    Question what could this be??

So i'm almost 21 weeks and was wondering if my belly being so tight & sore for the last couple days now is normal???

it hurts to sit, take deep breaths, lift, just anything in general even eating hurts
i never experienced this with my DS so this is very new to me, i asked my midwife and she said i could have a urinary tract infection but waiting for results...

Bub still moves and everything just worried about this constant pain

    TIA
    Miz

First thing that came to mind for me was Abdominal Muscle Separation.

Have you noticed any of this?

Otherwise, it could be that your Uterus has reached about your Belly Button now and the soreness and tenderness may because of everything stretching to accomodate your growing Uterus.

I would definately mention this at your next Antenatal appointment.

my uterus is a little above my belly button but like i mentioned im not very sure why its happening but its very sore i cant hardly move without it hurting im quite worried

my next appointment isnt until 23rd september but am seeing my Dr next monday, i guess i could just ask him especially if it continues

    thanks for the reply

is it a localised pain or general?
My bellybutton area was very sore at times around the 20-23 week mark.

hunni its probably just growing/stretching pains. my uterus is past my belly button now and I get those kinds of pains every now and then. or it could be braxton hicks I have had a few of those lately too

Localized means specific to one area or spot, like your belly button or one particular spot on you tummy.

General means that it's spread all over your tummy.

    Is one spot specifically sore??

I do get pains right up under the ribcage, on either side. I don't know if it's the same thing. If it seems very bad, best to ask your caregiver about it.

Might pay to try to get in to see a middie or ur doc about it just to be sure but its probably just growing/ stretching
Always better to be safe than sorry
