thing in one's life, don't lose it. Knowing of this side to life makes me ever so grateful for what I still have.

Thanks Cherished Ive always been lurking, but never posting. Is that cyber weird?? Im so keen to hear how other's are going that I forget to include/talk about myself! Im pretty rude actually for that I think! The etc etc part of your post about knowing not to worry means I dont even have to say it Relax. As long as those numbers increase (NOT necessarily doubled) then im confident she'll stick (yes, I do believe PINK for you).

Hello to everyone else!! I hope you're all well and happy

    Sunbeam so sorry

tashybabe hope tomorrow bring great news

Cherished I think it's more on the way the numbers double rather than the start point. When is your next test.

Thanks for all your birthday wishes. Today was nice to be with family and be a little spoinlt.

OMG I"m so sore. My belly feels like it's going to open up from my belly button. I rang my manager and I'm now finishing work this week, I can hardly cope with pottering around home let alone focusing. Scary when you body is doing what ever it wants with no say from me.........

So work tomorrow and wednesday then a meeting thursday then NOTHING. hope bubba waits that long I need rest.

Smallfryplus funn a week ago I was so pround that my ob said I can go a week over NOW I'm happy for early but will wait. I'm sure when I"m not at work anymore I"ll feel alot better. Just need to put a rock on my foot to make me sit down. My nursary is all done. Just waiting on the basinett (this thursday) and I"m sorted. It's such a nice feeling how bout yours?

How are you feeling Cherished and MIlly?

Megsmum no need to rub it in?

ATM two days to go. I'm so happy about no more work now I've made the choice. I slept for two hours last night up for three then had another three, I actually feel ok. Wonder if this is the pattern I'll need to get used to?

sunbeam, greenslw & Megsmum thanks for the HCG & progesterone advice, I felt much better reading it a couple of days ago but haven't had time to reply. My OB also called to tell me that it looks like a strong pregnancy from the test results

Sunbeam if you are still around I hope you are ok hon

Greenslw good to hear you are finishing up work!

I am at work today, the 2nd day back and I already want to finish up! my boss does my head in I am looking working from home, any ideas?

AFM I called the x-ray place yesterday to ask how much the neucal scan costs and they told me $110 which is fine and then I asked them when is the earliest they can really tell what gender the bub is and they said that at that 12 week neucal scan you can usually tell if the bub doesn't have their back to the scan! I am totally excited to find out that soon (if possible) has anyone else heard of finding out that early?

cherished - that's probably as early as you can find out. I haven't heard of anyone finding out at that scan though. I think that before that they can't tell cos everything looks the same on boys and girls. Would be a shame if they got a different result from the 19 week scan though!! Can certainly understand the hurry to find out though, I was desperate to know! Oh, and I'm really happy to hear that your ob has said this is a strong pregnancy. It's about time for you!!
Do you still get medicare rebate on the neucal scan?
As for work from home... sheeesh, I wish I had ideas!! I did a little bit of mystery shopping for the company my sister works for a little while ago. That was so much fun. It was all phone work so I did it from home. Other than that... yeah, I'm out but open to ideas!

greenslw -good news about finishing up work early. I think that is a very good idea. So you'd only have one more day now yes? That is excellent!

Ah the fun of it all. I'm staring down the barrel at some very hot weather and a substandard aircon system. It works for the first couple days but then, because it's evaporative, just makes the house muggy so I'll have to get the small unit in the lounge going after that cos we have 5 days coming up of up to 38 degrees. I swear, next time I get pregnant I'm going to plan it a heck of a lot better so that I'm not due at the end of summer!!! If there's a month that will put me due any time from mid december to end of march, I'm not TTC!!!!

hi all. Just a quick update - we went to the RWH this morning. Saw an OB who told me to stop worrying about progesterone levels and we had a scan. Saw bub, measuring 7wks, with a heartrate of 134bpm. Was so relieved. I realise I've been reliving the last pregnancy, terrified it will end the same way. I know we're not out of the woods yet (we saw a hb last time and bub still died), but trying to focus on the positives.

    I hope you're all well

    Hi Ladies,

Sunbeam - if you are still here lurking, how are you doing? I just wanted to let you know I'm thinking of you \h

Greenslw - yay to finishing work!!

Tashybabe - fantastic news!! I am keeping everything crossed for you!!

AFM - Well, I FINALLY got in to see GP -
BT result HCG 1163 at 4w6d - Dr said that was good - is it ladies?

And I FINALLY got to speak to FS, and FS wants me to have an early dating scan at 8w just to make sure all is well, but then I don't get an appt with her to discuss it untill 10&1/2 weeks Not quite sure what she'll do if the scan shows something, and it's still 3 weeks away. Sorry, just feeling a bit nervous and scared.

Cherished I'm glad you feel more positive that really helps in the early months. I hope bubs is the right side up for you. Mine wasn't but I didn't want to know anyways.

smallfry I hear you on the heat. My aircon works for the loungeroom but that's it, no cool bedroom, but I do have a comphy chair to sloth on. I'm also thinking a winter bubba would be nice.

tashybabe glad you are feeling positive too

Milly mine was around that at 4 weeks so yep it's good. all the waiting is horrible, keep busy and make sure you do things you love to do.

ATM I"M ON LEAVE! Baby is 3/5 engaged! and even if nobody else saw it baby has dropped. I felt a bump and then my bump was about 2inches lower. Some of the pain in my sides left too, although I think that's the relief of finishing work.

Saw my OB yesterday and she "with a huge smile" said "baby will be born before easter" not the right time for humor lady. I think the 20th DSS thinks the 24th and DH thinks the 26th so we'll see. I just want a couple of days at home after that don't really mind.

My nursary is now finaly a nursary, to a guest room. I had it all clean then we had a friend stay now it's all clean again and NOBODY else is going in. clean freak alert.

Have a great day ladies hope you can stay cool. 39C today and 41 tomorrow

Greenslw sounds like you are all sorted hon

Milly that HCG is great! and if the fs finds anything wrong I'm sure she wont leave it that long to see you again, having said that I'm sure everything will be fine

tashybabe how lovely to see a heartbeat and to be told not to worry. Enjoy your pregnancy hon

Smallfry you don't get any medicare rebate for the neucal scan but I guess it would still go towards your saftey net?

AFM I am sore Can't belive how sore I am and I'm so early into my pregnnacy! And I know it will only get worse!!! I am not complaining because I have it all pretty easy so I know I will be ok, I am just saying that I am suprised at how sore I am already Last night my back was killing me and I got home and got on the massage chair, the night before I had a bath causes it was sore then too (sigh) but I'm great apart from the physical stuff... even felt a bit sick this morning

Cherished - just wanted to say regarding your HCG, mine was on the low side as well for my early blood test - then before you knew it it started skyrocketing! I was so happy to read your bfp announcement in the ttc thread, you were always such an inspiration and helpful during my (thankfully) short time there.

Hi ladies, some of you I know from the ttc thread a while ago...I hadn't posted in here cause nearly everyone in here when I first got my bfp was about to have thier little bundles lol.

I still feel like a fraud sometimes, like I must be walking around with a pillow under my dress lol, although I feel so much movement I know it is all for real. I'm speechless with how awesome it all is - I am truly loving this so much...I have the most amazing DH who has always NEVER wanted kids but wanted me happy so said lets do it - mind you, I think he is definately getting into it.
We havent found out if its a boy or girl...i was thinking boy but for some reason today I am certain its a girl
Went shopping yesterday and bought bassinette sheets and a few little baby things - made me feel like its a ll a bit more real.DH asks what we really need...if its a boy surely it just needs a few singlets and ruggers lol...men!

    to all!
