Any ideas what this could be?

I'm 16.5 weeks pregnant and for the last week I will get this thing where my vision goes blurry (badly, can barely see a thing), feel dizzy, extreamly weak (can't feel my legs etc... Sorta feel outta body iykwim). It will just come on out of no where without any warning... Usually the only way I can get rid of it is to lay down on the spot and close my eyes (bit hard if I'm not at home, I just have 2 try and make it to a seat). This morning it happened while I was driving, I had to pull over straight away.

I'd see your OB/dr. It could be blood pressure related, or it could be sugar related.
Maybe try eating some lollies, eat more often. I find I get an episode like that if I haven't eaten enough.

Definitely see your doctor, like Charlotte91 said it could be low BP or Low blood sugars.

Before it happened this morning had you had anything to eat?

Yeah I thought maybe low BP or low sugar. I keep a pack of lollies on me if I'm out and about but they don't seem to work. I had breakfast, I do everymorning when I'm pregnant or BF (normally I don't) and I came home and had something else to eat. I still feel a bit weird but...

Blurred vision is also a sign of pre-eclampsia. I would see my ob/gp straightaway and get some answers. Better to be safe. Like you said, if it's happening while you're driving etc., it could be pretty dangerous. Please let us know how you go. Stay safe.

The fact that you feel better when you lie down is suggestive of low blood pressure. If your sugars were the problem you would probably continue to feel worse until shortly after eating something to lift your blood glucose. Make sure you drink plenty of fluids (preferably water) and stand up slowly. It is concerning that you are experiencing these symptoms without warning, particularly whilst driving!

A check up with the doctor is an excellent idea. Good luck!

Ok so my blood pressure is quite low. He is pretty concerned but not sure if giving me some tablets to rise it is the way to go incase it gets to high etc. So for the next week till I see him again I have strict instructions for bed rest and nothing else. Def no driving the car. Bed rest with 3 kids and a DP who works at least 12hr days... Can't see to much rest happening

No sorry I don't... I didn't even think to ask and he hasn't gave me my yellow card yet. He took it a few times and it was low everytime but lower when he had me standing, why he wants me on bedrest. Said it was normal to get low BP while pregnant just not my low.

A postural drop (when your blood pressure drops when you stand up) is quite common. Do you know if your BP is low when you are not pg? Be careful getting out of bed in the morning, sit on the edge for a minute first to allow you BP to adjust! And lots and lots of water to drink. Hope you feel better soon, good luck with the bed rest! Couch rest maybe??

Couch rest is heaps better. Have movie days!! I love movie days!!
And you have kids!!! You'd probably have awesome movies! I love kid movies.

I have young brothers so I quite often borrow the latest Pixar/Disney movies off them.

Nickel- my bp is normal when I'm not pg.
I haven't been fully resting (really who can with 3 kids?) but I haven't been doing as much as I usually do and been couching it alot (wish DS would watch something other then cars lOl) and I haven't had a "episode". So I'm pretty happy with that.
