    Spray tan safe???

    Hi everyone,

I'm getting married in about 4 weeks, and have booked an appointment at a tanning salon for an all over spray tan. I was just wondering if it was safe during pregnancy or not????
    Thanks

Hi, I asked the same questions about a month ago and googled it. I got a lot of conflicting answers but when I spoke to my beauty salon they said not to. They don't recommend it for pregnant woman because the tan soaks into you skin. That being said, I know a lot of pregnant woman who have been sprayed and everything was fine. I guess its what you feel comfortable with. I decided not to get it done in the end and used a lot of bronzer instead. I was a bridesmaid and I don't look to pale in the photos.

Hi Lea. I recently had a full body spray tan. The product they used was all natural and derived from Sugar Cane. Considering that your skin is the largest organ in your body I would be sure that the product you select if you decide to go ahead is free of any nasty's. Call the supplier/manufacturer of the product as I did and have a chat to them as you may find your salon will tell you whatever they think you want to hear...

Thanks maybub, i think i will do that. I had a feeling the salon would just tell me it was safe even if they didnt know. Im going to try a powder bronzer instead i think. Thanks again, Lea
