Damp it's too long now chick, just think of how quick your labour should be seeing as your almost half way there

CM that's fantastic news, sounds like you've got yourself one very sticky baby in there

Damp - at least you're able to do your dilating and effacing without painful labour, lol. Hopefully you get to 8cm then start having contractions Sending you labour vibes!

CM - that does sound good (except for the MS and sickness stuff). Glad your bubs is doing well. FWIW, the steroids (natural ones) and your immune system can send your metabolism strange and cause an increase in blood glucose (because it's trying to give you plenty of energy for healing). I wouldn't be too worried about them unless they're really high, but I'm sure your GP will sort that out anyway. It's a pity you're so sick while you're pregnant - you can't even take the good stuff Take care of yourself - and I hope there's someone treating you with kid gloves!

angel - how did your scan go today? It was today right?

All is well here - still boring. I seem to have got to DS's conjunctivitis early, he's just a little bit red today, not too gunky. Thank goodness - and he's a great little patient, I don't think many adult patients I've looked after have been this tolerant with eye toilets!

    Hi Ladies

Just a quick question for you all, I had an ultrasound last Friday and it showed a healthy bub 7weeks 4 days, but it also showed a bruise/bleed next to the placenta. On Monday I started to have some brown stained cm (TMI sorry!) and has been happening all week. Went to Drs and did a hcg test wednesday and apparently my levels have dropped slightly since Friday. However in the mean time my Dr rang a specialist re my ultrasound report and he said he would not be worried about my cm colour and not even worry about checking my hcg levels, to tell me not to worry and it sounds fine. I had another test today but have to wait until Monday for those results and another ultra sound. So my question is has anyone had lower than normal hcg results and had a normal pregnancy? Waiting until Monday is going to kill me!!
Much love to you all and will do some personals at another time when I am not so stressed out!!!
    Love Trace.

Hi EJ - remember between 8-12 weeks HCG levels tend to plateau (especially if they were quite high). Ultrasounds at this stage are much more reliable - I'd be asking for another u/s, just to check, that's the definitive! If you've got the small bleed near the placenta, the brown blood is likely to be that, but I'd be wanting another scan anyway, because I'm paranoid There is no harm to bubs to have another scan soon. Good luck!!

I agree with WB at 8wks levels tend to decline slightly & then plateau, as for the bleed it's also normal to spot if you have a bruise/bleed.
The fact it was brown is good as it means old blood.

All the best for Monday x

duh - you already said you were having another u/s. I even read that, just forgot. I blame hormones! But I'm with Cheshire anyway. It's "only" a couple more days, and old blood is good blood Try to get some relaxation over the weekend! Big

    Hi Ladies
Looks like I wont be in your group anymore, have had a massive bleed this weekend and terrible cramping.
Thank you for all of your advice and support. Hope to see you in here one day in the not too distant future, however I doubt that I will be TTC again for a while. Just too heartbroken at the moment.
Much love and best wishes to you all

EmilyJames- So sorry to hear that

    Angelfish- Congratulations hun

WBM- The dilating and effacing have been painfull. Because of the preterm labour, I got the contractions to go with it and have had an irritable uterus ever since, although everything has calmed down since the first s&s which wasn't painful but "only" got me an extra 0.5cm. I wish it never hurt lol. Although I can definately see how you read it that way after rereading my last post lol. And thanks for the labour vibes, hopefully they'll work Glad you caught the conjunctivitis early, that can get nasty otherwise.

Cheshire- I'm hoping to gosh it does go fast once things get going again lol.

CM- Glad to hear your levels are going so well. Can't wait to see a pic after your scan *hint hint* lol

AFM- Had my baby shower today which went great so I am so relieved after the absolutely horrid one I had with DS.
I can't feel any of bub's head above my pelvis anymore, just shoulders lol, but still not coming yet, bub is far to active lol.

Dampyre- You are so close!!! I cant wait to read your birth announcement and hear what he/she is!

EmilyJames- I am so so sorry

AFM- I am still feeling movements on both sides of my stomach..which is really weirding me out because I know the baby is totally not big enough to reach both sides of my complete stomach yet..at the same time

Emily i'm really sorry to hear that

Jess no idea, they are ready checked for twins didn't they? Maybe you just have a long baby.

Damp, saw your having more contractions, hope things have progressed for you & your holding your little one

    Angelfish congrats.

Nothing happening here, time seems to be going quickly & i really need to start getting things so i'm not running/waddling around last minute.

Unfortunatly the contractions have all but gone. I keep getting really frustrated by DS and XDP and each time I crack it, things seem to calm down more. Cannot wait till DS is in daycare, then all I have to do is drop him off at my Nan's tonight and don't see him again till tomorrow arvo. And XDP is leaving today. Then I just have to deal with other XDP tomorrow night after my second S&S.

    Woohoo, huge congrats to Possum

I wonder how Stoked is doing.

Cheshire- Yup, get my date tomorrow. I'm going to request gels Thursday and induction Friday. Works best for one of my support people (she works and has 4kids) and the other one is avail any time. If not, then it'll still be a week or less before bub is here.
