I remember I had a similar sharp pain when I was 11 weeks but it was more localized near my left ovary, it lasted for 18 hours and after that I was left with a kind of burning pain in that side. After running an ultrasound my Dr said that a folicule had ruptured to the outside and that my baby girl was fine (two years old now). I did not understand very well but apparently our ovaries are still producing folicules during pregnancy. I am not sure if that could be your case but that is what happened to me.
