    Gender tests???

Has anyone used or know of anyone thats used them gender tests from the chemist that came out a little while ago?
Our bub wouldnt come to the party at the last scan to reveal his/her gender and the tests are cheaper than having another scan so i was just after some feedback before we bought one.
We've had two surprises now and im too impatient to wait another 20 weeks this time round lol

    Intelli Gender

We paid the $70 for the Intelli Gender Boy or Girl test.

Obviously too soon to have the result checked with a scan ... bring on the 19 weeks scan!!

The box said it was 90% accurate (hmmmm ... tested by which independant lab) and I read up that it has been available in the USA for three years.

The test is basically a cup with little granule thingys in it and you put some of your pee in the cup. The blurb said that it tests for the male hormone, so if you are having a boy (the male hormone is present in your pee) then your pee will turn green. If the male hormone is not present (having a girl) your pee remains the same colour, or maybe goes a little darker/orange.

My pee went green pretty much straight away ... so, if we believe the test, we are having a boy.

    Must admit, I am doubtful.

    Will keep you posted.

    Hi
I haven't used the Gender test but did alot of research on it and there is heaps out there if you search the web.

I was adement I would get one to start with but after reading and researching there's no way I would trust anything but a scan.
Plenty of correct results from them to be found, people who had done them and then scans had backed it up but also plenty the other way.

If you were going to get one done with the comfort of checking from a scan afterwards then that would be a geat situation to be in.

I am pying $150 for a 3D Gender Scan Package at 17 weeks, basically in, have a look at the bits and out. 99.9% accurate, then I will have my 20 weeks scan and ask then also.

If you are happy to do the gender test and not go ahead and buy specific stuff etc or have your hopes pinned on one sex or the other etc then it could be fun to do and you may end up being the accurate one?

I read one story and the poor lady was devestated, along the line of, had 3 boys wanted a girl, test said girl and she had another boy.

Anyway, sorry for running on a bit! Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

when i researched the test( inteligender) i found out its not suitable for me any way apparently if you have PCOS you get a boy reading either way so unless the doctor orders another scan looks like were in for another surprise lol

You can get the non-diagnostic sex determination scan done. Costs close to the same as the test your talking about. Here both the test and the scan are $100 And at the one I'm booked into, if they can't get a good view even after giving you a drink / go for a walk, they re-book free of charge.

hello,im not sure about those tests, but i paid $50 to get a scan done at 28 weeks and they guarenteed the sex and they basically dont let you leave untill they can tell.It was great!!It was at a 3d scan place. Not sure how much the chemist ones are though.dont you hate it when they dont cooperate when the scan is on so you can see good and clear!!
