    Hi ladies!

Scan went really well. One definite little sack and fetal pole and possibly another! It was just the u/s thing at my FS's office so I'm booked in for one at the proper Melbourne IVF ultrasound place next wednesday to see heartbeat and check how many babies are in there! I'm still just taking it one step at a time, and trying to stay calm, but it was nice to get good news for a change!
How's this for amazing?! I went to show my sister the u/s photo and she had just POAS and she's pregnant too! We're a week and a half apart! I'm so excited to be sharing this journey with her.

Melstar- the epi is always there if you need it, but I think every labour is different so take it as it comes. It's an overwhelming experience (well mine was), no matter if it's your first or fifth. It will work out

WBM- after all my issues, I know this will be my LAST!!! But when others have babies I always want one too!

Hi to everyone else! I forgot to write down what was on the last page, so I'll do more persies later!

T-hopes: so nice to hear from you. Not sure how you got on BB from hospital but glad you did. Wonderful to hear you are on a high : )
Bec: that is great news! Oh how lovely that you and your sister can be preggers together! It's great sharing the journey.
Mildez: I hope J is ok and it's not whooping cough. Though i'm imagining if she had a serious dose you'd know about it by now if she's been coughing for two weeks already and managing ok? So hope it's just a run of the mill annoying virus and she is well again soon.
Melster: Are you going to try for a VBAC? Or are you having a planned c-section give that you had an emergency one last time?

AFM: I feel like the old pelvic floor is starting to take some strain. Feels a bit tender and at times (TMI warning) i feel a bit nervous going to the loo: scared of putting too much pressure on it in case i damage something or something falls out! Do you reckon i could still do some exercise to strengthen pelvic floor and get in shape for labour (like Preggie Bellies classes) or is 26wks too late? Also, starting to think seriously about labour and how i feel about trying to 'go natural' again and who my support person might be. DH was great last time but found it stressful and it was great having my best friend there as 2nd support person. But she has small baby now and not sure if she can come. Not sure whether to organise a doula.. but what if i find it too much and decide for an epidural? Would the doula give me a hard time? (I went into labour naturally last time at near 40wks but this time i need induction at 38 and i've no idea what that will be like. Scared it'll be more painful).

Bec - congratulations! I know what a relief it is to find a pregnancy in the uterus after an ectopic. And possibly two! I envy you that you get to share your pregnancy with your sister, I have a sister too and I would love for her to be pregnant with me.

Possum magic - I'd say take the epidural, do not try to be a hero. I was induced for my first baby. You just do not get the relief from contractions at all with induction. Normally, that is what I heard not what I experienced, you supposed to get "peak and valleys", that is, a contraction and then the pain goes away for a bit until the next contraction. When they induce you, it just feels like you have an awful painful contraction that takes your breath away and after that a slightly smaller contraction, but still very painful. Just peaks, no valleys at all. And it can go on forever, my baby was born more than 24 hours after I was induced, after some 13 hours of big contractions. I wanted to do the "natural" birth too, but I asked for epidural pretty fast, the contractions were so bad, and I am really glad I did. After the epi, the birth of my daughter was truely a magical experience.

possum - a friend of mine has just become a preggie bellies instructor and she said that you can join and do classes up to and over your due date as long as you join before 30 weeks (so you get the benefits) - it's never too late to do pelvic floor exercises! When you're doing a wee, stop the flow - that's what it should feel like. Don't do them too often when you're on the toilet, it's not good for your bladder, but once you know what that feels like, do sets of 10 three times a day - hold each one for 3 seconds. That's only 30 seconds 3 times a day! Oh re a doula? I think they're there to support your decisions, so it may be worth posting in the doula section and asking for advice/contact from someone - I've never looked into it, but I've thought about it!

bec that's great news!! So glad the scan went well - now just to wait for next week Hopefully little heartbeat(s) to accompany the little fetal pole(s)! And so exciting about your sister - that will be an awesome journey together.

Jess - good luck getting through the next couple of weeks - at least you've got DD to keep you distracted! Are you feeling well?

alish - I think pregnancy's so varied that just about everything can be considered normal! Still lots of stretching to go in there too - if it gets painful or worrying, call your hospital/Ob. Pregnancy's great isn't it

I'm feeling pretty good about this being a sticky pregnancy now I can feel my uterus getting bigger almost daily - it's a good thing. I'm off to the acupuncturist today so hopefully he can help my back.
