Umm so this will be way TMI, but I'm confused as to what it could be.
I've just gone 16 weeks, and today I woke up and after going to the loo, there was a line of blood in CM on the toilet paper. Second wipe there was a pale-yellow but transparent blob of CM. I went to the ED and they done bloods and an ultrasound, which all came back clear. They measured my cervix length, done a thorough check on bubs, and they said bubs was fine and everything was good. Couldn't find a reason for the slight spotting. Since then I've had nothing else happen.
But about 15minutes ago, I had another blob of the pale-yellow stuff. It's hard to describe, but it's like a tiny ball of it. I cant stretch it or anything, it's just a glob.
I've no idea what the heck it is! Infection? Thrush? Or worse, mucous plug?!
I'm going to call my midwife tomorrow morning and see what they say, but I thought to see what you guys thought as well. I'm trying to relax with the fact that I had a great scan today, but I thought my stress for the day was over!
I had some weird looking mucous when I was pg apparently its normal. Hope you are OK, remember the hospital would have kept you if there was a problem.
Thanks Mrsmac, thats what I keep trying to tell myself They did check things out thoroughly (well I hope so! lol) as I was in there for quite a while waiting while they went over the results.
I just hate being so out of my depth and not knowing whats normal or not in pregnancy, lol. And I just realised my midwife clinic isn't open on Sundays so I have to wait until Monday. Bugger!
Since its not really green and they have done blood tests they would have ruled out infection which would have been the biggest concern.
Welcome to motherhood babe!! The land of stressing and not knowing LOL
I had what you are describing for most of my second pregnancy. My midwife said it was leucorrhoea which is an increase in normal vaginal discharge and if all you other tests are fine, it's just a normal part of pregnancy (but pretty gross too). You'll probably find that it sticks round until you have bubs. Mine did but I never had any symptoms of anything else just HEAPS of icky yellowy discharge. Hope that helps! x
I really have no idea about the 'blob' I didn't have any as you discribed but your CM does indeed increase ALOT as your pregnancy progesses (more so with DD2 for me). In regards to the spotting, when I was 19-20 weeks pregnant with DD2 I had two cases of spotting both happened after bowel movements, I was told that it was caused by straining even though I did not feel I strained at all.
