possum - hows it going? i hear you about the falling out thing, i sneezed and wet my pants the other day haha! ive started to do pelvic floor excersises but ive always always had a weak bladder..
how r u going luna?
melster - you must be next.. how exciting everything will be fine and you will find your rythmn with two kids, how are things with hubby did he read your letter?
the mrs - dont stress this will be your sticky baby
wbm - im sad that dh only wants 2 kids, im loving being pregnant i could do it forever lol..
sorry for anyone ive missed i was being lazy and only read the last page how r u all going?
i think ive been having bh.. i dont know for sure but ive been getting pains down there.. nothing bad but enough to make me uncomfortable, normal??????
possum - a friend of mine has just become a preggie bellies instructor and she said that you can join and do classes up to and over your due date as long as you join before 30 weeks (so you get the benefits) - it's never too late to do pelvic floor exercises! When you're doing a wee, stop the flow - that's what it should feel like. Don't do them too often when you're on the toilet, it's not good for your bladder, but once you know what that feels like, do sets of 10 three times a day - hold each one for 3 seconds. That's only 30 seconds 3 times a day! Oh re a doula? I think they're there to support your decisions, so it may be worth posting in the doula section and asking for advice/contact from someone - I've never looked into it, but I've thought about it!
bec that's great news!! So glad the scan went well - now just to wait for next week Hopefully little heartbeat(s) to accompany the little fetal pole(s)! And so exciting about your sister - that will be an awesome journey together.
Jess - good luck getting through the next couple of weeks - at least you've got DD to keep you distracted! Are you feeling well?
alish - I think pregnancy's so varied that just about everything can be considered normal! Still lots of stretching to go in there too - if it gets painful or worrying, call your hospital/Ob. Pregnancy's great isn't it
I'm feeling pretty good about this being a sticky pregnancy now I can feel my uterus getting bigger almost daily - it's a good thing. I'm off to the acupuncturist today so hopefully he can help my back.
Tegam, mildez, dory, reet forshelby anyone who i have missed we will have to go into the parenting after m/c and loss thread if murrycod gets her behind back here as we have all had our bubs different months so can't be in the same baby buddies group.
Just a thought i have been talking to our murrycod she is doing great just needed a break from BB and then time got away so she felt terrible and didnt know how to come back after such a long time.
Well we will tell her DONT' BE SILLY GET BACK HERE and fill us all in on your princess.
Thats a great idea Ferrals. If it wasn't for a few of you lovely ladies here I would leave completely as although I have a baby its official my ttc and pregnancy days are over at a tender age of 28 and been on BB makes me want another and reminds me of what I want everytime I read about an annoucement etc. Obviously I'm thrilled for everyone as its such an excited time (and scary for many of us that are worried about getting a take home baby at the end of it) but its probably not good for my head. The thing is I could probably have another but I don't think my marrage would survive. Although DH would have another and be happy its what happens after the baby comes. If I want to stay married then this is the only way Hopefully MurrayCod will come join us in the other thread. Would love to hear about her daughter.
Bec CONGRATULATIONS on your wonderful scan. I too hope there are 2 in there next scan you have. How wonderful. Wish I had twins lol. That would have solved my problem.
T-hopes I hope everything is going brilliantly with your littleman Noah. And your kidney issues are resolving.
The Mrs hope the next 2weeks flies by and you can see your healthy little bubba sqirming around in there.
Possum Magic If I lived closer (not that I know where you live) I could be your doula I'm not a doula I'm a middy but I've been thinking of swapping. The problem with been a middy is the work load where as if I was a doula atleast I could devote all my time to my one lady. It would make such a difference. When I had J I had an epidural after pethidine as I completely lost the plot, Swearing, screaming etc. It was embarrassing (my 1st bub was drug free, my 2nd I had pethidine) The midwife whom was lovely only came in my room to give me peth and then to help the anaethetist put the epidural in. Whilst he was preparing she was encouraging me to use the gas and it worked so well. I needed her there telling me what to do (been a midwife DOES NOT help you birth yourself lol) although I'm all for epidurals if needed I can't help but wonder if I had her there a little more if things would have been different. I know her presence the little I had it really calmed me down. stopped me swearing and I actually coped during the contraction instead of screaming the place down. I don't blame her as she had 2 other women (I delivered just before me and the other was on a plane to sydney in prem labour so I was not her priority) I think you do what you do to get through it and hopefully you have some wonderful support people to help you along the way.
Mildez-I know exactly what you are saying being in here is messing with my mind i miss being pregnant and yern for another but i really dont want any more.
So for all the girls who like me are hanger's on'ers i have moved over to the parenting after m/c and loss thread where i found Kitfareie and Forshelby and Audax and hopefully T hopes will follow with Mildez and bring Dory and Reet better show up aswell and Tegam and i will drag Murrycod who else do we need to wrangle up?
Ok spoke to my midwife.....heres the situation.....everything is going ok with this baby. Im measuring 33 weeks and hb 144'...........
my ob goes away from the 3rd to the 13th july...and im due the 19th.....and because i have had a csection he wants me to have another one so i would have the baby 3 weeks early on the 1st july.....he would have to give me steriods for her lungs......
If i want to go naturally she said he will not let me go much over 40 weeks...like a day or two. He wont induce me or give me those drugs. And he wont let me labour for long....and any distress and he will csection me anyways. She said in most of the cases it will be likely in the end ill have to have a csection.....
His cover when he is away apparently wont vbac at that hospital if i go into labour and i would have to go to another hospital or ask my ob to ask one of the other obs...
Because i got pnatal before and never held dd straight away and didnt bond with her and my milk had trouble coming in im wanting my body to go into natural labour....but im worried the baby will come while my obs away....
I dont know which way to go...im really in two minds about it........in ways i want to go into labour naturally and experience a vaginal birth or at least try.....other wise will i regret not trying?? But if i did have a csection i could organise my dd...someone to look after dad etc...
Melster- this might sound airy fairy, but what does your heart say? I had an emergency c/section last time and I plan to have another one but I have some things I want done differently this time. Would you be worried about not having your OB? How much stress would the situation put on you either way? Can you book in for c/s when OB gets back (so bubs isn't 3 weeks early)? Maybe choose 2 situations you are happy with and Pro/Con a list for each. (Can you tell I'm a list person?!)
ALish- my sister had bh with her 2nd pregnancy from 20 weeks. She delivered a healthy baby on her due date. But if you're worried or they get worse, go see your OB or go straight to the hospital. It's probably just things getting ready, I reckon.
WBM- I hope your back is feeling better. Did the acupuncture help?
possum- Surely a doula would support you either way? If you had in your birth plan that you are willing to have an epi if you feel you need one? (I love epidural! It saved my sanity after a long 30 hour labour which was induced. That's just me though)
hi to all you new mums and mums to be I've missed.
AFM: Just a quick question. SOmeone (I can't remember who) said they had early ovarian pain and it turned out to be a cyst? I've had a lot of pain this pg and I just assumed that it was becasue it was only 2-3 months ago I had abdominal surgery and it was still healing. Yesterday at the scan, I ask FS and she said "I'm not surprised. You have a massive cyst on your right ovary." I didn't think much of it, but I am worried about it now. Good old Dr Google...I read a corpus luteul cyst can cause issues with progestrone? Anyone had trouble with this or heard anything else about it?
