I thought it was a total of ten for the day as a minimum? Alan will know
20 in each of three sessions seemed to be the average for what's going on in there, so figured that it was the best way to show any deviation.

Anyway, you can call me the Overreactor. I've had 20 kicks since I posted I think maybe the bambino was just a little tuckered out after the epic aerobics session this morning.

Glad to hear Snuggly. I remember doing that a couple of times.

It's not overeacting, as the others have said, you know your baby best, and I apologise if I made you feel that way. Reading it back, it probably sounded very abrupt.

Nah, mate, no worries. There are so many different ways out there to do it, so we sort of decided to pick our own way to give it a go.

May need to adjust as time goes on, which is why I've started so early, to get used to the whole thing. We're having an evening zumba session in there now, so I feel particularly dumb for having worried.

    Hi Audax

I think your way of doing a kick chart could cause you more worries than anything else. Your baby will have periods of activity and periods of sleep. If your baby is sleeping for most of one of the 3 sections on your chart you could become a little concerned. (As you already know). Normally we would recommend 10 movements in a 24 hour period. If you wish to continue with your current chart I would recommend that you look at it over a 24 hour period and not as an 8 hour chart.

Thanks Alan. That's becoming pretty clear now as I look at it.

But it was so neat and even and pretty before!
