Reet - I always get leg cramping early on and it continues right through. I was told magnesium too - but was recommended to go to the health shop. So I did and the person checked and said only one brand they carried was ok for use during pregnancy!

Angel - your darling girl is on her way. 1cm dilated and 70% effaced... go you god thing. Hugs for a speedy delivery... and a blissful baby moon. Can't wait to hear your good news.

Damprye and Clairesmummy - good news on those scans.

Twelve weeks tomorrow for me. Still not ready to share with the world yet.. Can't see me being ready for a long time but, as my belly is already giving away the secret, I am going to have to announce it soon! I have a friend who announced her pregnancy at 24 weeks... How I'd love to hold onto such a special secret for so long!
12 weeks thats amazing! We didnt tell anyone til after the 20week scan, i think i was 21 weeks. There were people that said that they had started to guess but no one said anything to me Made it a lovely quick pregnancy for everyone including our kids, which was one of the reasons to hold off telling. Even the 18weeks the kids knew for was far too long of a 6 and 4 yr old hehe!!!

ck - I totally understand your anxieties. It's ok to have a cry here and there if you need to, better out than in, I say. Don't feel guilty about feeling worried, it's natural and that will ease the further along you get.

Kristen - Thanks hun I am feeling a bit better today, DP seems to have snapped out of his funk and I haven't spoken to mum so I have nothing to complain about there lol. Good for you sticking with your exercise program, it'll do you a world of good! Your symptoms all sound promising too. When do you have your first scan??

Clairesmummy - Well until you can have faith in your abilities, I'll keep cheering you on. I feel positive about this pg for you too, your HCG seems really good and I can't wait to hear about your scan. Of course you'll be nervous, but that's totally natural after all it's taken to get this far. Yay for clomid!

Mildez - I hope the BH settles down a bit for you, it must have been really un-nerving!

Alish - FX those pains are stretching ligaments etc. I felt pretty crampy early on too so it seems fairly normal to me. Hang in there

Kellie - LOL men, huh? You've got it tougher than me, even. At least I don't have a toddler to run around after and part time work too! I've already warned my DP that the x-box is going to be a thing of the past once bubby arrives. Unless of course it's ok for me to hang out on the computer for hours on end while he entertains the baby.... hehe.

Angelfish - Argh, scary! Good to know all is ok and bubby is head down. I too get nervous having my BP taken, my doctor says not to worry that it's probably just nerves. I'm sorry your DP is so mean to you about petty things........... just ignore him. Bedrest is BEDREST. Not 'rest but make sure your man has someone look after him like he's a child'.

Ferrals - I am insanely jealous of the foot-rubs hehe. Don't get me wrong, DP is usually very considerate and lovely to me........ I think he was just having a crap week. Things at work have settled down a bit and he came home yesterday and said the house looked really clean, which to me means: "I'm sorry, I was a bastard." LOL. I hope the move goes well for you, it must be a tad stressful doing it all so late in your pg. We've flip-flopped over the idea of trying to move beforehand but I just don't think it's possible. Esp. if we have to break a lease to do so. Enjoy your days off!

Melster - Get yourself some Argan oil for your hair. Great stuff, and cures the 'straw' feeling. A good leave in conditioner is also a must Good for you, choosing to try vaginal before you commit to a c-sect. Yay for hearing a hb too!!

Damprye - Hooray for a great scan result!

Stoked - Yay 12 weeks!!!!! Congrats on the milestone. Let's get together and whinge about men in general... haaha. I actually had a friend at work who didn't announce her pg at all. I knew, mostly because I was pg too and noticed her wardrobe choices etc.... but she never made an official announcement. She just went about her business as usual, until her belly got so big everyone just knew.

Bec - Oh hun I am so sorry to hear your sad news.

AFM - Went to the Dr for my 32 week appointment (a little late but I had to wait for BT results). Unfortunately I have Gestational Diabetes. *huge sigh* Next week I'm off to the hospital to see the dietician and endocrinologist (sp?) I don't even know what the last one is............ confusing! Anyway Dr said about 1 in 100 women will develop GD, and I'm that one. He said he's never had so many highlighted results on a pg record.. lol. I do like to be colourful, but geez. On the up side though, my BP is 110/70 instead of the usual 150/70 so he said I must have traded in the BP issue for the GD. In other slightly more entertaining news, bubby has his/her bum poked out, which I thought was pretty cute. LOL and the dog just started snoring like a little pig sleeping next to me on the lounge. Hilarious.

Things with DP are much better, he's back in his normal groove, being silly and lovely and not complaining about stupid things. As usual I was right to just ignore it rather than start a big 'thing' over it. I hope everyone is well and belly rubs to all!

Thanks ladies, I'm trying to keep my chin up about it all. I also told myself there's only 7ish weeks to go so I should be able to stick to the diet for that long. I'm going to have some MAJOR withdrawals though...................... ughhhh. I've been craving sweets so this will be tough.

Forshelby - oh dear about GD - but like you said only 7 weeks, you can do it! An endocrinologist deals with hormones and how they are made, what levels and how they interact with the rest of the body. So diabetics will often see an endo to make sure their levels are ok and the insulin can be adjusted accordingly. I saw one just yesterday about management of my PCOS ( FSH and LSH levels and ratios esp) . My friend has seen one for a condition for Congential Adrenal Hyperplasia (a genetic issue that causes too much of some of the male hormones - not so good if TTC). The one I saw took my weight and height and calculated BMI - I would guess they might do that for you too. Glad your BP is down. Glad DP has seen the light.

