    OB appt today!

I'm heading off to an appointment with my (wonderful) Ob this afternoon, little does she know that since i saw her last i have been to HOT MILK! and done a lot of further reading and i have a list of topics to discuss with her!
Just thought i'd list them here...
    • breast crawl
    • active birthing positions
    • hypnobirthing
    • delayed cord clamping
    • delivery of placenta (BFing=oxytocin)
    • induction/membrane rupture - when/why?

Obviously i don't expect to be able to discuss all these topics with her in one appointment but at least by giving her an idea of what things i'm thinking about it'll give her a chance to think about them. I am seeing her every fortnight for the next couple of months anyway. And yes, i have printed out some research and bellybelly articles!
Fingers crossed, she'll be accepting and at least open to discuss all these options. I'm cautiously optomistic though as she is very pro-natural birth, and i had a great birth with DS with her care.

    Hi
I hope your appt went well. Did you get to discuss everything? All your topics look interesting and are of interest to me also! I am only not sure about two things:
    a) what is HOTMILK (I though they were a maternity bra brand)?
    b) what is breast crawl?
    Thanks!

Hope you had a great appt. I would just say to your ob that you know she is very pro-natural and you think that is wonderful and this is a list of things that you will be doing during the birth!! Your body-your birth!
Deidre, hotmilk is a big breastfeeding conference type thing that was just held with everything and anything to do with breastfeeding.
Breast crawl is when you put bubs on your tummy immediately after birth and they literally crawl on their own to find your breast.

Well i didn't actually get to see my ob but that's ok - she had to go and deliver a baby who was coming a little quicker than she'd anticipated. So i saw the midwife instead and just gave her the list of things i have to discuss. I felt a bit sorry for her actually as i think she thought she should be addressing all of it although i kept telling her it was just stuff to talk about over the next couple of months with Karen.

if you interested in the breastcrawl!
