Just curious to see how other people feel their babies move around the 18-24weeks. Mine seems very quiet but it has been a few years since I did this last.
I probably feel bub every 2-3hours on average. It may only be a poke and just the last week I have felt hiccups. Yesterday I had absolutely nothing until midnight so that was well over 12hours with nothing.
I was hoping someone else could tell me how active their babies are?
I didn't feel Quark until 19ish weeks easy...which was very disappointing for me because I felt Spock insanely from about 14 weeks. The reason for this though is this time I have an anterior placenta, and even when I do feel Quark it is light and muffled...not the hard strong boots I would get from Spock. I'm now 26 weeks and have only I. The last week noticed my belly move or felt a strong boot. But still I can go hours without felling anything, with Spock she never sat still!! It is sad, makes me really focus and hang on to what I do feel, hoping it gets more and stronger, but damn those anterior placentas!!
Thanks for your reply. I started to feel the odd movement around 14weeks but could go days without anything. Placenta is posterior. I know I am only just over 21weeks but I expected more now. I guess it doesn't help that I don't really look pregnant. I just filled out a survey at work about exercise and wrote in the comments it wasn't a good time to ask a pregnant woman. Didn't realise how few people knew as they couldn't work out who at work was pregnant and then even more surprised when I said I was over half way.
With DD I felt her move at 18 weeks and she literally never stopped. Longest I think she stopped for was an hour tops. She rolled, kicked, wiggled, poked, you name it.
Fast forward to DS felt the first flutter at around 11 weeks. By 18 weeks+ the lazy little monkey never moved and I emphasise NEVER. He wold be lucky to move once a day. I was forever questioning it and asking for reassurance.
Hi mildez I'm 37w and don't feel her much at all, only really at night after dinner and only really strong for maybe 5-10 mins. Otherwise just flutters and a little wriggling in the mornings. That's all I've ever felt. I get the odd day every few
Weeks where i feel her heaps but more often get days I don't feel any flutters just movement before bed. The drs aren't concerned they said as
Long as she has a pattern it's fine xx
At that stage I felt this bub every 3 hours, and rarely in between, it didn't seem to get more often til about 22-24 weeks.
Sounds like bub is perfect to me oh and I have been told hiccups is a great sign that the brain is creating more and more connections (my ob with DS1 told me that)
Thanks for your replies. I think I might be noticing a pattern. I guess thats a good thing. If I get an active day its always followed by by a few quiet days. DH is yet to feel him/her.
