    Eratic Movement

Hi everyone, Just a quickie. Does your bub have some days of heaps more activity than others?. Mine goes crazy somedays and then hardly says boo others. Is this normal? I have an anterior placenta and am wondering if I am just not feeling alot of movements?

Yes, yes, yes! While baby moves lots more now, in the second tri I honestly felt worried some days because the baby would be so quiet. Then often the next day it would make up for it by seemingly turning somersaults all day and night!

Its perfectly normal so don't stress. Babies are just mini people who have 'up' and 'down' days.

If you're worried, try lying on your left side or have a cold drink and lie down.

I always found sitting quietly and letting the sun shine on my belly helped...

Also - have you noticed what you're doing on the quiet days? Sometimes it was actually just me being so busy I hardly noticed when it when baby DID move...

This happens to me too. I have days were bub feels really active and seems he's awake all day. Then there's days like today where I have only felt movement once, and sometimes I don't notice any movement at all. I imagine the anterior placenta would soften the movements a bit too, so you may not notice them all the time, especially if you are busy and have your mind on other things.

Ohh, cool, thankyou heaps. I must admit some days it does concern me. I am sure there are times when I dont notice cause I am busy and then there are other days that I really notice and it scares me. Although I always feel some sort of movement.
PS I have been meaning to ask, Why the left side? I know thats what everyone says, but was wondering why?

Definitely normal - a lot of it depends on which way the baby is lying. And some days you'll be busier when the baby is more active, and you won't notice the movements that are happening. Anterior placentas definitely make it harder to detect those small movements, too.
