I've also been told I have a retroverted uterus... I'm told it doesn't affect chances of conception or miscarriage in any way...
I did read somewhere though that sometimes in the early stages of a pregnancy it can get 'caught' on or under one of the pelvic bones (called an 'incarcerated uterus') and that can cause some issues with urination, but that it usually rights itself or can be manually 'tweaked' into place.
Also, I find papsmears to be unfailingly painful, also IUIs, I usually get bad period pain in my lower back, and I've never had an external ultrasound show anything helpful - only dildo-cam for me!
