I stuck it out til past 7 weeks for my scan too, saw this little prawny thing and its little heartbeat and had a cry, but to be honest, it didn't really do that much to reassure me. It wasn't til I got to the 12 week scan that I started to believe it, and I didn't really get excited until the 20 week scan.

Could not have said that any better!

Kellbell So good to see you in here!!! I knew it was your turn as well! Can't wait till all the others join us over here Personally, I would wait till 7+ weeks. The stress of seeing no HB again on my first U/S left me in tears and wasn't worth it for me. Then again, the elation of seeing that HB at 7.5 weeks after convincing myself there wouldn't be one was so amazing I couldn't stop crying lol

Audax I'm jealous of your shorts and singlets lol. You will definitely need more than that down here. Today I had a shirt, jumper and a woollen coat and I was still cold with that icy wind blowing

just popping in, have my 19 week scan this afternoon so spending the day watching movies with DH (he's not feeling well and it was good timing to take a day off) in order to not stress. Arrghh, when will scans get fun?

Audax - welcome to Melbourne and this beautiful chilly wind. How much exercise to do manage to do? 98 days to go, but not counting. thanks for sharing your tiredness symptoms. I'm guessing now that I'd need extra rest during that time, I so overestimated my energy level for the 1st trimester.

Kellbell - Congrats congrats. You definitely not crashing, chat when you feel comfy. Cute little preg. ticker. I know I'd wait for little heart beat if you can wait that long, that was so reassuring to me. The technical side of our 6 week 5 day scan ended up being pretty hopeless, the doc. was running out of gel and didn't get a clear pic and couldn't even measure the crown rump length, the pic was so blurry. I didn't care about all that, we had a tickity boo heart beat, 124b/min.

Coddy - yeah for the dentist.

Dory - to me your our leader, 35 weeks and 4 days!! Wow, that sounds so far away. A bit more baking to go, but like Tegam's little one, sounds like you are in good territory.

MsKara - sometimes we can't win. Tears which ever way we go. Sooo crazy. HOpe you not feeling so puky today.

Kit - movies sound like a great idea. Might head up to VideoEzy myself. any recommendations. I like vampire movies. GL with your scan today.

AFM- I'm really proud of myself. Chatted with the bosses yesterday. I'm going to work 2 days per week until maternity leave kicks in as one day's work and it knocks me around so much. Nausea goes up, can't slepp as well and generally increase in exhaustion from being on my feet for 8 hours. And I found out 18weeks parental leave (from the government) occurs on top of my 10 weeks leave from my employer. Yeeaah 2.30pm scan today, sssooooooo curious. Defnitely got DH with me. Hanging out for a connection, just really haven't done the bonding thing yet. Totally not looking forward to the full bladder, reaaaally do they have to make you do that? They need some new technology, I'm just thinking that's going to be uncomfortable. I'm sure I only pee about 100mls each time I go at the moment, I've been told I have to have 3-4 cups..... come on.

Have a lovely scan, note not to put too much on yourself. The bonding thing didnt happen for me til this week at the 20week scan!

Just a quick one again, cos I'm exhausted! DH and I are expecting a perfectly healthy baby BOY! We bought him a super cute black romper suit with white stars on it, and DH is very excited about all the monkey climbing and tiger pouncing and bad guy hunting in his future Very happy and very relieved!

Well, after a 3 day Migrane, I have emerged from the dead!!!! My first voyage to A+E for a maxalon inj in the Butt and panadol didn't even touch the sides, OMG I thaught I was going to die. (First ever Migrane)

Dory sweet hows your Kitty going? Mine survived their desexing, my poor little girl has a couple of sutures that need to be removed next week, and she has a bald tummy! My ginger Boy woke up angry, seriouse! We had to seperate the 2 cats for 24hrs because my boy woke up trying to kill his sister, he wen't mad from the anasthetic, but is back to his usual self putting paw prints on the bonne of my car GGGRRRR!!!
I bet you are o happy to have yours home!

Timeforafamily how did your scan go!?!? I was told I needed a full bladder, then had to 'Half empty it' then fully empty it for the scan, so just depends I guess.

Audax, so jealouse about the sun part, have frozen my butt off here in miserable Victoria, wind and sideways rain for 4 days, I wan't summer back! Haven't been down the river for ages, my doggs are hating me for it, oh, wen't looking for the best in the world yabbie spot the other day though and thaught of you!!! ( i love catching yabbies but I don't eat them, so by the time the yabbies come out here, you will have had your bubba so I will send you my share in the mail!) Might stink a bit by the time they get to you, ohwell
Had a friend we called Yabbie for years, she thaught it was a pet name for her, she had no idea it meant 'tail full of meat, head full of s**t LOL!!!!

Murraycod - I wonder what brought on your migraine. That's so unfair.

Kit - congrats on your scan. I bet Dad's just too, too involved now, aren't they just so proud of themselves.

Tegam - My bladder wasn't that bad in the end, and I knew there must be a better way.

