I feel your pain - I'm in the same boat! I've been having troubles sleeping from about 6 weeks due to stretching growing pains. My belly is often a little tender by the end of the day so I bought a maternity pillow at 13 weeks (mine is sort of moon shapped with a smaller moon on the inner side to rest your tum on!) and it has helped quite a bit. I'm normally a tummy sleeper so I started sleeping on my left side early on to try and break the habbit and also hopefully stop me from getting used to sleeping on my back. I think the sooner you can do it the better cause sleep habbits can be hard ones to break!
It is tough but try and persist and hopefully you'll get use to it sooner than you think.
