Tegam - Yay for the new car! Can't believe you're almost 38 weeks already.......... your baby isn't far away now!
T-Hopes - hehehe, I don't know which is worse..... working in my old position where xmas time means customers go MENTAL and the phones go crazy right up until closing time on xmas eve.... or if I'd rather be bored out of my mind. Tough choice! So glad you made it though, I was worried your 'nap' might have stretched into a sleepover... haha.
Kellie - Aww that is so sad that people would leave their old relatives at the hospital for xmas........ how horrible! My Gran was in a nursing home for the last few years and we used to have them 'deliver' her to the party in a big maxi taxi thing with a wheelchair lift. She loved it and would sit at the head of the table with her little paper crown on... lol.
Possum - CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!! How's that for a christmas present?! It's so great to see you in here. Good to hear you're excited and feeling positive, and well done on giving yourself the needle. I personally hate needles so I feel your pain! Feel free to babble all you want, hun....... this is exciting stuff!! Have you told your DH yet? Or are you going to surprise him on xmas day with your peed on stick? LOL, romantic.
Reet - Definitely being pg would amplify your grief, i don't doubt that for a second. When I'd just gotten my BFP and my Grandma died, we were at the nursing home clearing out some of her stuff and I just burst into tears. And I am generally not a cryer. Not in public anyway lol. Lucky for me my aunty and mum joined me and we all had a big cry together. If blocking it out for now helps you cope, then do it. I just want you to have a nice xmas and new year and to feel better. Hooray for busting out the maternity pants (that is sooooo something I would say by the way 'busted out' lol) and don't worry about the BH. Ikwym about being too big or too small.. I'm getting the 'OMG YOU'RE HUGE' comments. I thought it would bother me more than it does but I really don't care. I love my big belly and the way people look at it. This is such a special time and I know I'll look back on these 9 months for the rest of my life as some of the happiest. To answer your question, the BT's were for my glucose tolerance test. (to see if I have gestational diabetes). I imagine that test is standard so you'll probably have to have it as well. And don't you worry, I told my friend what a nightmare her eldest was being when she came to pick them up. She was soooo cranky with him. She felt really bad but I told her not to worry, that it was nothing I couldn't handle and that it was mostly just irritating. I was surprised to hear there was no punishment though... he just got yelled at. No wonder he was such a ratbag, he gets away with it all the time! Anyway, she's my bestie so I would still do it for her again, I'll just have a MUCH firmer hand with them next time. How she raises her kids is her business, and I'd do anything to help her out.
Dory - Lovely to hear from you again! I was actually thinking to myself 'is this guy ignoring me because I'm pg?' then told myself I was being silly. I seem to get that a lot lately, especially in clothing stores. Nobody greets me etc, it's like they're saying 'just leave we don't have anything in your size'. Meanwhile they DO, I just have to dig for it. Hmmm I wonder why it is that people are so ignorant of us mummies? Hooray for the guy at bunnings.... that's awesome. I find bunnings staff are generally really helpful. I should shop there more, lol. I'm loving the new pic of Hannah Bear, she looks so inquisitive! GORGEOUS. Mwah and Merry Xmas
Mildez - I hope you're doing okay.
Ferrals - So glad you're feeling better hun, FX the paperwork goes through no problems and your money issue will be sorted for now.
AFM - I'm spent from all that catching up... you girls have been busy busy busy! I'm supposed to be writing a shopping list for the rest of the stuff I need for xmas and I've only got chicken wings and bbq sauce on it. COME ON, FOCUS! lol. We picked up bubby's carseat last night and are getting it put in the car asap. It's a convertible one and starts out as a rear facing capsule, then turns into a regular seat. Can be used up to 18kg so that should last a fair while! Yay How exciting! It's all happening so fast, before I know it I'll be getting my labour bag ready. Actually I'd like to have it ready by 33 weeks just to be on the safe side. Call me paranoid, lol. Well, just in case I get too busy to pop back in here before the big day, Merry Christmas to all my lovely ladies and your families. And of course belly rubs!! XOXOXOXO
