Hi - yes be kind to yourself (I Hear an echo that someone said that to me around the same time .....) with two kids already - you forget how much you actually do. First time you can spend hours relaxing, strolling, indulging really - then with one, let alone two, time is scarce.
Try some acupuncture perhaps for energy and keeping everything flowing and unblocked??? Worked in making me feel more human again ....
Antheia - I was just saying the same thing to a work colleague this morning! I think first time round it's so much easier to reat and take it easy. This time I seem to be absolutely flat out! I know, I need to start saying no to things.
I was exhausted until about 33 weeks pg, thats when I got my energy back! But of course my belly was so big then I couldn't do much. Just rest as much as you can, listen to your body.
I am another who has wondered about this so called return to normal energy levels in the second tri. I am feeling better now compared to a few weeks back but its not like before the pregnancy.
How is your eating going? If you are still not able to eat much during the day it could be why you're lacking in energy. Also, I agree with the others, you're doing heaps more now with two children than you were during your first or second pregnancies.
i agree with getting your iron levels checked again - and make sure they check ferritin which is your iron stores and maybe B12 levels also. I take a wonderful liquid iron supplement which is completely gentle on the stomach called Spa Tone - look for it in chemists or the chemist warehouse. My son also takes it as he has iron issues. Liquid iron is also more easily absorbed by the body than in tablet form.
Another bit of advice which may sound weird but a bit of exercise every day actually makes you feel more energetic - i know it can be hard to get movtivated some days, but set aside 30 mins and go for that walk or make yourself go to that yoga class !!
This also gives you time JUST for you, even if your children are wonderful - you still need time for yourself.
very best of luck - and please, try the spa tone stuff for a couple of weeks at least...and get those iron levels checked again.
