I dont recall if I was extra gassy but I like to build my farts up and let one rip on purpose in front of dh cos he thinks its gross.

Id say let them rip and blame it on your shoes. Maybe you can start using ur natural gas as a renewable energy source? Although someone must have to invent a stench filter first heehhe.

sorry pz, dont have actual advice but I like a good fart thread.

Oh gosh. At least I'm not the only one. Don't remember it much in my first pregnancy but I do in my second and now my third.

I seem MORE gassy when out shopping. How embarrassing, especially when your in target looking at clothes, one "slips" out your husband disowns you, you move into in next aisle and a lady walks in behind you as you walk away... She disappeared pretty quick while husband is laughing his head off on other side of kids clothing area.

I'm a good farter normally (DP blames all the chickpeas and lentils, as I'm vego) but when I was pregnant OMG did it ramp up! DP suggested that I could produce orchestral arrangements as they were so multi-tonal

So yes it is normal and it does go away although I found it wasn't until a few weeks after birth.

Omg I have tears in my eyes reading this thread!!

But yes, it is normal. I had it the worst in my first pregnancy, I'd be walking around the house like my nana and popping with every step. Very attractive.

I had never farted in front of my DH..... Until I was pregnant with DS. I was lying in bed, reading.. He was watching TV in the lounge annnndddd it just... Um... slipped out! He came running in screaming "Did you just FART!?" of course I said no so he actually sniffed around to see if he could smell it!! Then backed off in horror!!! Hahahahaha!!!
So....ahem, yes.. Very common. Another lovely, glamorous side effect of pregnancy!

I remember that early in my first pregnancy I smelt soooo bad. Even the dog (who certainly didn't smell like roses herself) would look at me in disgust, turn around and walk away.

PMSL Arte!! I (unsuccessfully) tried to blame our dog for mine on several occasions (or DH if we had company ) but our dog was often outside (and I was in) and DH would just exploit me!

I have to say I still get a few odd ones that slip out inappropriately and I have to pretend cough to try to cover them up. I think my butt muscles copped as much of a hiding as my pelvic floor!

REVOLTING!!! i couldn't stop. they were putrid. df loved telling everybody about the incredibleness of my 'mud butt' then the rat bastard started drpping them i public (incl. my ob/gyn's office ) and blaming me. now it's a free for all

Oh, im good! They're random and not noticeable immediately, so if it goes "off" by itself... I always excuse myself and mention "it's not going to be friendly!" dh has left the room a few times!

Before I went on maternity leave, I'd have to be careful where I was in case I did something that would cause it to go off spontaneously! Where I work, I actually could blame it on someone else... But only if I was near them. Being in the kitchen and the blamee being on the other side of the room just didn't cut it!
