Thanks Loops and angel - it just helps to know you're not on your own sometimes you know?
Loops, I'm glad you got to see a little heartbeat - how awesome is that! Even if you aren't as far along as you thought, that heartbeat is an awesome sign It may feel a long time until a 12 week scan. If you get nervous in the meantime, my Ob said to me (when I requested a "paranoid Mummy scan") "There is no reason you can't have one every week if it helps your stress levels". So don't be afraid to ask if you want another in a few weeks! I think we all did It's nice to see bubba growing well.
This little one's certainly keeping me in the loop as to what it's up to - so much movement! A little dancer is on the way
Thanks so much Wannabe mum ~ you have really eased my mind a lot and I will take your advice and try get an earlier scan. I have Ob appointment on the 7th Oct so I think I'll try and wait until then and get one done about 10 weeks. I'll try and stay relaxed - as hard as it is.
Certainly your little treasure moving so much should be a good sign as well GL hun
clairesmummy: So thrilled for you that everything went well with 12wk scan. Onwards and upwards!
Sunshine and stars: so glad you 'dropped by'. I have thought about you over the months and it's good to know you are moving forward as best you can. What a sweet legacy you and Obie gave the families of other babies with special needs with your gifts of breast milk and Obie's gift too. Glad to hear you are trying for a brother or sister for Obie. I hope your embies grow and flourish. Will look out for more news from you.
WBM: Those 'negative' feelings are soooo normal. I tried to tell myself that plenty of other people have healthy babies and there's no reason I can't be one of them... but you still have moments where the fear breaks through this sort of 'common sense'. It didn't feel real that i could have another baby until DD was here and even now i feel like i'm dreaming sometimes! Anyway, just wanted to say, 'I get it' and 'you can do it!'
Alish: Great to hear from you, welcome home! Sooo exciting! Hope you are not too sore... or heal quickly if you are. Good luck with feeding and sleep issues. The first few weeks are pretty tough in the sleep department but it does get better (i vaguely remember this through the sleep deprived haze i'm currently in!)
Loops: Great news that you saw the heartbeat. Sticky sticky vibes to you!
Angelfish: hope your DP, friends or family are helping you out and letting you rest sometimes. Hard to be pregnant with such a young baby.
AFM: Still stalking for more BA's eg Cheshire. Belly rubs to all! Enjoying my DD2. Cuddly koala with a lovely head of hair and chubby cheeks i can't stop smooching! Tired with ouchy nipples but otherwise good!
possum magic ~ no i dont get any help the only rest i get is if she is sleeping like today we got a nap together for two hours but then there are some days were she naps for 15 to 20 mins. Its very hard but i would not give up one day at all with Honor
Nothing new happening here, so over it & i really want to meet her but it just doesn't feel like my body is doing anything to get ready.
So i fear meeting her is still 3 weeks off & it has me feeling really down.
all is well here.
hayden is in a routine already. every 4 hours she feeds (10 mins each boob & top up on bottle - but she is starting to not drink the formula anymore 10-20mls tops sometimes nothing) and self settles. hubby does the 9pm feed (i express) and i go to bed about 8-830. he has been such a good help, i miss him now he is back at work.
had the mchn here yesterday. she made me feel bad about top ups with bottle. i havent been making enough milk for her and she was soooo upset in hospital thats why i did it. sigh. cant win them all.
shes so beautiful.
belly rubs to all.. cant wait to see some BA's ladies!!
s&s - so good to hear from you. i hope you & hubby are well and i think about you often xoxo
