    All the best for Monday.
I haven't experienced this either, but I just had my first midwife appt on Thurs and she said to go and get a routine u/s, mainly to check that bubs was ok, but also to see how many there were! LOL. It hadn't occurred to me there'd be more than 1, even though we have twins in our family.

Snacks the possibility never occured to me either. There are no twins on my mothers side that I know about but there are some on my fathers side. Also twins on my MIL side but I don't think this has any bearing on me.

    Hi everyone
I had my scan and there is only one baby, a very active wriggly baby. They couldn't tell me the sex but I will find out in 2 weeks.

They did tell me I was a week and half further than I thought, explaining why I was bigger than my dates.

    Thanks for all your support

well i am glad you have found out already, If only I had come apond the post earlier as with my 3rd they heard a slight eco ( which can be the twin sitting behind the 1st bub ) but I too only had one... It a stange feeling isnt... Not really wanting it to be twins but by the time you find out its only one it kinda feels like you lost one as you have just got used to the idea there might be 2 in there... Wishing you a happy and healthy Pregnancy...

    Thankyou ladies.

Tali you're right. I wasn't relieved because I'd kind of gotten used to the possibility of having 2. It was kind of sad to lose one (that never was) but on the hand I'm just accepting and happy to have a healthy, active baby.

I'm pleased to be further ahead than I thought but I don't how it could be as I know the exact date of my LMP.

Thanks again everyone... great support here

wow that must have been strange to go through but glad you are happy.
both my boys were always at least a week - 2 weeks ahead(i always knew my conception date) - big boys 9-10pd babies.
with my 3rd i am actually measuring on time and its a girl so i am hoping for a smaller one this time.
    H & H pregnancy!

    Devisy, congrats on your bubba!

Actually LMP isn't always an accurate guide........you may have ovulated a bit later in your cycle, which would explain why your further along. Whatever the explanation, it's always good to hear that they've moved your dates along