AFM - well 12 week scan went really well, yes definitely bonded. Had to stop crying and laughing so the sinographer could continue. Just was so surprised to see a little 'IncuBubs' in there. DH calls me the incubator. So have had lots of belly rubs and belly kisses from DH since the scan.
After we calmed down from the initial shock of seeing a BABY in there, no just a blob, we were then provided with some entertainment from IncuBubs with a full roll over, Wow at 12 weeks. more tears, just a hopeless mess. The guy showed us the cross section of the stomach and said 'Looks good, shows that the 'fetus' is swallowing', what??? Wow, again at 12 weeks, go figure! little one you little cutey. And the spooky 3D image, no fat at all.

I know what you mean about seeing so much at 12weeks. I remember thinking, wow i cant believe its a baby! I think the US guy thought i was weird, but i had had scans early say 6 weeks before and then 20, never at that 12 week mark!

Murraycod your post made me post lol its actually only the 2nd time I have stalked so not bad. The first was a few days ago to see if anyone was in here super early like myself. I think by my dates I am 6wks1day today. We had a scan last Tuesday that showed the fetal pole measuring .33mm or maybe cms. The FS put me as been 6wks then but the CRL definately wasn't as big as a 6wk one so I am still going by my dates. LMP put me at 6wks the date of the scan. And no HB which I guess is normal considering I think I was about 5wks3/4days at the time. FS said I can have a scan at 12weeks so it feels like a very very long time away. I saw him basically to confirm this pregnancy wasn't ectopic so he see's no reason now that is confirmed its not for me to have another before the 12weeks. I am just so anxious to find out this pregnancy will progress and am really worried I'll have that scan at 12weeks to find out emby has stopped growing with no HB. I am terrified actually. Although its so early I already feel we have come so far just getting pregnant and then it not been ectopic. If something happens I think I'll honestly just give up. So right not I am abit of a mess. I didn't expect to be so anxious and thats why my posts have reduced on the forum as frankly I am ashamed of how I feel. I know some of the other lovely ladies in the LTTTC threads would give an arm or a leg to be in this position and all I can do is panick as my ms isn't bad enough or my boobs dont hurt as much as yesterday etc. Its such a mind game for me at the moment.

Kit Congratulations on finding out your having a lovely little boy. Woohoo. And a huge Congratulations to everyone else.

Murray migraines can be cruel. I had my 1st one when I was pregnant 4yrs ago. It was so bad my speech was slurred, couldn't walk without running into things it was horrendous. I hope its passed completely and doesn't come back. Since then I have had a number of them and there nasty nasty things.

The 12week scans are amazing. You can see so much. It feels like a lifetime away for me lol. Half way there (from LMP)

Soooooooooooooooooooooooo tired i had to start work at 6am and it has knocked me for a six i prefer the night shift i can handle them better.

Murrycod-good to see you are still around i feel great except so freaking tired and i am still suspicious if there is another bub in my tummy my uterus feels about the 12-14 week size and i have had enough pregnancies to know i have never felt the top of it before 12 weeks and it is already the size of a rockmelon and i am only comming up to 9 weeks i guess i will have to wait and see at least i know bub is growing in there.

Timeforafamily-i use to love my 12 weeks scans until Abbi's one devastated me now i am terrified of this next one i hope i leave mine as happy as you did yours they are amazing to see if you get a good u/s tech the one i had with Abbi at the fetal medicine unit could look in her mouth and up her nose at 18 weeks it blew us away even though the outcome was bad DH and i have some beautiful memories of Abbi sucking on her toes and holding her feet in her hands soooooooooooooo cute.

Mildez-come join us no one knows how it will turn out i am here and might only have a little over 3 weeks left to discuss my pregnancy but what better place to be to talk to the girls about our fears and dreams.

I dont know what else to say i am getting closer to our cvs and i am starting to feel this will go bad i have had many dreams and none of them have our baby in it everyone around me is pregnant but not me and i also dreamt of walking out of the fetal medicine unit in tears with my mum and neal holding me god i hope i havnt dreamt the future.

I had ZERO symptoms other than major strong AF cramping untill I was 9 weeks, once the cramping passed, i was just a little more tired than normal. So that made me worry so much more, I begged to be sick every morning, I can't beleive I wished sore boobs and morning sickness on myself!!! Never got it though, I must thaught, the more I feel sick the more pregnant I would be, wasn't the case!!!! I still don't really beleive it to this day LOL !
Anyways, I fully understand the fears of the huge gap BW 6wk scan and the 12wk one, just chat away oin here with us and hopefullt time goes by a little quicker for you, or we can atleast make you smile at our foul nature we bring long with us (pregnancy porn is Ferrals specialty) (Audax only encourages her more so she is just as bad in my books!!)LMAO (mabey I can relate..........only a tiny bit though!!!)

Ferrals I can't beleive how time has gone so fast for you, I pray every night that your CVS result is perfectly normal, oh and as for dreams, I have dreamt 2 nights in the past week that I have been out surfing and have been bitten on the legg by a HUGE shark, considering I live 6 hours to the closest shoreline of Australia, don't think it will happen any time soon. I guess your dream is just your mind sifting through your thaughts, conciouse or not, but minds deal with things their own way when we sleep XXXX
