trust me it wont matter but if u end up with a c/s i think they shave the top for u dont worry i had the same issue u may have to get ur partner to do it for u u really wont notice i ended up naked through most of my labour anyway all modesty goes out the window
lol, thats what my friend said, but i had a male midwife last week, and he pulled my pants down to measure me, and i was totally shocked bout the bush, I didnt realise it was that bad, but laying down i saw it, and felt so sorry for the poor bugger lol.
I guess hes prob seen a fair few in his day, so he prob didnt care. Its all natural i guess...lol
Yeah I was paranoid about that as well the first time. I was so embarrassed I'd blush.
TBH they don't care what you look like down there I guess its the old "seen one you've seen them all" Try to remember that they look at girls bits all day everyday and I promise you, you have NOTHING they haven't seen before. On the flip side of the coin try putting yourself in their shoes, they really are there to do a job and really want to make it as quick and comfortable for you so they are not going to go "ohhh cute hair cut" or "I like what you have done there"
My Ob and my Specialist are both male as is my family Dr, they have all seen my bits and now I barely shave my legs for them let alone my bits For birth I am sure when I am there I won't be giving two hoots about what I look like.
Still if you feel uncomfortable go and get yourself waxed at a salon or get your other half to give you a hand.
ITA with the others- they really don't care what you look like, so just do what you are comfortable with and physically capable of doing!
Having said that, I never did much down there, but kind of wished I had post-birth- with all the bleeding and soreness and everything, I think I would have felt a little cleaner if I had tidied up a bit!
i agree with Amberj - being a bit tidier down there definatley made me feel 'cleaner' post birth..
i got my dh to help me once i got too big, he did an ok job. (i didn't shave but trimmed short) i felt more comfortable being more groomed in that area, even though i new no-one cared but me. i loved the clean factor!
