Thanks Mildez! I fell better now. I had a large cyst when I had my ectopic too (just to add to the pain!) and I was worried becasue the pain felt similar. Thanks for letting me know,

    Bec

    Hi Girls!

Just thought i wld pop in and say a big hello! I read all ur posts everyday but prefer to stalk these days rather then post a lot! Normally when im on here im b/fing and only have one hand spare and its way too slow to type with one hand! I will continue to pop in and follow all ur wonderful journeys.
Enjoy everyday that ur pregnant, god i miss it so much. I have had a few teary moments (mainly after the birth) cos i wasnt ready to not be pg anymore! I wld love to have our beautiful girl AND my tummy! I still feel little movements in my tummy and have to remind myself that theres nothing in there anymore. Im so grateful that i had a wonderful symptom free pregnancy. Thankyou all so much for being there during it all!

Anyway i wish u all the very best and cant wait to read all ur BA's! xxx

Melster-37 weeks is classed as full term i had my DS3 at 36 weeks 6 days and Ella was a c section at 38 weeks both bubs perfectly healthy.

T-Hopes just had her bub at 37 weeks c section no problems.

Why is your doctor giving you steroids when bubs would be only 18 days early (2 weeks 4 days) seems a bit extreme to me i was in hospital with placenta previa bleeding at 37 weeks and they said no need for steroids as they are pretty much useless after 36 weeks and very painful so i didnt have any.
I think i would lean towards my own doctor doing the c section early when it wouldnt end up an emergency so then you could have skin to skin and bond ect but if you want to go naturally you risk going into labour when your doctor is not here.

But me also having 4 natural births and 1 c section i totally understand your wanting to try for a natural birth it is a hard decision but just remeber bub will be fine a little early if she is a good size and it has been a healthy pregnancy.

bec - I had a cyst this pg, was convinced it was ectopic! It was a 5cm cyst. My Ob said they go one of two ways, they either explode or implode. If they explode you get severe pain, perhaps needing an emergency trip, and it will last 12-24 hours (not much you can do - apparently heat packs help), if it implodes (mine did) you get less severe pain but for much longer - even at 12 weeks, it was still 1.5cm. My Ob could feel it on palpating my abdo at 6 weeks - I think it was when he felt it that it started to implode because that HURT! (He didn't know it was there until he felt it - lol, poor guy.) I hope it's not too painful for you - at least you know it's not another ectopic!

Melster - I had an emergency cs with DS and all my advice has been that there is no reason I can't VBAC - but every situation is different. My Ob is happy for me not to schedule a cs until 42 weeks. Did you go into early labour last time? If it's unlikely, I'd be holding off on scheduling a cs until after he gets back - but then as ferrals said, 37 weeks is full term. They can put baby on your chest as soon as its born, you can have baby with you in recovery etc if it's planned, it's easier to manage these things. Find out the hospital's policies on these sort of things and discuss them with your Ob. Might also be worth talking to some girls in the VBAC threads - there is even a thread for women who attempt and don't get a VBAC and their feelings about it all. There's all sorts of wisdom on here But I think you go with what feels right to you - doesn't matter in the end how the baby gets out as long as you're both healthy!

alish - stretch marks are boo but better than anything going wrong!

angel - can't wait to hear your results today! Let us know soon...

Reet - glad to hear things are going well for you! What a gorgeous name for your little girl

Acupuncture went well, but I was pretty sore last night - feel ok today though! I've got a couple of needles that stay in for a few days over my right sacroiliac joint. Hope they do the trick. If not - I'm off to the chiro for some massage and adjustment next week! It's DH's birthday today - he's my age again (he says today is the saddest day of the year) - he's had his birthday presents and gone to work. Now I have to make a chocolate ripple cake and a meat pie from scratch - why oh why did I volunteer to do that???
