    Hi Sterla,

have a read of this Pelvic pain (SPD)

From what I can read it kinda sounds like Symphysis Pubis Dysfunction..See I had similar oain but on my lower back so thought I would have a look on the net...It appears I suffer pelvic girdle pain and it has been sore for ages (since week 7-8) for me, it feels like I have pulled a muscle in my right hand bumcheek and that everytime I twist or bend down/get up without bending my knees considerably, it hurts like hell...I have been seeing an osteopath and it has helped me heaps but I am resigned to the fact that it will hurt and be there all thoughout my pg..On the plus side though, my yoga teacher and osteo have shown me how to move without moving my pelvis and it is definately a lot more bearable now. I have to keep my pelvis "locked" as much as possible. PM me if you want more info.

In the meantine, hope its only temporary for you ...Maybe have a chat to your midwife, gp, etc... and good luck

Thanks for replies. I've been having a look around on net about SPD, and that may be what it is. It seems to to fit a bit better than round ligament pains. The 'pain' is very, very mild - more a discomfort than a pain, and doesn't occur too often, only after a particularly active day. I'll talk to the midwives about it next time I'm in.
From the sounds of it, SPD is pretty common, just a bit painful and uncomfortable. I'll find out what I can do to limit discomfort when I talk to the midwives.
Thanks for your replies - I had no idea this condition existed.

It's easy to self-diagnose yourself so best to see your GP/OB and talk to them about it if concerned.

I've had the last 2 days stretching and like mild period pain cramps in my abdomen but i'd say it's just my uterus stretching and the ligaments/muscles being shifted and stretched, all totally normal..... it's not painfu but just uncomfortable at times and comes and goes. But again, i've been told this is just normal and everything stretching as bubs is growing ALOT!

I agree, it doesnt sound like round ligament pain. I saw my OB about some really sharp pains and he diagnosed round ligament pain, which is on both side.....really hurts!!

I hope you find out what the pain is soon!
