Willow - My feet don't sound as bad as yours do..hugs I was on daily visits to the hospital for my odema with DD1 (in the last 2 weeks) and they were threatening hospitalisation, but I don't remember it starting until later. I think I first got it at 28wks but it was managable till 35wks.
Hi Bek,
I had oedema from very early on in my first pregnancy (I think, from memory, at the end of the first trimester)... Even my GP commented that it was very early.
I felt crummy - and MASSIVE
I was monitored for pre-eclampsia from about 24weeks (had high blood pressure as well)
Swollen feet and legs mainly - but in the last trimester even my face was swollen...
I had real trouble sleeping - and not sure if this will apply to you - but a friend of mine is a GP and she suggested 2 magnesium tablets a day (I'm sure there are heaps of good brands but she said to make sure it was magnesium-chelate - which is a specific type of magnesium (it's not a brand) - the person at the chemist/health food shop will know which one is which)...
Anyway, took about 5 days but it really did help - not so much with the swelling - but with the restless-legs and insomnia!
Anyway, PM me if you need to know anything else.
Take care and all the best for a wonderful pregnancy,
Lily
