    Thanks everyone

The dr said it was pain from my kidneys and he gave me panadeine forte which he said I could take today. Im on antibiotics too. Ive found the pain has eased a bit, so Im just going to stick to panadol, I wont take the forte unless the pain is unbearable.

Thanks for all your help guys

Don't worry about taking panadeine forte. It is perfectly safe to take. The only thing you have to watch out for is constipation!!!! The hospital will even advise you to take it when you are in early labour.

Just a word on the paracetamol....
The reason that there is a daily limit is because there is only so much that your liver can process...
A one off occasion would probably be OK, but panadol should never be abused, it really can have some devistating effects
Take NO MORE than 8 tablets in a 24 hour period of EITHER panadol, panadine or P/forte or anything else that contains paracetamol.
If you are unsure for an adult, you should not exceed 4 grams per day (each tablet has 500mg in it)

    Hope you are feeling better
