My Ob said to it was safe take Zyrtec after ringing and checking with the pharmacy hotline at the Womens Hospital. Polaramine zonked me right out and made me wary driving & functioning at work.
I've needed Polaramine a couple of times but I only take it at night because, for me, it is like taking a sleeping tablet. For example, I needed one last night and literally didn't move for 6 hours!
I have also been using a nose spray and eye drops to deal with irritation etc. And drinking lots and lots of water.
maybe i shld call my hospital...i don't want to be zonked for the day it is hard enough to stay awake as it is with 3 kids spinning me on my feet! Thanks Phoenix
Any of the old ones should be ok, Polaramine and Phernergan, however they will knock you out and put you to sleep or make you very drowsy. I dont think many non drowsy ones are safe. Most are Cat B or C I think from memory but good to double check
