    Hi all,

A beer, a really strong malty beer like a Killkenny or something. Sadly not one I can indulge in. I loved the smell of bleach with my last PG. I bleached my whole house when cleaning, I just couldnt get enough. My doctor called it Pica, its when you crave really unusual things like eating sand or chalk or the smell of petrol or paints.

Oh, how I miss beer. It's only on really hot days that I seem to crave them, but REALLY strong cravings. I indulged in one for xmas and may have one on my birthday in Feb, but my midwife will hit me so very very hard for it.

All i can think of at the moment is chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate... and unfortunately the fridge is full of it from Xmas stocking and treats!

Sweetened condensed milk. Can't get enough.
When I was pg with DD1, I couldn't stomach 'home-cooked' food and ended up eating takeaway far too often. McDonald's, KFC, whatever. It was all I could bear to put in my mouth. That, and cheesecakes from the Cheesecake Shop. It wasn't until after I gave birth that I realised the continental ones I like probably contain raw egg and are therefore a no-no. This time around I'm okay with eating decent food, but I'm *always* craving condensed milk, I'm sticking tins in the fridge and then cracking them open at night to eat in front of the TV!!
I would kill for a cheesecake again, but yeah... being a bit more careful this time. Oh, and I also want to eat tinned smoked oysters on crackers non-stop, but again, for every article telling me they're okay, I find another saying I can't have them, so I'm erring on the side of caution

^ Saaaame with the petrol. Oh god. Such a guilty pleasure, but one I love. DH usually fills the car up on his way home from work but on the very odd occasions I have to put fuel in, I stand there tingling all the way down to my toes with the sheer pleasure of the smell of it :/
    I know it's bad, but I can't help it!!

gothmum - thank god i'm not the only one. DP has teased me endlessly bout this one - as we have jokes about me giving birth to a 'feral' cos we live very north of the city (known for ferals) - hence babie's nickname 'bruce diesel' .... that and my birth certificate names a caravan park as place of residence so big family joke is that i'm 'trailer trash'..... the petrol sniffing just sends them all over the edge.... i don't care tho ;0)

Now i'm depressed just reading all the yummy food people have been eating!
I have celiac disease so have to be on a gluten free diet, only found out about it 5 years ago so i know what i'm missing out on. What i would do to eat a chesse and bacon roll from Brumbys or a 4 and 20 pie or KFC or hot chips with chicken salt. Its almost killing me some days but I know if i did eat any of that I would be really sick and my body wouldn't take in nutirants for a few days which would be bad for Peanut.
So i guess i'll stick with my slurpee's and the ocational chocolate frappee from starbucks, with lots and lots of cream!

Chow - Coles have heaps of yummy gluten free stuff in their freezer section. Meat pies, cakes, lamingtons, apple pies plus a whole heap more I can't remember. It's a really big range. Some Patties brand and a few others by memory.

As with all GF food it doesn't taste EXACTLY like the 'original', but it's pretty close!

Angela - Thanks, I am a super big fan of the GF section at Coles, just can't get the idea of really soft white bread or crispy flakey pastery out of my head. Just can't be done GF. At least there are those options now, can't imagin getting through this without patties!

    Milkshakes/thickshakes, too.
Only problem is, I can't eat soft-serve and the old fart who owns the local Wendy's refuses to make me thickshakes based on 'real' ice-cream. He used to do them for me, but I guess I ordered them too often because the last time I asked for one he told me they 'don't have 'real' ice-cream anymore'... which is total and utter BS because there were two huge tubs of it right there with the mango sorbet and after-dinner mint ice-cream!!!
I even told him he could feel free to charge me extra to make up for the inconvenience/extra cost of using dairy vs soft-serve but he's having none of it.

So, all my friends get their shakes and stuff from Donut King next door now, just to spite him.