Ferrals - that is so cute about your mum and the porta cot.. Congrats on 30 weeks too. YAY!

I am going for a glucose tolerance test tomorrow - the 2 hour one. One good bit of news, apparently it's rare to feel sick if not pregnant, something about the glucose load during pregnancy makes people feel sick. So at least I am not to worried about it all now. But just 2 hours of my life I will never get back having to sit in their waiting room.

Have a good weekend - belly rubs.

Bec I am so sorry to hear about your loss. Feel free to PM me if you ever want some info/answes on ttc with 1 tube and ectopic pregnancy/pregnancy after EP. My last loss was also ectopic. They found the tube was sick with the surgery to remove it and bub which had also caused my miscarriages before it and trouble falling pregnant to start with. I don't know the right words to help you at this time but just wanted to add I hope like me you now have an answer to why you have lost your precious bubs and next time you get pregnant results in your healthy take home bubba.

    Hi ladies,
I know I've only been in few times, but I just wanted to let you all know I lost the baby. Pip was ectopic in the left tube, and I underwent surgery to remove left tube and pregnancy on Wednesday night. I'm feeling pretty shocking both emotionally and physically, but I'll get through it.

    Good luck with everything.

Bec~ I am so sorry to hear your news hun, sending you some massive hugs darl and please know you are in my thoughts, wish I could make it all better for you.

Stoked~ A huge congrats on reaching your 12week mark, awesome news darl and where has that time gone for you it just seemed to have flown past, hope it goes that quick for me...lol......can't wait to hear all about your scan on Monday darl, good luck hun and sit back and enjoy hearing that adorable HB of your little bub.

Forshelby~ You poor darling being diagnosed with GD, I so know how you feel. I had GD with my DD and ob tells me yesterday be prepared to have GD again. Mine was all diet controlled which was great, at first I was like OMG how will I get by with this diet rubbish but it was pretty darn easy really especially when I hated the thought of having to needle myself or take tablets for it the diet came really easy...lol....I am a huge sook though. Don't stress about it darl you will get some great advice and if I can do it darl you will have no problem at all I am sure of it. And thank you for cheering me on hun, you are truly my strength giver and I love yah for it. xox.

AFM~ Ok so I had my first OB appointment yesterday and it was a very interesting appointment for me, he checked my belly and did my blood pressure then he decided to do a scan for me. Ok so he did the dildo scan and he found a little wee tiny little thing, he said to me you are definately pregnant but I'm not measuring at 6weeks like my GP says I am he tells me bub is only measuring at 4+ weeks so I told him I am certain that I O'd on Xmas day and then he says ah that makes sense then, he tried his hardest to zoom in on bub as close as possible as he tells me I can't say I can defiantely see it but I am pretty sure I can see a flutter there. So here's hoping he is right so I am off for another appointment with him in just over 3 weeks time for another scan with him. So my question is if I am only 4-5weeks PG is it a good sign that my HCG level at 3-4weeks was at 1410? Feeling a little worried at the moment and I know I shouldn't be I haven't had any spotting this time which is a huge relief and I have another 20-30 days to go where I started bleeding in my first MC.

Clairesmummy, my first scan was exactly the same.. I was supposed to be 6 weeks he said I was measuring 4.5. So I went back in two weeks and, sure enough, I measured 8 weeks. So please don't worry yourself. Sometimes things just don't add up or make sense xxx

Clairemummy: sounds perfectly normal that you are worried and probably nothing is going to make you feel better until you see that scan in 3 weeks time. But like Stoked said the scans can be worng! I had a scan with Miss Molly at almost 6 weeks to check for ectopic and it measured a lot less and they could see nothing moving, then at the 8 week scan, bam, 8 week baby happily bouncing around! Longest 2 weeks of my life!

Clairesmummy there is always something to worry about isn't there? Did your ob do a vaginal scan? I had my first scan at 4.5weeks (for pain and expected ectopic pregnancy) and they saw the beginning of a gestational sac. The week later (5.5wks) they did another scan for more pain and my history with ectopic and the saw much the same thing (beginning of a gestational sac) and told me I'd be about 4weeks pregnant when I was atleast 1.5weeks further along. My Ob then did a scan at 6weeks and saw bubs fluttering heart measuring spot on for my dates. I only just read my official first scan report a week ago and at my first scan at 4.5weeks they commented on a gestational sac measuring 5weeks (no fetal pole seen at that stage) Although at the time of the scan the sonographer told me although she thought it was a gestational sac she still would say its a pregnancy of unknown location (meaning they still didn't rule out ectopic pregnancy) Its also very rare to see a HB under 5wks5days so if your Dr thinks he saw something fluttering then sounds like your exactly where you think you should be. Also remember an Obstetrician is not a radiologist and no way near as experienced as one or even a sonographer for that matter. Everything sounds perfect to me although I too would freakout if it was me. I've been freaking out about everything.

Thank you Stoked, Tegam and Mildez your words and advice is very greatly appreciated. I have booked in for my dating scan on the 31st of Jan. my Ob told me to not worry about the scan and just go back to him in a months time which will be the 14th Feb. Now I don't know if I should ring and cancel the Ultra sound and just go into my OB on the 14th or should I keep my scan appointment on the 31st of this month and go to both of them. Gee bub aint even close to being born yet and so many decisions I have to make I feel like screaming....lol.....
